UPDATE my brothers finaly shipped ordered 2/3 est edd 3/18 still waiting!As i posted earlier ordered same m11x 3/19 est edd 3/26 received 3/5 I think imo there is alot of demand for these lil lappies plus there was probs with early units ie those ordered 1st week of feb on trouble shooting thread you see bsods stuck pixels hinge & case issues my brothers m11x ordered 2/19 su 7300 oc 1733 optimised and running and looking perfect everything thrown at it

 

Mine says the same as yours. I don't think we are getting them today .

 

Wiki also says that plant is being shut down, lots of jobs gone with manufacturing moving to poland. I wonder when... found a few articles so wiki is def correct.

From my personal experience as I said my original edd was 3/26 updated 3/6 fed ex edd 3/5 got it 3/5 I have same config as you btw Good luck

 

I am not sure if this helps anyone but...

I ordered on 2/24 (phone in order through EPP) and got an original EDD of 3/29

On 3/2 the status changed to in production

On 3/6 my order showed SHIPPED with an EDD of 3/10

My Fedex number originated on 3/6 but was not active nor showing updates until 3/8

... and finally the Fedex number shows it should be at my door on 3/10 :-D

I ordered out of Tampa, FL and the unit shipped out of Ellenwood, Georgia (which is a Dell Tech Center)

Good luck to everyone waiting on their orders... I am just hoping I get a good unit as opposed to all of the complaints I have heard from others.

Thats what happend 2 me I got mine 3/5 originaly it was edd 3/26 updated 2 3/6

 

mine said EDD of 3/4 on fedex site for a while, just initiated, then the day past and the EDD went away till the other day when it updated to 3/10

Thats weird...mine shipped 3/9/2010 and the EDD is tomorrow the 10th. Hmm, and I had 7 day shipping lol.

 

Yeah Fedex has info for both, and Fedex estimates delivery on 3/11.

 

Yeah Fedex home is basicly "as fast as possible on the ground" so if you live close to where it ships from it'll be next-day.

 

That's great I still have to wait for the cosmic black which is mine. The lunar shadow should be here anytime now. I wonder if he will know I took a peek lol.

 

They did the same thing with mine and didnt get it till 7 days later, so dont hold ur breath, it was a big let down

 

Just wanted to no how long does it stay in production because mine has been in it for the last 2 days?!

LOL, if you think that's slow have a look back in the thread! There are guys with estimated delivery dates 8 weeks from the date of placing their order. UK orders seem to be shipping faster but still, I'd prepare yourself to be waiting at least two weeks.

 

Interesting, M11X was scheduled originally for April 3rd, now its coming tomorrow, only problem is - I have to return it bcos Dell duplicated my order - idiots - hopefully 2nd laptop which was ordered two days later will arrive within the next week

 

hmm does "Preparing to ship" stage include testing?? that's what my rep told me is happening to my laptop...

 

Think today's a big ship day. Mine changed to shipped online and when calling in. No shipping information as of yet.

 

Well it has only been a week since i ordered (well 6days to be exact) so perhaps ill be lucky and it will come early...er

 

Update: my machine, ordered 3/1/2010 with an edd of the 30th is in a shipped state, arriving tomorrow. So that's 20 days earlier! fyi: I ordered from the US site for US delivery.

So very excited...

 

My computer has left the city of industry. Probably getting it tomorrow. If not, I'm preparing to deliver falcon punches.

So, this is the end of the road on order status (for a lot). The great big push is happening this week where Dell/AW will birth thousands of M11X's. See you all in the owner's lounge (FINALLY!).

The idiot who I ordered with over the phone only put it through as a quote, not an order...
Also, my UK order is showing South Africa Dell Bluetooth. Why South Africa? Is this normal. And the Alienware TactX mouse isn't on the order, like it should be with the ESL Pro dealio going on. They're still advertising it, therefore they still have to be selling it as they're saying it.

 

It seems like that everyone who talk about the delay are those who ordered the Cosmic Black color... Maybe the request for black is much higher than expected? Anyway, I put in my order last week, 3th March... Rep confirm payment but still have not got a EDD yet, it is stuck at Order Recieved at the moment... I wonder how long will I have to wait... I hope the EDD won't get push put all the way in April... :-| Crossing my finger and hoping for an early EDD.

 

I've got a tracking number as well now with my M11x in Nashville and an updated EDD of 03/10

 

Just got a question for everyone, I thought the Alienware m11x only has 10/100Mb LAN... But I just notice on my order confirmation it said 10/100/1000Mb LAN??? So weird... Did they change the part or something?

 

@wow = I got told mine was delayed because it was silver/grey so my bet is that the rep is fibbing.

got my tracking on the second, didn't have it show up in till the around 7pm 3/8/2010. My rep called today 3 hours ago saying it was still in customs and would take a few more days, lieing SOB. Really upset, I can handle the truth!

My rep just called me back and tried to feed me the "you're still in the build/testing stage" bs and just yesterday he said it's boxed up and waiting to be picked up and should be yesterday or today. Automated MSG says prep to ship. Such BS these reps are giving me. He had my tracking number since sunday night. And he didn't give it to me. I had to call another rep to give it to me. Such bad customer service I got today.

 

Shipped with NBD. Should arrive tomorrow, so fingers crossed nothing is wrong with the unit.

 

Im all the wy in Afghanistan so it will take a few weeks, but I now have a status as shipped.

My wife got a call today from dell saying to expect them tomorrow, however Fedex tracking numbers that they gave her (same ones i got earlier) are ground shipments scheduled for delivery on Thursday....

Sucks my wife took tomorrow off because of that phone call she got, i had to give her bad news

All good though, I have a 3 day weekend coming up and I'll have it by then either way so I'm being optimistic.

 

Errrr... Dell Rep is so useless... I just check my order status... It was stuck from order recieve for the past 7 days and it is now order cancelled??? I call The Dell Rep... Her response, must be the credit card address does not match with address provided... I was like, that is not possible, I do know where I lived... Dell Rep said she will put the order in again... Immediately after I hung up the phone... I call my bank / credit card... Just to check if there was any payment request coming from Dell... The bank / credit card told me, nope... There have not been any payment, not even payment rejection, the bank said normally if a credit card payment is rejected for any reason, the bank will keep a record of the rejection code / reason, so in my case, Dell simply did not process my credit card for payment at all... So I call the Dell Rep
back, and told the Dell Rep that you guys have never charge my credit card for the computer... Dell Rep then told me, there must be something wrong with our credit card processing system... She will personally keep a track of it this time, if there is any problem, She will call you back... This is what puzzle me, why didn't you keep track of it in the first place? I've got money in my account for you to take, why don't you just take it and process my order... Ahhhhhh... Dell is so incompetent... Now, I don't even have a valid order number, nor do I have any EDD... What should I do??? This is so stupid... Dell please take my money, please...

 

@wowpeter = hi, my name is Dell and I want $1,000,000 first thing's first, you said you checked your order status then said you don't have an order number... Care to clarify? As for charging credit cards, they usually only charge after you receive your machine and the invoice that comes with it. Don't fret too much on it, I was stuck in Order Received for a week.

 

I would file a complaint with Dell's unresolved issues/escalations department.

Easiest way is sending an e-mail to [email protected] or [email protected] (I would just send it to both).

All those e-mails filter through to escalations (they dont actually go to Mr Dell.)

Just ordered my m11x today.
Status for the entire day has been " Order Processing" even though they charged my card already.
