My Lunar Silver will be landing 2/23 fedex express Cant wait!

 

This looks very promising. Maybe some Dell rep won't be getting a nasty call.

 

We can only hope. I'm gonna write my speech if it doesn't update.

 

@wing = The Dell malaysia Order Status page is down. Your EDD is a saturday. Will it come on Friday even if its a public hol over here?

EDIT: Even the phone system is down. Did someone nuke Dell KL last nite?

I'm looking at the order screen showing 3/23/2010 And I live in round rock! I know, prob doesn't matter.

 

Been watching this thread for a few weeks, I ordered on 2/2 and today I got an email saying it had finally shipped, edd is 2/23! I ordered the Cosmic Black, SU7300, 4gb, 250 gb 7200, Custom name plate. Im in IL, United States. Not sure if this helps anyone else around this area as far as when they might get theirs.

 

i ordered yesterday 2/19 and my edd is 3/22 but im assuming it will get here earlier than that.

 

Well I just ordered the EPP version. Black, SU7300, 4gb, 500gb

EPP forces you to get the 4gb RAM and 500gb HD or the SSD. It also forces the 15month mcafee subscription. Without the AV it would really be a good deal.

So it sets you back $1019 before tax. Free shipping. I think it's a saving of $70 or so over a similarly config'd non epp system without AV.

I wish they still built 'em here I'd likely get it in a week. Ah well

With so many people getting theirs shipped today, it means all of you stuck in build will see your status update soon.

 

My EDD is still March 18th. May be mine will have the updated BIOS by then.

RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE. Just got my invoice delivered to me so that means it being mailed to me. I'm on holiday in the US and won't be back in the UK for 3 weeks! GAH! It would of been the same anyway but just knowing it is gonna be in the UK waiting for me sucks.

 

Nah, what would suck is that you are in the US and could have gotten it for half the price instead of Dell UK.

To those that got "carrier has package" or w/e my tracking number just now was emailed to me hopefully it updates tomorrow and it gets here monday since I paid for overnight; but I'm no getting my hopes up and have cleared my Tuesday calendar.

 

Hopefully some update happens while I'm asleep. I'd love to wake up and see "Estimated Delivery Date: 2/23/2010 (Updated)" It would give me a very good reason to skip class.

 

@ceol = What I would give for a surprise like that... Owh well... Mine's still giving me In Production...

 

they should give me the 2/23 edd lol. it its helps dell its my bday soon lol. Mine is still in the in the building stage hell.

@ceol = Yes you can. If only wishing actually worked... Who knows. The Dell order status site for my country is dead... Someone must have robbed the server room.

 

Just got emailed my invoice containing my service tag but still showing in production on my order status page. Hopefully monday it pops

 

Mine updated todayand shows shipped, but with a 2/23 delivery. I also have overnight shipping.
I figured they must have completed boxing my computer (finally, after 5 days) and pre-printed the fed-ex label on Saturday, Fed-Ex will pick up the box on Monday and deliver on Tuesday. Works out well for me though, I will be working out of town on Monday, but should be home all day Tuesday.

 

My EDD is the 1st of march.
I got an invoice now, but the order status is still on production (the mail tells to check the status of the order if no shipment information was sent out yet):

Does this mean that production has finished internally but it was not shipped yet?

 

@morkeleb = If its shipped, the status should have changed from in production to something else (Shipped/Shipped from factory etc) so your guess shouldn't be too far from the mark.

 

i dont knwo i just got my invoice aswell my edd is still the same and status is still in production

 

Mine says shipped and should be here 2/23. It says "Next Business Day". Do you know if they ship next business morning or next business afternoon? I only ask because I have a doctor's appointment at 11am on that day.

 

In Production Of course I think it's the weekend and I'm not sure if they work weekends. Guess I shouldn't be too worried, looks like I'm still on schedule for my April 2nd Delivery.

 

FedEx shows mine before 3pm. From passed experience in my area I always receive FedEx packages between 12 and 2pm. It various depending on where you are in the route and of course the drivers load.

Check FedEx for a "delivered by" time for a rough idea. Worst case if you miss the delivery you should be able to pick it up as they will leave a slip that tell you what time it will be at the facility for pickup.

 

@dan = lol... Dell has lots of room to make that delivery. It can always airdrop it.

 

Yeah my tracking updated this morning saying it was picked up from Nashville (I live in Cape Girardeau, MO so about 3-4 hours away) So to me since I paid for overnight it should be here tomorrow, but it shows 2/23 still Hopefully when I wake up tomorrow it will show "In transit" to my house. Either way I just cleared tomorrow's calendar too lol.

 

so anyone order a 256GB SSD with their M11x? I've only seen one with SSD ship. Dell rep told me that is my reason for being behind, but I dunno why others on 2/3 are stuck too. Just curious..

 

I ordered one with the 256gb ssd too. Ordered 8th, went into production 15th, and I got an invice today stating shipped date is the 20th (and invoice date is 21st), but the order still states production.
My guess is that internally production has finished but the package has either not shipped yet or was not handed over to my shipping company (UPS) yet - which I estimate will happen on monday or tuesday.

 

Are they shipping from different areas in the US? I got FEDEX tracking information for my order and it claims to be arriving still in 2/23 (on the dell order page) but if its coming from the east coast...pretty sure it wont be two days. Gotta figure out what day to take off gah!

 

Dell order status site has updated from "Delivery Preparation" to "Shipped" along with the tracking number, etc.

FedEx doesn't show the package as picked up yet however. It is the same tracking number that I was able to pull up previously via my order number / zip code on the FedEx site.

EDD remains 2/23 - Ship Date is today.

 

^^ Phone (2210) confirms above - and states that the system is "In Transit to the Carrier (FedEx)"

I'll update with the location once it's been posted on FedEx.

 

Well after 10+ days im finally out of the build stage.
Still has an EDD of 3/4. But we shall see.

 

thanks for your info.. so your order from the 8th is already prepping to ship? Wow, my order from 2/3 has not moved at all =( Would you mind PM'ing me your order# so I can ask about why my order is not moving and that SSD is not the issue? Totally up to you though.

 

Mine shipped on the same day from the same location, but will be delivered tomorrow. And I live in Michigan. Also, my credit card hasn't been charged.

 

Mine's also coming from Nashville and should arrive tomorrow.

I bought it on a Dell Preferred Account and have not been charged either.

 

2/3 build hell as well.... getting ticked

 

omg i think dell listened to my birthday plead i posted yesturday. It just turned to Preparing to be shipped which puts me out of build hell and i ordered 2/11 too

 

Also ordered 2/3 with a 256GB SSD, and I'm still stuck in build as of a few minutes ago. Many calls and emails to customer service have finally resulted in a "we'll see if we can expedite" but that was several days ago and there has been no change. I know that I've been in build since 2/5.

 

And I'm on day 17 of build hell...

Man it feels like I been waiting inline forever and everyone its cutting in front
