*OFFICIAL* M11x Order Status Discussion Thread

I ordered my first M11x on 2/3 with my DPA. I talked a buddy into buying one on 2/5 using my DPA. His went out of production into boxing at 11pm on 2/23 PST. Mine stayed in production until 2/24 when it changed to boxing stage at 11pm PST. His order went into shipping Saturday morning(2/20) and is currently estimated to deliver tomorrow(2/22) by 3PM. I am stuck in boxing still! Im so pissed cause now my best friend is going to have his first, and I had to pull his leg to get him to order one. Mine has always been a day behind his, and Im hoping to wake up in the morning to shipped status. Im definately gonna try to get my shipping refunded since this is pissing me off, my Dell rep has been pretty chill To confuse this timeline even more, my older brother ordered one an hour before me on 2/3 and his has shipped as of 2/20. His is showing no tracking information, however my best friend's computer is currently in memphis and can track through fed ex's website. This sucks so bad! BOXING SUCKS!

I'm really not happy with this experience. It would be different if i'd actually get info from the dell reps, (canada, india) but all they do is read the same crap that I do from the dell website. Even the email replies I get are useless info, regurgitating my EDD

 

Anyone from Canada actually got a phone number that I can talk to a proper rep? Everyone on here has a decent rep by the sound of it. Or an automated Canadian number??

I'm gonna cry if some of our m11x's went down in a riot or a fire. It's going to be almost 3 weeks that I've been in the build stage.

 

Cool down guys. Thats in mexico. Our babies are in china. But then again Macs are made by foxxconn...

Anyone else's shipped order not have your address or a tracking number on the Dell order status page online?

My impatience has turned into worry.

 

Yeah I have that as well....I ordered on the 2/3, still in build stage. My billing and shipping address has been like that for quite sometime now though, not sure what to make of it.

Yea, mine just said 'N/A' during the build stage (Probably what yours says) and I thought nothing of it.

Guess I'm giving them a call tomorrow to find out whats going on.

 

Finally an update. Ordered 2/3, Been in build stage 16 days and now finally Boxing stage but still EDD 3/4 (overnight shipping). Now I can take a chill pill even if boxing takes 5 days at least my baby is built!

 

Good to know I'm not the only on who has that N/A next to the address. Im starting to get impatient with them as well, it seems to be really disorganized and its driving me nuts. In your case and from what previous posters have mentioned , the status page is really slow to get updated. But I would contact them just to put your mind at ease.

 

wow i got a estimated shipping date of 2/25 for choosing 5 - 7 day shipping and ordering on 2/11. i love you dell

 

Glad to hear one of the other 2/3 people are moving. So many people are stuck. Did you just try calling again and got an update? I just called like 2 hours ago LOL. I'm tired of hearing that BUILD stage crap

 

Hey Azn, After seeing Exiled getting swift service I sent an e-mail to my Dell Rep Manager and complained. They did not reply yet to my e-mail but 5 hours later I magically go into boxing. Until they e-mail me back and take credit I'll leave it to coincidence and just be happy.
I'm hoping everyone who ordered 2/1, 2/2, 2/3 & 2/4 stuck in build stage will wake up tomorrow morning with good news as well

 

I wish I had some sort of rep I could email. How do you guys have reps anyway? I just placed my EPP order and that was that. If I want to speak to anyone I gotta call the number and of course it's always someone different that doesn't know my situation =(

 

@threader= exlied's status just makes even less sense considering that the early orders are still sitting around... But good to hear you're out of purgatory

@azn = I called in to order and kept the rep's email and ext number. Just ask the rep for their's the next time you call in and get a helpful one

 

@ Nuke = Thanks and I'm sure the Chinese New year vacation is over now and all orders will start rolling out at Max speed and yours and Azn's are going to be next!

 

thanks for the encouragement guys. My GF thinks I'm crazy calling Dell all the time, and she tells me to just wait it out til my EDD since that's what I was told, but I tell her how everyone else is getting shipped now already lol. She just doesn't understand - although it doesn't help I'm following these boards.

Are you guys getting your shipping updates via website or phone number? I'm thinking I want to give dell a "friendly" call in the next day or two if nothing changes. Other than that...I guess I can expect my computer next week. And if I don't get it by the 4th...there's gonna be some serious raging going around.

 

@azn = My gf doesn't understand my obsession too but she's too busy with college work to bother lol. She bought her Vaio CW just because it was pink sooo lol.

@darkamikaze = I have subscribed to around 5 AW m11x threads. I know how your F5 key feels mate.

@nsxrrmaniac = I use both. And I ring Dell twice every working day. Didn't get my order anywhere but heck its worth a shot. I have nothing to lose.

 

the phone service is quicker. they have more updated information that the website and they can tell you exactly what stage your laptop is in.

did u try asking the customer rep for his extension so you can keep calling the same guy

 

I think all of us who ordered around 2/3.. are in the same silly assembly line. There's something going on in that assembly line :|

Probably the sheep got too caught up eating cables cause they thought it was hay... Owh well. My Dell rep is "Out Of Office" gah

 

Maybe all the employee's in charge of the 2/3 assembly line just love the laptops so much that they took them home for a week.

 

why would they do that.. they probably could make laptops out of cupboards and bowls since their so pro! >_+! ahh poo.

for people in the uk whos orders have shipped, on my walsh western tracking i have carrier "ISL". can anybody tell me who ISL is ?

also they say my m11x was shipped on the 18th but i have had no other updates after the 18th, is this normal ?

I think, from a brief googling, that "ISL /Island Delivery" might be a subcontractor to Walsh Western. Though the only company that pops up immediately with that name is one in Scarborough (in Ontario Canada, not the North of England ). Blogs seem to imply a subcontractor... nothing too explicit out there that's worth linking even.

Dont give up. Mine was a 2/3/10 build with a 3/4/10 EDD. Mine went into boxing last Wednesday and shipped Saturday AM with a new delivery date of today via FedEx Overnight. This is a US order though, SU7300, 4GB, 320GB, Bluetooth, Custom Nameplate.

I know this doesn't help you, but at least the 2/3/10 orders are shipping.

 

might be worth phoning walsh western also.

 

WOOHOO, finally I've got some movement, although minor. I am in the BOXING stage now! But EDD on phone and website has not changed. Here's to hoping it will soon. Wonder how long Boxing stage will take considering some people here are stuck in boxing or never saw boxing and went straight to carrier's hand/shipping. Oh well, anything other than hearing "build stage" is a plus in my book. Wishful thinking I'll get it before the end of the week though.

 

And someone's out of purgatory. Congrats. I'm still stuck

 

I've just had a nice Robot lady phone to confirm mine will be delivered on the 24th.

It departed China last Friday and will be delivered by UKMail.

If you had overnight shipping you probably will get it this week.

I went into boxing wednesday night, shipped saturday morning. Should be arriving today according to FedEx.

I'd imagine yours will ship wednesday, so you'll have it thursday. Good luck!
