I got mine from Razerzone it only too 2 days to get to me free shipping at the l33t pack .. also go the mobile mouse pad which is awesome.. how much did you end up paying in AUS dollars ? all up for mouse and pad 113 AUD so USD it was 99.98 Still waiting for my EDD on my M11X but as mentioned before got a free year out of them

 

im still in build stage... EDD is 3/10/10 so... if they're late what should i ask for compensation? Extended Warranty? more accessories?

I think the black bottom with silver top makes it look pretty cool (from your vid).

 

Ok, so on Dell's page it says that the delivery attempt failed. But on Fedex's site it says, package not due for delivery. The delivery date is supposed to be this Monday. So how is it that Dell knows there was a shipment attempt when Fedex doesn't say it? They didn't leave a note or anything on the door. Friday was when I saw it said on Dell's site that there was failed delivery attempt. So all day today I waited by the window. I actually saw a Fedex truck, but he just zoomed on by, and that was it. But I guess I'll wait til Monday since that is supposed to be the delivery date.

But to people who ordered on the first couple days man, I'd so call them to ask for a discount or say screw it, and you.

 

I got mine for a total of 115 AUD without the mousepad cos i paid amazon extra for faster shipping, so it was like 69USD for mouse and like 35USD for shipping. oh well.

What are these guys playing at. My EDD just slipped to the 23/03 from the 10/03. I want this laptop but i'm not being messed about like this.

My reps gonna get a mouthfull tommorrow.

 

I ordered last Monday (1st March), and got an estimated delivery date of the 7th April (which I was prepared to wait for). It's a UK order by the way. I checked yesterday and the status had changed to "Shipped" and this morning I was able to see the following tracking details:



I'm obviously pleased with such a quick turnaround but it's definitely unfair that people who ordered weeks before me are still yet to receive their M11x. Their system is haywire; it doesn't seem to have any proper structure to it at all.

 

Yea, I'm the same way. Was prepared to wait another month, and ordered 5 Feb. Although they over estimate due to the military transport. I feel bad for the ones who have EDD's that continue to get pushed back.

 

I may be the last 2/3 pre-order still in build. Good to know orders placed a month later ship before mine. This will be my last Dell / AW. CS has been aggressively unhelpful to the point I'm insulted.

 

After getting my M11X on Friday, my wife liked it so much she is dumping her Macbook for one.

So, looks like I'm back to chasing the order status bunny in hopes she gets it on-time for a trip we are going to take in early April . . .

I did manage to get $60 off EPP configuration in silver and free next day shipping, but given they force McAffee subscription with the EPP now it's not much of a discount.

EDD is 30March

 

I ordered through EPP also, called CS and had them remove McAffee subscription . They had to cancel the other and create a new order, but I was able to get $89 off from that.

New updated EDD: 3/10 (can't wait)

i think they had problems with early production units i.e. people who ordered 1st week of feb had nothing but problems then after waiting forever they had hinge probs bsod all kinds of issues my brother ordered 2/3 still waiting now he hopes he has no issues when he finaly gets it i oredered 2/23 got it 3/5 no issues runs & looks flawless im giving it it 2 my bro i have a lappie he doesnt i feel bad 4 him & all still waiting hang in good luck 2 all! peace

 

What has me mad is I went to epp site today and did a config of what system I have coming and the edd is 3/30. I then went to Dells reg site and did the same config and it has a edd of 3/26 and it was only 37.00 more then epp site. I think thats crap. they make you get mcafee at 89.00 and your wait is 4 more days. I will be calling them in the morning and I want a real discount for going through epp since the wait is longer and the discount is only 37.00 I mean whats the point?

Does anyone know how to get a hold of a resolution specialist instead of a Dell sales rep?

 

I ordered through an EPP sales rep and had them take off the mcafee. Saved a few dollars that way. After the 10% and $50 coupon it wasn't bad for su7300, 4gb, 500gb. No where near what the coupon stackers got though. If you've never ordered through EPP you get a $50 off coupon. Actually I just got an email advertising a $75 coupon for systems over $1k.

Btw I ordered a day after you (2/20) and my EDD just updated today to 3/11. Status is "Preparing to ship."

 

@northroad Thanks for letting me know that info. I will be calling them in the morning to get the mcafee discounted because I don't need it and yes I got the 50.00 off as well. It just came to my attention about the mcafee and after doing the numbers it didn't sit well with me. Nothing like women scorned. Lol

Also nothing has changed for me on my EDD.

Got a FedEx tracking #. It says it will hit my house on the 9th. Looks like I got my wish.

annoying though, because I have overnight shipping and my updated EDD is still 3/12 lol

Has ANYONE that ordered with EPP gotten theres in less then 3-4 weeks or are all of the fast-shipped orders non-EPP?

I'm done with Dell after this last shenanigan.

 

My EPP order was delivered 12 business days after placing it. That's in Canada, but the Canada bound orders transit via the USA so I suspect they come from the same channel as the US ones.

Order date was 02/15 and original EDD was 03/19. Received 03/03

 

Ordered through EPP on 2/9/10 and ESD is 3/9/10

EDD was 3/12/10 but they changed it to 3/10/10 because i told them to give me free NBD...

