Just checked my order status and it has been shipped as of this morning. I went from 2 weeks of build stage to boxing stage just last friday and now its shipped. For those who are stucked in the build or boxing stage, I am sure you will see updates in the next few days if not hours so don't loose hope.

okay so I officially hate fedex my package is sitting at the facility in my town about 10 minutes with traffic from my house and the status is "not schedule for delivery today" so they are not going to delivery it until tomorrow

 

can't you ring them up and pick it up from the depot?

 

I'd hate to be in your situation Mines still in China and lovin it!

 

The reason I am so nervous about the delivery dates and I want to make sure people are getting them by the EDD. I leave on a three week trip 2 days after my EDD and would really hope to have it on a 14 hour plane flight.

Is this acceptable to have it here in my Sig?

 

Just tried, the lady on the phone told me the shipment container it came in on at 8am is not scheduled for sorting until this evening. I just had her place a hold on it so I can go pick it up at 8:30 am instead of having to wait for the FedEx dude all day. I may try to call back at 6:00pm tonight and try again as the local hub doesn't close until 7:00pm.

 

where you from is that what the tracking website says mine says departed facility i dont know if its on the plane or not lol

 

Hey that looks familar. I called Fedex and they said I could go pick it up tonight. We'll shall see....

I placed my order on 2/14/10. My EDD just updated to 2/27. Called the alienwa number and it's in getting ready to be shipped. Got a Custom name tag on mine. Doing the normal shipping because I want to take the day off so that they won't place it outside my door under my doormat. Of course, it'd be awesome if it actually came on 2/27 so I wouldn't have to miss a day.

 

*Edit* Missed that you were asking for UK orders, I'm in the US..

Mine was 4 days Ahanslot, 4 long long days

Are you going call again or are you just going to try to pick it up?

 

Fed Ex had me for delivery on the 23rd, apparantly they tried to get me TODAY!!! Called them up and am going to try to pick my baby mini-me between 5:30-6:30, basically whenever the truck gets back..... hopefully this works out, gotta rely on public transportation to get there and back.
Sometimes do the Fed Ex trucks get back to their warehouse sooner, or do they just keep making the rounds and really get back at 5:30pm?? Just wondering if anyone had experience with this.

Just phoned customer services to try to get an order status update - I spoke to a very weary sounding guy, who said that apparently the order was 'sent to manufacturing' (like everyone says, the factory in china), but he was unable to give any information beyond 'the order will be shipped to the UK on thursday and will be with you on friday'

sounds like textbook script stuff, but i can be optimistic, right?... right?

I hate that, also, "next business day" shipping, is well, a lie.

My order was in transit over the weekend, it was in transit on sunday. The "next business day" is MONDAY, not Tuesday. I think its ridiculous actually, the should called it 2nd business day, becase that is what it is.. It is not delivered the "next business day" period.

I am going to try and get the shipping charges refunded.

 

I had next business day as well with an EDD of 2/23, well it came TODAY, wished they coulda told me, so I could take today off rather than tomorrow....

 

On the phone with Dell Phillipines right now .. They say no back orders. Because I called they waived the shipping and have put me on a high priority list for closure and ship.

Lets see what happens.

All of a sudden mine's *very* close to my location - called up fedex automated line and it's "en-route to the station" in my zipcode...

Delivery's scheduled for tomorrow.. It's gonna be a *long* night..

 

I called again and the rep says there has been a delay on this model and didn't understand how some people got them already. Told me he was gonna contact me within 24 hours with whats holding up my order and try to give mine priority.

at least your rep wasn't in denial. My rep kept saying he's been working with alienware problems for some time and no alienware system has ever shipped 2 weeks after it's been ordered :|.
He kept saying that person who received it already doesn't have an M11x

He said if there's a shortage of parts he'll let me know but he's pretty big fail.
Can anyone provide a proof of an order number. -_-; this is bleh!

My order date was 2/10 and my EDD is 3/11. On the website, it says my order is in production, however the Dell automated voice lady tells me it is still being processed. Should I be worried about that do you think?

Mine is taking forever in the build stage. I ordered 2/2, from US.
Specs: 7300, 4g ram, 320 gb hdd, WWAN, custom nameplate, black.

 

Anyone else's order weigh a whopping 18lbs/8.2kg??

Color me confused. (Crossing fingers they shipped me 2-3 by accident. Hahahaha)

I’m starting to wish I had just cancelled my order and waited for Dell/Alienware to release a version with a faster processor. Maybe it is buyer’s remorse and I should just suck it up, but I think Dell has made a mistake here. If you shell out money to be an early adopter, you shouldn’t be left wondering why more recent orders are already in owners’ hands while your older order is inexplicably in limbo. A laptop, especially one with a low power consumption CPU, can only hope to be cutting edge for about 19 nanoseconds. Dell has used up my 19 nanoseconds and it just isn’t going to be the same when I’m back in town a month from now to finally hook up with my m11x.

 

Yep i had the Call Friday to confirm the delivery time/date well fingers crossed

Fed-Ex just dropped mine off! Setting it up now, gotta say though, it's worth the wait guys... the build quality even before you turn it on is amazing, and the size is better than I thought it'd be.

Ordered 2/2/10, arrived today, 2/22 about 1PM

EDIT: and the grey color is great, much happier than I thought I'd be with it, it is a dark/gunmetal grey color.

 

Wait, what? you were only going to enjoy it for a month? I think you should've cancelled too if that is the case. I plan on enjoying mine until the next revision comes out.

 

I just called my rep to ask about status, still on target for 3/8. I asked why some already shipped that were an older order date (mine was 2/2) he said that it must have been a different configuration, but after verifying that some had the same config he was at a loss for an explanation.

Where do you see it update to be in build stage? The order status just says in production since 2/7 and the phone also say in production. Do they chang to building at some point?
