haha phoned purolator and they could only tell me its in transit in the us. Really is a useless shipping company. its like a guess when things will be here with them.

 

Just ordered my 11x to go with my 17x.I'm hoping to mate them a and get a free 15x. suppsed to be here april 2nd.

Don't buy the laptop if you don't think you have the patience to wait until the EDD.

My rep has been really good at getting back to me and updating me.

He just called me and said that my package is suppose to be picked up today and delivered tomorrow. I should get tracking number today as well.

Day late... More like 2 days lol. time is money so to some a day means alot. But since he updated me hopefully it will be on time.

 

My newest EDD is 7 days late - or 25% late depending on how you look at it. I have spoken to 3 reps - all of whom have indicated that they would get back to me via phone and email... none have.

 

They tell you the EDD before you pay for it. If you don't like the date stated then I guess that HP Envy will work for you

 

I think I'll return mine out of principal for you guys that ordered in the first couple days. It's like camping out in line to be one of the first. But when the line starts, they tell you to wait until everyone else behind you goes first.

Unless I really really really like it then maybe I'll keep it lol. It's supposed to come today. Guess I got 21 days to mess with it.

Request more from them for the delay?(accessories? Warranty?)
What stage are you in?

 

Still build - lol. Their latest claim was that they would deal with "compensation" after delivery - which of course is BS - but didn't have more time to spend on the phone.

I just received a call from a rep responding to an email I sent saying I would prob be returning the m11x's back if I didn't hear from them. This guy tells me how lucky I am to have purchased the m11x at such a cheap price and I should be thanking my lucky stars. He also tells me that due to parts I would not receive my first order until late this week or beginning of next week but the second order is on its way. So I respond to him saying the only difference between the first and second order is color hes says oh that's what it is the black one takes longer. OMG I'm so done with them.

 

I have a tracking #, but the FedEx site doesn't even show that the order has even shipped yet. Is this normal? The FedEx EDD is tomorrow, 3/9/10

 

I hate to be another one of the late orders that is getting theirs fast. Mine is already being shipped. Ordered 3/1. I feel really bad for all of you who I've read about having problems. On the other hand, I really can't wait to get my first Alienware.

 

Of course, though im not sure I will get it then - latest update from rep says its in the factory waiting on a part, he's gonna try to find out which one.

[edit - im fairly certain what's holding it back is the black top-cover, all the ones that have shipped seem to be silver.]

well i got a call from dell stating a 3/10th delivery and i check the site its 6hours away in transit to here meaning it will be here tonite. So delivered tomorrow idn where they got the 10th from. unless they hold it to take a peek

My tracking number still doesn't show updates. This saddens me as I will not receive it by the 3/9 delivery date lmao. The 3/11 one seems more realistic. Sigh...what is up with dell. I've ordered from them before and they were good, but this....

To make matters worse, my ssd and orochi / kabuto got delayed too by ups. how rare is that.

 

In boxing! Website EDD revised to 3/12, but calling the number yields no date. I'll see how things go.

Anyone else stay "In Production" up til it actually shipped? My order status says that it shipped (now on the 10th of March) with an updated EDD of March 12th. Just curious if its going to go straight to shipment, or am I boned and going to get another adjusted EDD?

So on the page for Purchase ID, my orders both say shipped, however clicking the order number to see the specific info on that system shows me it's still in production.

Also, i received an e-mail saying it had shipped, but there are no tracking numbers!

Lastly, my rep e-mailed me to say they were shipping "any time" and hasn't responded to my query as to what "any time" could mean.

I guess I'll finally be calling tonight to see WHEN they are shipping... the only downside to overnight with Dell is you really get no warning... I need to know when they are going to be arriving so I can actually be there to receive them.

Grrrr.

I'm in the same boat as you. Online it says shipped, got an email says shipped, call the order satus hotline says shipped but on the 10th. So darn frustrating!

 

Well last i got told it was the HDD that was the inital reason why my order was cancelled and re-cut ..

I was in the same situation as you guys. It took about 3-4 days for me to get a tracking number. My fedex number shows that I'm supposed to receive it tomorrow. But it says shipment info has been sent to Fedex. So I'm guessing I still won't get this for another 3-4 days. This makes the Next Business Day shipping completely moot and why did they even bother to give it to me. This laptop has missed even my original EDD of 3/8. What the heck.

