This is madness....

 

I placed my order on 2/4 EDD 3/5 stuck in boxing stage will be calling dell first thing this morning.

 

Man this is crazy. I ordered Feb 4th, and my EDD was Apr 2nd off the bat. But My system is already in the mail system. Probably in the militarys hands at this point. Sorry fellows.

Order date 2/2, ESD 3/2, EDD 3/5 and got the delay notification this morning to 3/10 . . .

Sadly I contacted a Dell rep a week ago to ask if my order was going to be on-time. She said it was fine and she would 'track it closely' LOL.

Oddly it was reported to be in Boxing at the end of last week, so not sure what the problem is . . .

 

I'm expecting the same email too. This aggravates me.

 

No update for me yet and Im still in boxing stage for my 3/4 EDD...GGGGRRRRRRR

 

I'm ordering mine in a few hours. Wonder how long it'll be before I get it. :/

 

On my last monitor order from Dell I got this 4 times. So they are being deceptive when the say they have confidence. I also had to reconfirm my order each time.

 

I'm in Day 3 of Boxing Purgatory. Would a sacrifice to appease the Dell shipping gods help?

 

Holy crap, I'm really sorry to those who've gotten pushed back. I'm still in boxing even though my EDD is tomorrow (I've got next-day shipping, though) so I'm half-expecting one of those emails in my inbox today.

This is pretty ridiculous.

 

it is pretty ridiculous...so now people understand how frustrating it is to see others, who ordered after us, already have their laptops...whereas we won't even receive ours on the EDD.

 

Ordered on 2/2, got the order delayed to 3/9 last night, cancelled my order this morning. Oh well GG Dell.

 

my dell.com order status finally just updated with shipped and gave me the fedex tracking number, EDD says 3/4 tomorrow on dells site and fedex doesn't have a EDD... ordered 2/17 tho

 

I got my delay order email this morning. Will be canceling the order. They even sent it to me twice just to rub it in my face the s. Hope you all still get yours.

 

As long as i get mine before i leave for the USAF in april i dont mind the wait.

 

By ordering from dell, you might be getting in over your head... Seems to be a real dice roll.


That being said, mine is "shipped." Just waiting for the fedex page to actually show information. GL everyone...

Yeah, I ordered 5 days after you (2/12) and got it yesterday.

Dell's queue is just like rolling dice really. Pure luck.

 

I have overnight shipping and am still in the boxing stage. They got to get this puppy out today if I'm going to get it on time for my EDD (3/4)....

Nice one. How'd you get that spec for £725 though? Even with EPP and the discounted offer in the other thread it's around £800 for that spec? Or did you catch the 4GB option before they dropped it to 2GB?

 

just checked and mine just updated to "shipped" as well! no tracking info though. i'm guessing if it was just shipped to the carrier today, it won't make the EDD of 3/4. i'll be happy if it makes it here before the weekend

The story the rep was selling today is that there is a back order of the su7300 processors. Oh and I got my order "expedited" for the 3rd time

Yea, the rep I called yesterday said she'd get my order moved up the line. Why the heck was my computer not near the front of the line with the rest of the 2/3 orders lol.

I actually had mine "moved up" on the 3rd day after ordering and it did nothing since I was one of the last ones to receive mine. It seems like BS or they submit the request and they end up getting denied.

Dell do a 3/6/10% discount for MOD orders, then VAT off on top of that. So I got 6% off, then the VAT off.

Tried really hard to sell me a 3 year warranty, too.

Edit: Just got the confirmation email, EDD - 19th March

 

It wouldn't be so bad if they had kept it at my original EDD of 3/8, but this just shows me that the thing isn't even ready at all.

Got overnight delivery so still hoping to get it on my expected delivery date tomorrow!

 

Yeah UK too, delivery to London. I don't understand how they work it at all. It certainly isn't first come, first serve anyway! The whole thing seems completely random.

 

My order, placed on 2/2, just got delayed until 3/15, when it was suppose to arrive today - and I'm from the US. That was after they "expedited" my order and they still can't tell me what the delay is.

Considering I ordered that through their business line, I'm surprised that I'm getting such horrible delays. Sucks though, as I won't be able to take it to a conference next week.

Welp, got a few calls to make today, no doubt...

 

I finaly reached shipped status updated edd 3/6 thats if i dont get effd over like everyone else im not getting pumped till its in my hands literaly

My order was on the 23/02 and it arrived today ... ... really very fast!

I had the time for a first look. Very nice machine! No dead pixels and great build quality. It feels much more expencive as it was. Sadly I have to work now and this evening so I can start to play with it tomorrow. But good to know that it is here ...

From the first look, it is worth waiting for it. I really hope you all will get your baby very soon!

FINALLY my 2/3 shipped on 3/1 and arrived yesterday (3/2) at 4pm.

 

Well, I like how he does try to keep me updated.

I'm seriously annoyed now. On the verge of cancelling. It's not so much that people are getting theres before me, that ordered "roughly" the same time, but the fact that both my systems are taking so long makes me worry that the assembley line building mine is full of noobs that dont know what they're doing. I might just "dodge the bullet" by cancelling and waiting.

 

I'd be with you Zlog, but considering I got this thing when the coupons were stacking...I'm willing to wait a little bit more. Also, I just saw some Asus N82 preview specs or something...core i5/i7 with 335m . That'd be perfect if it was in the m11x body, but too big for me.

 

That's the same exact situation I'm in. EDD of tomorrow but I'm still in boxing and no update as of right now. Too bad I'm in class so I can't call and figure this out.

When I call to check my order and I say "continue" to get the ESD, she says, "that's all the information I have right now." I'm really hoping they didn't mess this completely up, I don't feel like canceling and finding another laptop.

 

i was getting the same when i called earlier this morning. after checking again, my status finally updated to "shipped", and the tracking info shows it's on schedule for delivery tomorrow before 3pm. hopefully your info will update soon as well

 

Ordered mine on 2/4 EDD was 3/5. Just got an email sayin it is shipped and will be here tomorrow!

So yours said boxing and then it went directly to shipped later?

 

well mine was in boxing since like this past saturday, 2/27. didn't update to shipped until this morning.
