this is wht my rep said:

"I understand that it is very important for you to have the order delivered as soon as possible. However, we are facing a huge backlog at the factory, owing to supply constraint. The factory has already prioritized the orders and the orders would be built as soon as the all the components are in. We usually provide high estimated delivery dates, taking into account the backlog ,however the orders are estimated to be delivered much sooner than the dates provided. I hope this information helps."

 

That's what I'm aiming for. This is pathetic.

 

M11x ordered 2/23 - EDD 3/24 w/ NBD .... Just confirmed with my SMB rep " IN TRANSIT TO US 2-3 " so should have by mid-next week! =)

 

Well I just got off the phone and referenced the above posted order number. Guess what the clueless rep told me? She stated that the orders were different and it's because I chose "AlienFX Color, Mars Red". I tried to explain to her why that made no difference but she wouldn't hear anything of it.

I asked to speak with her manager and she did a song and dance so I asked another two times with the same responses. I finally asked her, Yes OR No, can I speak with your manager? She then stated that that's what she was trying to tell me, I needed to give her my email address so she could contact her manager. ?

I got her manager who said I had already opened a ticket and it was being looked into. I pointed out that the rep I was assigned never responded to emails and always had his out of office message on. This guy was nice enough to point out to me that "He was probably on vacation". Thanks, but that's not what I'm calling about! He said there was nothing he could do for me and that I had to wait until Monday before he heard back from the manufacturer.

My god, being run around in circles is a pain in the butt. What recourse do I have other than cancelling this order?

 

dell reps are how should i put it....... useless!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fed ex arent any better

 

I figured I'll put my dates here too for those who are curious. It was a long wait and many others got theirs before me. Even those who had newer order dates. Dell is weird. Although, this stuff is made in China. So maybe they had to ship it from China? Who knows.

ahh darn it where are you in canada? looks like im waitin a while damn it the wait is killing me

 

Woohoo 2/3 order here... it says shipped but after all this time tracking number dose not work. Called again like yesterday, its in customs.

I thought the whole boxing/preparing ship stage was the transfer over to US, then its shipped to FedEx.
According to dell person, it should show up in tracking on Tuesday, past my original edd.
This seems more of the I don't know, here's some info.

 

Sounds like all you guys are getting served some textbook bull response. The best advice is to contact your sales rep that sold you the machine, and say you need it for work or w/e, and put some heavy emphasis on the need. While custom configs take longer, your sales rep is the one who can speed up the shipment. That's exactly what I did.

well its almost 5pm fed ex tracking said on truck 7am still waiting this is torture

 

I called once again, informing Dell that FedEx doesn't have my package and that I have been reassured many times by Dell that it shipped. My EDD was yesterday. I found out this time, "lol it's still in our warehouse."

 

yea i just asked a sales rep if he could get it to me faster, said i would have to reorder, eff that..

 

I have no idea how it happened so quickly but it did..... these were my ship times.

I did pay for the overnight shipping, but still my order seems to have gone through pretty freaking fast.... especially considering the original EDD was 3/22/2010

 

Sigh. Just called again. Rep says no parts shortage. EDD of 3/8 remains. He acknowledged that meant it would have to ship today (NBD shipping) and in the same breath said it was still in production. Not sure how that is possible. The reps just read the same information as on the status page - they seem to have absolutely no additional information.

 

Finally Mine went into Boxing, although im not shure it will meet the EDD

Just checked and I've finally entered the boxing stage after 10 days. Here's to hoping it ships on Monday, just got my Kabuto & Orochi today too.

That means your EDD is going to be pushed back unless they work on weekends or something. My m11x had an EDD of 3/4 NBD for 3/5, but...still waiting on it lol. Moved on up to being prepared to ship though.

Well i emailed the manager back and they came back with 1 year extra on my warranty, I accepted these and they are going to try and ship this out asap.

So this make me feel alot better now seeing i am talking to somone that really is trying to fix things

 

Dell is weird when it comes to this.

 

I'm trying to get a free mouse from my customer resolution specialist.

 

Unless it's in the boxing/storage stage, you can always speed it up.

 

I don't see how those that has ordered in the first few days haven't got theirs yet. I'd be demanding some sort of discount or something.

You will only see it when it's near delivery. I got a phone call from Dell for the EDD one day before delivery. I know it sucks lol.

 

Could also to be to hide the fact they are shipping ground instead of NBD. Several people have said that Dell has done just that.

 

god thats lame but w/e i guess. its nice to know where it is before the day it gets delivered haha. So long of a wait

 

Because ultimately we've agreed to the EDD... the only people who really have any bargaining power are those that go beyond EDD. Mine has to ship out sometime next week, as Monday the 15th of the following week is my EDD.

I have overnight shipping, so hopefuly it goes out before friday... I freaking HATE paying extra for overnight shipping only to have a company ship it on friday....

Oh joy, just had my EDD change to 24th March....

Ordered: 10th Feb
EDD: 27th Feb, 3rd March, 12th March, 19th March aaand now 24th March.

Seems like everyone in Japan is getting the same treatment if 2ch ( http://pc11.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/notepc/1266643227/ ) is anything to go by. At least I didn't get a whole new order number this time, maybe that's a good sign. >.<

 

So aggravating. EDD pushed to 3/15/2010.

 

Ordered an Orochi from Amazon (despite insane shipping cost to AUS - cheaper mouse cost meant it cost the same as getting from HK, and I get it quicker!) and according to DHL it'll get here about when my M11X does

I've confirmed that mine is sitting in their warehouse. Doing what? I have no idea. And yes, I want a discount/moneyback/compensation. Dell has been doing an awful job.

I ordered mine on 2/3 original EDD 3/4 now 3/16 and its still in...Build...

I got an email from my rep notifying me that the power cord is on back order...

Can anyone Please send me an order number of a unit that you have recieved allready as my rep doesent believe me that people have gotten theirs well before me...

Someone posted a screenshot of receiving it within a week of ordering late in February. That would be your best bet. I think its somewhere in this thread even or one of the other M11x threads.

Edit: Look at post 3090 for someone that ordered on March 3 and its probably about to be shipped since it says updated.

I ordered mine on Feb.23 with a EDD Mar.26 I emailed my Rep. and ask him if I could get it a little sooner maybe give me overnight shipping, 2 days later I checked my order and now it said my EDD is Mar.9 and I just checked and now it said shipped. WOW!!

 

Neither dell or fedex actually know were my laptop is. Man this has become a headache.

 

Amazingly, my M11X ended up on my doorstep on the original EDD!

I emailed the Dell rep after the delay notification. Not sure if that helped, but may be worth a try. She actually called me that evening to confirm it had arrived!
