What is your latest EDD? My original EDD was 3/8 and now it is 3/2. I don't see my Alienware going anywhere anytime soon especially since according to the tracking #, the package has been sitting in Dell's dock since 2/25. UGHHHHHHHHHHHH!

 

It was on or before 3/19. I am psyched to get this sooner than expected.

Well it looks like my order from 2/2 has finally shipped today, i should have it by the original EDD of 3/5.

hello all i ordered my laptop on 18/02/2010 im in canada and have a edd of 22/03/2010 think i will get it sooner? Maybe i will be stuck in the slow production line. Also i'm a bit confused mine says in production as it has since day 1 and am wondering if it will go into a build stage update or if that is what in production means?

 

Mine is "In Production." According to the web site, I don't see a "Building" stage. I see In Production, Shipped, Cancelled but no Building stage.

I have an EDD of 3/15 NBD shipping. I placed my order on the 14th of this month. Could it be the custom plate that's causing the delay for everyone else?

Oh, and the fella who placed the order on the 20th but is receiving it today? What's up with that? Why was everyone else left holding the bag since 2/2 while others get lightning quick service?

 

i guess i got upgraded from 7 day to next day delivery. because Dell's EDD for me is still 3/2. and Fed Ex EDD for me is 3/2. and im obviously shipped.

 

I ordered on 2/20 also in usa im stuck in production there seems 2 b a problem with early orders i hope everyone gets theirs asap myself included my friend ordered on 2/3 still in production

I'm tempted to call and see if I can get someone to push the order through. The EDD is a little too close to the date I'm planning on being away.

My state of residence is NY. This is my first time ordering anything from Dell. They are slow. Don't care about the size of the company. They are slow. End of story.

 

mike i dont think calling will b productive from what these posts say dell gives excuses im in ny also i could be wrong but i think it comes down to a ton of orders for this machine good luck 2 all

 

well mine is a basic su7300 with a 320gb hardrive and nothing else special and from what i was told no special nameplate due to it not being available in canada yet. So maybe i will luck out and get mine sooner? probably not tho. Maybe it is the name plates causing so much hassle?

 

it sucks that some people are getting effed over, and by some people i mean the 2/3's. but dell gives u a EDD from day 1, and then its by chance when you receive your shipment. i got lucky

 

how do you check fedex EDD ? D: .. all i got is anticipated shipdate which was the 26th of feb.. even though its already march 1. :| and it still says initiated not picked up -_-

Hopefully it will ship tomorrow for the overnight 3/3 EDD.

 

I called the status line today, which has never told me more than "In Production" before, and low and behold I'm in Boxing. The EDD hasn't budged from Mar 18, but still, not bad considering I joined late on Feb 17.

Hopefully the next time I check, it'll be with FedEx.

Well, I finally decided to order one.

Unfortunately, I've been stuck with a pretty nasty delivery date. Ordered 1st March (today), EDD = 7th April.

 

I ordered mine on 2/27/2010 and my EDD is 3/29/2010. It did not take too long to jump from Pre-Production to Production. So now starts the waiting game...

Does anyone know normally how long it stays in Production before it gets shipped?

 

i think the order thng is on crack. It was telling me both roders were received in december haha. is there a different number for canadians or something?

Yeah, I ordered on 2/12 via EPP with an EDD of 3/16.

Mine shipped today and will be here tomorrow

 

@dark - when i looked at the tracking, it said estimated delivery 3/2. it also said that they received the shipment info from dell on 2/26. which equals the AW EDD of 3/3 (7days). but i dont know, it might take 7 days from the shipped day(today). i'll keep u guys posted

 

Well I gave in and spoke with a rep to check on the status of my 2/7 order. For what it's worth - was told no delays, nothing backordered, no news whatsoever. Not feeling confident, but we'll see.

and new order got placed in with edd of april 4 now ARRRGH
anyways i called and complained so they added the bluetooth module for me no charge. we'll see how long this game goes......

@Dark great news yours has shipped, I got a nice call from Purolator today saying mine will be with me Wednesday. Happy days

 

Mine arrived today, and, I'm sure much to the dismay of all the haters that I got mine in 2 days after ordering:
- It is running OC'd stable at 1.73 GHz (Played UT3 and Crysis: Warhead at this clock speed with no issues)
- I was able to transfer ownership and full warranty from Dell
- It is flawless with no imperfections around the bezel and the hinge!

I plan on doing quite a bit of gaming on this beauty, so I will post a definitive review in a few days once I have run the machine through my entire gaming arsenal ^_^

 

The way things are going you will prob get it in 3 days. lol

So I guess paying the extra loot and not going though the wait was a good thing. Congrats

and you over-paid by 500 by buying from ebay. If that makes you happy...enjoy.

Dont get me wrong some folks have the $$'s and dont care about the price...for me that $500 would have bought a lot of really cool extras/accessories.

 

I think boxing probably includes shipping from the factory to the distribution point. I would not think that everyone is getting units direct from China.

Anyone have any insight?

Oh please... his would be like 200 extra by going through ebay. Same config after tax on dell is going to be near 1100. You've been hating on that guy ever since he decided to go with the ebay system

edit: I agree with you I wouldn't pay more to get it quicker. exaggerating helps no one though

 

Right now it's at Boxing Stages where they say it's right now going through testing, even tho I only see "In Production", I wonder how long it will take to get it.

You can dial the automated hotline number. It gives you a In production: x stage line...that's about it though lol.

 

mmm I don't think mine will arrive tomorrow as the EDD says it will.. FedEx hasn't updated anything on the tracking page

 

Mine hasn't updated either, other than it is picked up. I have heard that Fedex isn't always the best at doing updates so I am hoping it will update over night.
