    @wing = Nah too exp, could have gotten it from my boss's store instead. RM3950 ish with a Belkin Case and Ext DVD burner. And same amount of time waiting. Only got it from Dell online cause a SG Dell Chat rep told me it was "faster". Like wth? Sigh... What does your phone status say?

    Thats a dealer/staff price. Retail is about 4100 ish. Yep 3999 specs. Boss told me no engraving cause the head of Dell Asia thought the market wasn't "suitable" for it.... Plus it was only released for retail about 3 days ago... Groans.

    EDIT: I'M OUT OF BUILD PURGATORY! Phone status gave me what you got but EDD is... 3/3... Gah...

    dang~ should've gotten it from the store then. :(

    well, all the 'Asians' i came across wanted engraving. lol

    mine completed build on 19th and delivering tomorrow (24th). excluding weekends that would be 4 working days in between.

    you might be able to get it before you board your flight if you manage to get your case escalated with 'first priority'. screw the EDD! mine was 3/3, back to 27th and delivering on 24th. :D

    Now we know its in stores, we can start planning for R2. :D Basically boss told me 3 days ago that Alienware laptops just got released for retail. They have all three colours for the m15x. :D :D :D :D

    Me no know mate, even UK doesn't get it so I won't start whining... Yet.

    Ori EDD 3/8, now 3/3... So... Delivering... 2/27? Oh dear....

    They all use the same battery except for the purgatory orders. Those systems run on 88 octane frustration.

    I got restless and called in again. Got a rep that told me the most info I've ever gotten, could be real, could be BS.

    He told me that my order had a part shortage, and could not tell me which part it was because assembly doesn't state it (so for all your other reps that got specific parts, i dunno), and that my order actually missed the original internal delivery because of it, so it's been put in priority. Guess I'll probably have to wait out my EDD 3/4 and hope for the best.

    None of my combinations of Order Number and either PO Number, Customer Number or IR Number seem to let me view my order tracking page, but my order number will let me check the status over the telephone. Anyone know what's going on here? Am I entering something in wrongly?

    By the way (OT), I'm new here and have been lurking the M11x threads before and after ordering - thanks for all the help!

    Blah! just found out that you can be in "boxing" and STILL have a part problem. Also, they have had MANY part shortages at one facility:

    1. CPU (production stage)
    2. Memory (production stage)
    3. Power supplies / cords (impacts boxing stage)

    We could still be screwed IF there are power supply shortages still- AND if the backorders are piled up. That CW27FX that my local Bestbuy is holding until Saturday is getting more tempting. Runs quiet and cool and kicks the SU7300's butt playing MAME and PCSX2. Not a Mini-Me though...sniff-sniff. Then again, when including the external DVD drive- same weight....

    The CW27FX I canceled/returned is still at my local Best Buy- one of the sales people knows me and said it is still there. It ships back on Saturday. The product sold out (except that one, at least). They still are taking orders for the indigo color though. Me wants black, since it is truly wack.

    I am a spiteful . I may jump back to the CW27FX, if only because it runs more quiet and cooler. I am reading reports that the M11x goes into hovercraft mode when running 3D games. Anyone that can refute this claim? Makes sense to me, given the size and beefy GPU that needs cooling.

    Yes, my waffling back to the CW27FX is almost 100% due to me being a spiteful ;) Still want Mini-Me though.... Need syrup!

    On the tracking it says on fedex vehicle for delivery today........

    What are the chances that it's on another truck on the way to my house?

    You can cancel up to the point it is in "build stage", since that is when it is really in production. All the other production stages besides build and boxing are place holders.

    Almost 100% its on the same truck, just a different form of delivery. They will deliver all the overnight stuff then come back later with ground. Done it to me a bunch...very odd.

    A question:

    "in production" has many stages, one of which is "boxing"
    How do I find out what stage off production mine is in?
    When I phone a rep they just say "in production", the Dell site just says "in production". I'm in Canada so the automated number doesn't work.

    Please Advise.

    Home tries (usually) to deliver in the evening, since they know it is residential. they deliver up to like 8pm, I usually get stuff form them between 5pm and 8pm (I prefer this since I have time to get home from work)

    ACK! I was gone from 10:30 to 12:30 today and of course they had to stop by to deliver it at 12:05pm today and I missed it! I could pick it up from the depot but that's like 40 miles away! No friggin way! Now I gotta wait for tomorrow. Ack!
