Mine arrived like 1 hour ago. Very nice build I like it.

 

what kind of shipping method did you get madcow?

and I assume you have an external USB DVD since you said discs? =)

 

I have to say that the old saying "Ignorance is bliss" is really true in this case.
When I ordered my m11x my EDD date was 3/8. I was ok with that. But after finding this forum and thread, seeing all the status updates and early ships, I got all anxious and wanted it sooner.

Knowledge is a very dangerous thing!

 

Wow- out of the blue, I get a call from Dell and a case rep. She went out of her way to apolagize for the part issues but assured that the boxing stage is not possible unless ALL parts are accounted for. She explained that when the M11x is in "boxing" stage, it is actually in transit to the final boxing assembly point, (Manuals, dvds, main powersupply, etc), boxed and then shipped to the customer.

Though I was never-ever rude, I still feel bad.... She seemed VERY sincere and she called me- not the other way around. Need to give her a good CS review. I need a beer.

Just recieved mine today. Im at work pulling a 12 hour shift so i thought i would not see it until about 8pm. Just so happen i was coming back from smoking and FEDEX was delivering something to my building. Ran him down to see if he had it on his truck. Luckily he did. I can proudly say i ran down the FEDEX guy for my laptop. Ordered it on 2/4.

 

uggg same here... the automated phone lady let it ring for a whole 60 seconds before picking up... I think that computer is telling me something...

 

Hmm, my order status says the EDD is still 3/4/10, however I have a very sinking feeling that it will probably change at some point

 

I am in boxing limbo still with the 3/4 EDD since I have next business day that they upgraded me to for free.

 

awww man that blows...mine is still 3/4/2010, but i have a feeling that will change soon

 

damn guys, that really sucks, I was under the hope that it may not be early but just meet the 3/4 EDD, but to be pushed back? That's BS.

 

nevermind my rep just did a typo still 3/8... gah.. I hope it will ship soon..

I just get a lady recording, "press 3 for order status" then when I do that it asks me for my order number. Am I doing something wrong?

 

Mine just moved from "boxing" to "shipped" w/an EDD of 2/25/2010. I had NBD shipping and the original EDD was 3/4/2010.

yes, like I said if you don't hear music right after dialing and before the voice, press 4, then 2, then 1, then 1 then order #. Don't listen to what she says lol, just listen for music at the very beginning. There probably WON'T be music, so just press 4 to start, after that then there will be some music but that's different =)

Is anyone still stuck in the build stage or are previous build purgatory residents moving on to the next level of boxing purgatory? I have this horrible feeling my m11x is going to be further delayed. I hope I don't get one that can't OC lol.

 

I've been in build hell since 2/11. I asked my Dell rep who we deal with here at work if he could expedite and he was able to confirm there is some parts shortage affecting my build, so who knows when my status will change.

 

Call and raise hell, this is a dell scam that they used a lot on the 1645 issue I talked about. They basicly cancel and remake your order so that they can give you a new EDD without having to notify you of an issue.

That exact shenanigan got me a $200 credit after I yelled loud enough on my 1645... good luck.

 

when did you order? Until you've been in build hell for another week, there are others here (darkie, nsx, ceol) that have more to complain about =) me? 18 days before I went to boxing. Now I'm shipped status.

 

My order just showed (within last two hours) as shipped today. How about other current production purgatory members?

Just order my M11x and its gone into work in progress with EDD of 10/03/10
Strange thing is when i ordered it didnt state if there where any pre installed games but some people have pre installed games on there orders. Just have to wait and see i suppose??

 

only WoW can be preinstalled, it's under the customization tab I believe? That and Steam which is not a game, but game download client. Although Portal is installed with steam, which IS a game =) and that is defaulted to being installed.

 

I believe it's only US that get that option,-maybe- Canada but iirc UK orders don't have the option to pre-install games. Otherwise I would've defo had WoW pre-installed rather than being stuck here at 71% and it's been goddamn eight hours LOL.

This is what i feared. Why cant everyone have the same menu of upgrades and pre installed options is bizarre i didnt even get the option for the engraving which isnt a biggy but even my machine is being built on the same line as U.S. machine then why not same options??

 

Still in build stage, ordered Feb 2. I just want either this to ship or the new Macbook Pro to be released so I can at least have a notebook to use.

Because it's full of all of the souls of the people who ordered on 2/3. It's also in a huge box with lots of padding.

 

2/25.. that's really good.. luckyness and as for the weight ceolwulf is right.. make sure when you get the package you unleash those souls.. or they will torment you forever D:

Look i wouldn't take anything the reps tell you without a major-double-biggie-sized grain of salt.

 

In my head, I'm thinking, "Oh well we're delayed so maybe they're taking more time to make sure they're okay."

In reality, I know Dell doesn't operate this way. They're more like... "Oh sh-t we forgot about these 4,000 orders! Alright: everyone just throw them in a box and shake it and whatever ones assemble properly, send 'em out!"

grrrr..... how can fed-ex ship something from Chicago to oklahoma city, only for them drive through oklahoma city and take it all the way to fort worth, now they have to put it on another truck and send it back to okc ?????? they really are the worst carrier out there.
