Ordered 2/3/2010. Build stage as well... shipping out estimated 3/3/2010.

good luck to you guys ordering the m11x. I hope dell does not screw over your orders like they did to some of the people who ordered the m17x r2.
-
Those of you that ordered the 160gb HDD - its 5400 RPM right?
I dont mind either way because an SSD is going in there, but I'd be mad if they're giving UK customers 5400 RPM and 7200RPM for USA customers. -
-
Anyone else get their status updated to an earlier time?

Just got a preorder date for scandinavia and a pricetag for Sweden.
Pre-order date: 12th february
Price: 9999 SEK, that's $1336,76 or 978,38
Sure, the Swedish price is after taxes and all but ~70% more expensive?
Too bad, was really looking forward to perhaps buying one. -
Specs: SU7300, 44G DDR3 RAM, 500GB 7200rpm HDD
Ordered date: 5th Feb
Current status: In Production
EDD: 3rd March
Revised EDD: 19th Feb
Location: Malaysia
looks like the 2-3 weeks lead time for delivery promised by Dell is going to be fulfilled. -
-
-
What a waist of time spent 20mins on hold to Dell to see if they are actually in production and all i get at the end of it was "Chin Tu Fat" telling me that the shipping date is for the 11th and i should get a phone call to arrange a delivery date, what a load of crap she was blatantly reading from a script.

Went into the build stage this morning. Order Date: 02/03/2010.
-
Darnit... Why? Must... have... awesome...
-
I'm flipping out too
-
Apparently my payment hasn't been taken yet (ordered 02/02). I phoned my sales rep who is currently verifying that the details are correct.. damnit why must I have such an obsessive personality? :]
-
Even though Dell's site has been showing orders in production, they have not been. Dell is verrry general on the stages of production that they post for orders. If you have no problem canceling an order, it is NOT really "in production".
If the sales rep says the order can not be canceled- it IS "in production" and unless held up with part shortages that are normal (one week), the product will ship within a few days. With extended part delays, the CS rep will cancel an order if the customer asks- after discussing with the production rep. -
Still in build stage... (growing more impatient by the nanosecond)
-
-
I just canceled mine. Didn't think I would get enough use out of it....oh well.
-
Woots mine just moved up in line. Thanks Mandrake!
-
-
only kidding,
-
I don't have a notebook so this will be my primary notebook (aka: used all the freakin time)

Just ordered and paid an m11x.
Got it at the European prices, but got a nice discount after mentioning the US prices and coupons.
Dell states it thinks it can deliver the lappy at Feb 22 at the latest, way before I expected. -
For some reason Europe is getting their lappies before USA. I wonder why that is? If it's delayed due to Chinese New Year as seems to be speculating, then it seems it would affect everyone not just USA.
-
Shorter Distribution chains?
Less customers/orders than the USA market?
It is....roughly 150% Higher price than in the USA, maybe they make more money from these orders?
Use Euro customers as early testing for issues? Who knows. -
Pretty sure the manufacturer has different plants for each region... it is very likely the european countries are not going to be manufactured in the same plant as the US. this could explain both the price difference (cheaper for some to build depending on labor costs in area) and the time difference (some areas have different holidays than others)

Well the US of A gets engraved nameplates, while everyone else just gets a plate slapped on... So... yeah T_T
-
Oh crud... My dell rep just told me they might not be able to make the deadline
-
-
Cause I am now leaving early. 25th flat. Prelim EDD is 26th. T_T Pity the poor rep who got me.