 

My old order, i ordered 2/17 and its finally getting delivered 3/10, EDD on dell.com is 3/4 freakin a

 

I ordered same day and it says my EDD is 3/10

However, I didnt get NBS so I dont see how they are getting my system to me in 2 days...since it hasnt even shipped yet (no email and no tracking number as of now)

I have a feeling im going to be waiting longer than 3/10

 

Well I finally canceled, could not stand to wait any longer. I was in best buy and saw the Sony Vaio VPCF115FM and the impulse took over. Sorry Dell, but you dropped the gun on this one.

EDD 4/1/10. by then a new generation of devices will be out.

I stand in line with everyone else.

 

lol i think all the orders dated to ship out on 3/10/10 are all from same factory... they're all going to get picked up on the 10th... which is BS! IM SUPPOSE TO HAVE IT BY THE 10th!

 

I can almost with complete unadulturated irrevocable and unmolested certainty tell you that anything that has a ship date now of 3/10/10 is shipping on the same day from the same factory. I couldn't overcome in my mind this leap forward in time, first I received an email stating that it shipped on the 19th of March, then a second that it shipped on the 10th so I kept trying to get a straight answer from CS on the timewarp crap. Finally, reached someone who understood what I was asking, they put me on hold for 15 minutes! then told me that they called the factory that was making my particular Alienware and they told her that all the backordered whatever was complete and shipping this week. So, I guess the good news is finally! Dear god was that ever a long wait!

 

ordered it 15 Feb and stuck on dispatch with local courier since 5th March

Where is my laptop and why the courier is soo slow

At least you actually have updates to your tracking number. Here's the crap I get from Dell:

You can start by giving me a tracking number that ******* works. Send the box out already!

 

this is what customer care rep replied when i asked her to fasten up things

 

everything is going as planned for me. I ordered 2/22 and EDD is 3/16 today my status went to shipped with working tracking number. I feel sorry for all you guys who ordered earlier and getting the system on the same date as me or later. Maybe it's got something to do with i payed with bank wire, and other people have payed with credit card? I've heard dell gives the money back until they actually ship it? While with me they don't have a choice? I'm just brainstorming here

 

I've no problem waiting til the EDD, its when it slips by two weeks without explanation.

 

Yet another wiseass, Ordered 22-Feb, EDD 10-Mar, EDD slips to the 24-Mar without explanation.

Of course I had the patience to wait til the EDD or else I wouldn't have ordered.

My tracking number started working 3-4 days after i got it.

 

yet .. took 3 days 4 me, too. Thats supposed to be the time it takes to ship from mysterious China factory to a place in the civilised world where UPS is present.

 

I'm so happy my order has moved so quickly, a week after ordering it has shipped. Only problem now is the Dell site says Interlink deliveries don't get a tracking number, so I don't know when it might arrive. Need to know the day so someone can be home

 

For those in the UK, how long after ordering did it take for the unit to move from Work In Progress to being built? I ordered Friday so I'm curious.

Are the UK units built in the UK? Wikipedia says they have a manufacturing base in Limerick, NI which serves EMEA? (Europe, Middle East and Asia)

 

I'm from Belgium and today I received a mail saying it was shipped from Raheen Limerick. So I'm thinking yeah...

To all you guys waiting I know 1st hand both sides getting it fast and still waiting all i can say is my own experience i ordered 1 m11x for my brother 2/3 still not here now get ready ordered excact m11x 2/21 got in my hands 3/5 its black so the case color issue is bs I dont know what dells problem is besideds they r useless I never showed boxing just in production then boom right 2 shipped go figure i know it sucks my brothers unit is in limbo all I can say is unit has been running oc @1733 not 1 prob I gave it @ my bro so noe im back 2 waiting calling dell etc hang in guys and get whatever u can for ur wait GOOD LUCK 2 ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Guys mine shipped today! It says the EDD is 3/10 but Fedex tracking number says my EDD is today. Idk what to believe.

My original EDD for my lappy was 3/22 so I am pleased either way to have mine already shipped 10 days prior to my EDD. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow!