IM STILL IN THE BUILD STAGE!

Yes I ordered through EPP on 2/21 and had it delivered on 3/5

 

Just goes to show that there is no rhyme or reason with how they're pushing orders out. Most all of the EPP orders are going to be the same config.

 

@zlog I agree very annoying mine says its in boxing stage with a EDD of 3/19.
I'm thinking a lot of us will be shipped this week. If not I may just send both back I'm tired of dells crap I was ok with getting it on 3/19 until they started sending orders that were placed after me before mine.

 

As long as they keep to their EDD you still really don't have cause to complain. It sucks that people who ordered later get theirs first but that's life.

 

Whats wrong with complaining, other than being on the other end? Do you like it when 10 people cut in line to get ice cream before you?

Well I was also one that felt that I knew the EDD going in so no real cause to complain so long as they met it. It was frustrating watching others who bought after get theirs, but again - I had agreed to my EDD so that was that. Now that my EDD is pushed - along with the fact that dozens (or hundreds or thousands) of these machines have clearly gone out to those that purchased after me - I am losing my cool.

 

Nothing wrong in complaining, in fact the more you do the better the deal. I am now calling in twice a week. I have the EPP system down to $940 before tax. Upgraded to NBD ship. My goal for this week is another discount and eventually getting a three-year accidental coverage for next to nothing. So, the longer it takes them to ship my laptop the more I plan on saving!

 

Hey Gahoo, Have you tried calling them ? i would ... well i should say i have .. and got a free year warranty give it a shot no harm in trying

 

I called last Wednesday to say "you have 2 days to get it out and it is still in build." Dell said "everything shows you being on time." I called Friday and "it needs to ship today and you show it still being in build." Dell says (in effect) "everything looks fine and the day is not over." I called Saturday (after EDD was pushed back 25%) and left messages for rep - no call back. In fact they have never gotten back to me after saying they would call and email - never got a call or an email. I'll call again tomorrow and see what can be done and/or given as compensation.

 

What i did when i got bad customer service no emails no call etc. i went straight to there manager ... she offered me a USB key and i pretty much laughed at her and now she has done a lot of things (So Far) to help me out.. Like trying to get the order pushed through keeping me updated and the free warranty. She said my rep and another person that was rude have been spoken to and trained again.. which i doubt but still acknowledged there was a problem

 

OK, I am mad as HELL!!! I just called the order status and its telling me that it shipped on march 19th! Holy Crap! Did I timewarp. I do believe that I have 12 more days to go until the 19th. Dell is realy testing my patience

 

Wow maybe dell are not too bad they have invented time machines !!! AWESOME!

If they can do that then i wonder what else the M11X can do that we dont know about :O

 

Update: mine shipped tonight says both will be here 3/9 so I'm thinking alot more will be shipped.
also I was only in boxing 1 day.

Whats interesting though is its only showing the lunar shadow m11x as shipped. I ordered both on same day. That will really make me mad if I don't get both on same day.

 

I ordered mine with EPP on 2/24 with a EDD of 3/29... On Saturday morning I got an update with the following information

Boxed - 3/3
Shipped - 3/6
EDD - 3/10

I already have a Fedex number as well so I am assuming all is good? I will let you know on Wednesday I guess.

 

You likely won't. Especially if they weren't part of the same order, which is didn't sound like they were.

To folks saying that theirs is now marked shipped and others probably will soon... Until a courier reports having the order in transit, the "shipped" status only means they have printed a shipping label for it. Mine has been sitting at dell with a label since 3/1/10, despite Dell lying to me through every medium that it was otherwise.

Everything is random in this screw up. After watching these threads for over a month, there is no correlation between order date and config when it comes to getting your order faster. Some people who ordered before, the same day, or after my order date of 2/3/10 have still not received theirs, and some got theirs fast as lightning.

I just recommend to everyone, be as tactful as you can to hopefully get something out of Dell's terrible service for these machines. With warranties, discounts, and accessories, good luck, and I hope this ends up being worth everyone's time.

@SandersAKG Looks like your right the cosmic black is still in boxing which makes no sense because it was the first one I ordered and the lunar shadow was was second. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!

What is wrong with these people? Where is it acceptable to wait a month for a laptop? I could go out and buy a new car and it wouldn't take a month to prepare.

I drilled some poor CS rep this morning and my account manager and i'm gonna keep at them until I get the machine. Expedited shipping and emails to managers my arse, bloody tossers. If there was any other similar machine availible for the price i'd tell them to stuff it.

Although, the HP Envy is looking good right now... I wonder if the're made in bloody China.

Did anyone get their m11x after receiving their tracking number, but before the parcel carrier updated it's own tracking system? Mines supposed to come tomorrow, but hasn't been updated or anything yet. It could be sitting at the pick up facility, or it could be on its way out.

a manager emailed me back finally to say my shipment was en route to the US from overseas........ this after every rep has told me that the laptop was being built in Austin Texas :/ sigh

 

well im still in transit in the u.s.a ground linehaul today. Looks like maybe tomorrow or wednesday. Geeze i really wish they would up their updateing system. Maybe a at customs or at so and so city depot.
