yeah the nice lady keeps tellin me build stage.. so gross

 

she said mine is 5 days sooner. but i take it with a grain of salt :| .. either way.. people who ordered after me.. or on the same day are getting theirs.. which makes me jealous and sad.

 

That is because the "automated lady" is stating and ESD, which stands for Estimated Ship Date.

Online shows an EDD, which stands for Estimated Delivery Date.

These are two different things

If my status isn't updated by Monday, some poor Dell rep is going to get a pissed off customer.

 

i ordered yesterday 2/19 and later that night the status went into production. that's what the website says. how fast does it usually take for them to be "put into production"? cause either that was really fast or im just getting excited and they always say "in production"

 

My M11X has been traveling to me for the last 3 days and I'm getting antsy. There were no "speed up my shipping plz" options for us Canadians. I'm hoping by Mon or Tues it'll finally arrive. Still on "U.S.A. GROUND LINEHAUL".

 

It really depends on the product. For some its typical to be that fast. However for the M11x thats fast.
It took me a whole week to get into production, and now its almost a week later and its still in production - that is normal though - i think you can expect the production phase to take 5-8 days, any longer than 10 is not normal in my opinnion.

 

i was in production a day after i ordered.. and been that way.. for .. quite some time.

 

Just moved over to Shipped, EDD 2/23/2010. Ordered 2/3.

 

All these people saying theirs is shipped when mine isn't even at boxing yet makes me a sad panda.

@Sero.. you're not alone man.. not even close to alone.. There seems to be a handful of us who just got owned to be honest.

Feb 2. It still says EDD of March 8 on order status and via phone.

I'm from the US and ordered a black one with only the processor upgrade on 2/2 and I'm still "In Production" on the site and in the "Build Stage" on the automated phone system.

EDD of 3/4

 

Just got my delivery date updated to 2/23. Awesome!!

 

I have a feeling if I placed a 2nd order it would arrive before my 1st order the way things are going.

called customer support at 5:15 P.M. CT to see if I could get a tracking number "We're sorry but the customer support office is closed, office hours are 7 AM to 7 PM CT 7 days a week" ?!? grrrr

 

Mine shipped out today too, EDD now 2/25 for Philadelphia area.

 

wow. I guess from East Coast.. to Midwest ..then hopefully west coast?? .. that's poo.. i always thought china could be reached the other way.. not having to pass through Europe. ARGH!

 

Not east coast, I haven't gotten mine yet.

This is a little bit BS too. I ordered on 2/2 as well and have been stuck in the build stage. We should be getting our M11xs at the same time as everyone elses, if not earlier. Some poor rep will have a difficult time with me if my status doesn't change on monday.

Seems like a lot of people who ordered on 2/2 including myself are getting kicked in the balls.

 

I would recommend calling in if you ordered 2/2, I think for whatever a reason a lot of early orders got delayed. I ordered 2/2 and mine was not moving at all, I called last Thursday to complain, they refunded shipping and set it overnight, then expedited. A day later mine is in boxing, and now it has updated to shipped with a EDD of this coming Tuesday. I really think if I had done nothing I would still be sitting in build right now.

 

Mine finally jumped from the original 3/8 & 3/5 dates originally popped to 2/23!!! Looks like I will be taking the 23rd as a personal day!

 

Called my rep and was told backorder on base CPU SU4100 and battery, can't believe what the Dell reps say. So as of today, reps have been saying power cords, hard drives, battery, etc are backordered. I geuss they say anything for you to get off the phone???

Yeah it "shipped" today but probably not till Monday. If you're still having issues by Tuesday I'll give you my Order #. I'm not exactly sure how safe it is to give that out now, sorry.

 

can someone please tell me where to find an email for customer service or something, I'd really like to know why people who ordered 5 days after me are receiving theirs and mine is still in the build stage.

This is getting ridiculous. Anyone else have luck with emailing a dell rep?

 

yea it is ridiculous. By phone is the best way, though, and we won't be able to talk to a rep until monday, because it's the weekend?

yea it's probably not but sometimes to prove a point to a dell rep they'd ask for an order #.. i emailed him not too long ago about how some people are receiving it earlier but ordered the same day(I didn't put any order#'s).

He hasn't replied cause he's not working but we'll see

 

Yea what number are people using to get a rep to push their orders? The numbers I've tried just repeat what the automated number says.

 

Well if your rep doesn't get back to you or has bad news for you on Monday then go ahead and PM his/her email and your name and I'll go ahead and send an email over with my order #. Not sure if they can match conversations, knowing Dell, but it's worth a try to get yours going. Are you still in build, production, mars what lol?

Same here, mine just updated to Monday. Hope they are OK with the whole note on the door thing, it does say Indirect Signature, so I think it will work.

 

Mine shipped from Nashville, TN. Will be arriving 3PM on 2/22, keeps getting better!

Got my tracking updated on the dell website also. Shipped out 2/20, EDD 2/23 wish I was getting it on 2/22 though, I payed for next day shipping.

 

Still stuck in the build stage ... Man this is getting ridiculous.
