*OFFICIAL* M11x Order Status Discussion Thread

Mine says tomorrow too, but fedex just says "Initiated"
But dell's order EDD is 3/4 so idk

 

1-800-999-3355 option 4 gave the receptionist my order number then the receptionist pass me over to an customer service agent there again I gave them my order number and got the status that it is in the boxing stages where now they are doing testing, called them again twice and got the same answer so hope they are right. Guys what do you think

 

Being stuck in build purgatory right till the EDD is killing me. If something doesn't change in the next two days... i dunno what to do. Was about to drop some change on accessories and a ssd too T_T

 

My Order Status just updated as in transit and it is currently in memphis, tn. So hopefully it should be here tomorrow

 

lucky mine says fedex ground.. and its still only in the initiated part.. nothing about it being close by :/ lame-a-beans.

yup...i went from build purgatory to boxing purgatory...no updates all day. just bought a razer orochi and kabuto mat in anticipation...seriously hope it comes by my EDD of 3/4

 

haha im also in boxing with 3/11 sigh...

 

damm.. nothing changed all day on Fed Ex.. i guess im not going to get mine tomorrow

 

Hows this, After aleast 2 weeks my rep emails me and says

What do you think i should do ? should i email them and try and get a discount because in my eyes this is not acceptable. Any advise would be a great help.

 

A discount is unlikely since the order is already placed, but you can ask for some coupons or a discount on some accesories.

You could say something like "I'm really upset about this and considering canceling my order since this isn't the first time I've had similar trouble with Dell. I've been thinking about purchasing an asus something-or-other that is on sale this week at my local computer shop anyway." Just ensure you are talking to the same sales rep since it is his comission on the line.

You should get free next day delivery at the least.

On other news: Mine shipped today! My order date was 2/10 (After two cancellations 2/3 and 2/6 because of Dell screw-ups as well. I ended up getting a pretty sweet price.)

 

Mounja, I would call the Consessions, customer care line and explain it and that it has had a negative impact on your work. Maybe get NBD shipping or a gift card.

 

Well, a lot of the guys here used EPP and stackable coupons so they ended up with a similar/identical spec for about ~$400 less, in some cases even more. But yes, without coupons maybe ~$200 less.

Saying things like " Sorry to hear that many people here prefer to wallow in their ignorance" and " I'm not sure where you guys get some of these outlandish facts..." annoyed a few people as all the information provided to him were facts that were proven (i.e. more expensive, poor feedback etc.). We were only trying to help the guy save money and avoid a potentially risky purchase! But he got the machine quickly, and he's happy so let's leave it at that. Despite what you and the OP think, I really don't think anyone here is hating on the guy.

According to the online system boxing does not include testing. Perhaps that is really why some spend way too much time in boxing.

 

Well mine is going to be here today. It is currently on the truck for delivery so I will try to run a few benchmarks later if I have time.

 

Ordered 2/4 and my EDD has not changed from 3/5 once so im hoping its still on schedule. I also get my 128gb ssd tomorrow so hopefully itll be here in time for my graveyard shifts on the weekend.

 

@Mounja, that's exactly what happened to me. If I had the linguistic ability I'd have called up and gotten some kind of compensation for the hassle. To me, it is unacceptable when there are clearly other orders going out without problem. Go get some compensation so I can live vicariously through you!

...tomorrow would have been my delivery date, before the cancellation, now I'm looking at a week Friday assuming no earlier delivery happens. :S /mourn.

 

Just called up that order status line. My order is "currently being processed." I have no idea what that means. It's not even listed in the Dell Order Status Wiki. I tried to talk to a customer rep but they're not open until 8am Central Time. Lol.

The company seems to run hot and cold - half the orders going out early and the other half...???!!??

Edit: Got through to a customer rep. He did his best to assure me that the order is fine. I'm not too convinced though. This is my first order with Dell and this is the longest I've had to wait for an order to be "processed." Too bad xoticpc doesn't resell these systems.

Day 2 of Boxing Purgatory. I'm doubtful it will be in Boxing for nearly two weeks to get to my original EDD, but neither would I exactly bet against that.... *sigh*

Just ordered my new M11X rig, no idea when it will arrive as I'm awaiting final confirmation that payment was authorised

Beginning to get excited now, has anyone else from UK ordered and received their's yet ??? If so, how long did it take and what specs did u get urs with ?

 

For those who are waiting on Walsh Western/Syncreon for delivery mostly in the EU region, when you see call lock out, you can actually call them on this UK number 08719873355 and arrange the delivery slot, alternatively their system will try and call you to arrange delivery but you don't have to wait for it.

"Preparing to be shipped" for over 24hrs now. Fedex is in the "Initiated" status, which also says an EDD of today. This is messed up.

 

Sanders.. take that with a grain of salt.. my tracking number changed on the dell site and it turns out it was already in sun valley, ca which is not too far from my house

Well I got to unbox a tactx mouse today wooo a whole 2 mins of pleasure. I also bought a orochi mouse hasn't got here yet.

Ordered mine on 2/22 was shipped on 2/28 and EDD is 3/3. That was really fast!!!

Only call in on your EDD. Any time before that, they can still say, "Oh well you haven't reached your EDD yet so there's nothing we can do."

 

Same here i ordered 2/4 EDD 3/5. In boxing since saturday. I wonder when they start selling them @ the dell outlet

Mine went into boxing yesterday morning and my Dell rep said it would take 1 to 2 days for it to ship which would bring it to after my EDD. Such crap even if its one day later.

 

Ordered mine 2/2, not long after it came up on the site. Estimated ship time was 3/5, but I called in on Monday when I noticed a weird issue on my order status page (no billing information or shipping address listed). They confirmed for me that it wasn't an issue and they had that information, but also informed me that there was some unexplainable delay on my system, and that it will probably ship in two or three weeks - but the CSR sent in a notice to have it expedited. They then gave me next day air for free, which seems to have changed my EDD to 3/3 - which seems unlikely as it is still listed as "In Production".

I don't expect to get it by the EDD, or any time soon at all - shame, as I'm out of town all next week and was hoping to have the new machine to take with me.
