Order placed on Feb 15. Shipped today... Original EDD was March 19...

I'm a happy guy right now!

 

Dark, it looks like I was right. If I canceled and reordered yesterday, I would have gotten it before this EDD.

 

Ugh.. I'm sad..

if anyone has a build that is cosmic black with a nameplate.. and the only upgrade was the CPU and you've had yours either shipped or arrived.. can you help me by giving me that order#?

@ceol you are probably right canceling it and ordering it again would have probably gotten here sooner. Man oh Man I am getting ticked.

 

For what's worth my order date was 2/8 with EDD 3/5, so my actual delivery date ended up being a lot better as the 25/2.

Hopefully they're overestimating dates, then will delivery early...

EDIT: Nm, i see you're in canada... when will it actually arrive for you? I wonder if they have a production line set up for canadian/other countries that maybe doesn't have as many orders in queue?

 

Vancouver, Canada. Funny thing is I sent an email to my EPP Rep this morning asking if he could do somehing about the March 19 EDD. No answer but this evening I look at the status and it`s showing shipped with tracking number.

Edit: My guess based on previous Dell purchases is it will be here by the end of next week. More likely like Wednesday though.

 

You are lucky man. I am sick of this BS from Dell. I don't understand why they don't reallocate orders to the factory that has the parts. Tis mind boggling.

 

my girlfriend just gave me a mini lesson on being patient.. which got into a little argument that i'm sad about.
She keeps saying how mine is customized and that's why it's taking longer but she doesn't understand that everyone's is customized .. its ok.. she just doesn't know..

I hope mine doesn't come later than the EDD.. I'd be .. hell I don't even know.

Don't get too worked up about it mate, no point fighting with your significant other about something like this.

Personally my wife complained about the delivery times/non communication from Dell more than me, and it's not her laptop, lol.

 

Mine just got here, Dell order status read cleared customs until this morning.

 

Mine finally shipped. Hope the military moves it along and doens't get lazy or lose it.

Day 21 of build stage hell:
Why am I hanging around here? This is boring I know whats going to happen, nothing, dell and there evil plan.

 

I thought about that for a second but then I saw some people who ordered 2/4 got stuck with us and the coupons stopped stacking at night on 2/3.

Why can't I just give Dell money and they give me a computer? That's all I want to do. ;_;

Not only do we get the tedium of waiting, even chasing up the product, but we've also got to sit back and watch a problems thread filling up. It doesn't bode well.

Ordered 2/8 with EDD of 3/9, went into boxing late on 2/21, shipped this afternoon 2/24, supposed to arrive tomorrow by 3p. I was not expecting that.

overnight shipping to CA, just left TN ~30min ago.

never called a real person only the 2210 number. Just wanted to share my experience. My only complaint (so far) is the ~$100 sales tax for CA, overnight shipping was only $16, seems cheap for an ~18lbs box.

I feel for those of you that ordered before me.

I ordered 2/2, it's been 24 days, and I'm still in the build stage. Customization can only delay an order so far, there's only a few differences across orders. 9 days versus 24+ days means there's an issue with the production sites.

Hopefully I get get a helpful rep in the morning. I just want to know what's going on.

I agree its kinda BS when someone orders more then a week after you and gets their system within 10 days and your still waiting. I was not upset til i read this. I expected delays but i didnt expect to be ignored.

 

you should definitely call Dell to see what is going on with your order

I keep hoping I'll see my EDD suddenly get bumped up... *sigh*

 

I ordered 2/17 and am now in the "Build" stage. Any ideas on how long this stage lasts? I think I have to go through testing and boxing after this then it can be shipped.

 

There does not seem to be a rhyme or reason for the Build stage. From reading these threads for a number of days, it looks like it can be affected by parts shortages or which factory the order got sent to, or whether the name of the month has an R in it.

A fair number of people seem to have their orders go from build hell to shipped with no reports of the intermediate stages.

So, it's one big ball of confusion.

 

@ Craig - My 2/3 Order - Order/processing = 2 Days, Build Stage = 16 Days, Boxing = 3 days, Shipping 1 day. Total 22 days from Web order to delivery (Today).

 

so far mine has been: Order/processing= 4 days Build stage= 4 days and counting

 

if ur anxious to get it now its going to get worse as the days go on. Expect at least a week in building stage before it ships tho
