@nuke737... Hahaha... $1 million dollar, that better is a super computer hahaha... Anyway, as far as I understand, What computer company do is that they request a hold / pre-approval on your credit card and then once the computer is shipped, they will process the actual payment transaction... So it might seems like they have not take your money when u order the computer, but those money is already withhold from your credit card (ie: u can not spend those money anymore)... As for my case, I can check my order via the quotation no and customer no, and it keep saying order recieve for the last week and then all of a sudden it went to order cancel... But bank has no record of Dell asking for a hold of the transaction amount... So it is either the order never made it to Dell accounting department or someone mess up along the way... Hahaha... Anyway, I am not too fuss but I just wish company are more organize, especially when someone is willing to give them the money already ;-)

 

My order has gone into the "Work in Progress" stage.
However, I still have no idea what the "South Africa Dell Bluetooth 365 Card" is. I mean, I know it's the Bluetooth card, but why is it South Africa? I'm in the UK!

 

@thewelsh = Don't fret too much about that. Its just probably a typo in the item name. Or just some quessentially Dell thing when it comes to naming parts.

The only annoying thing left for me to sort out now is the bleedin' Alienware TactX mouse they're meant to be including according to the ESL Pro Special Offers here - http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/topics/segtopic.aspx/esl_offers?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs
It's not on my order email, even though I called them up and asked them why it wasn't on my quote email. The Dell rep said he'd call us up the next day after checking whether he could add the mouse to the order with his superior, which was yesterday. He never did call back, but he put through the order.
But the point is, they're still advertising it. They, legally, have to still be including it with the order.

 

Could you compare the product catalogue code for the unit you just ordered to the one in the offer? If its the same then you can yak away at him/her. Did you order by phone or online?

EDIT: Just took a look at the site and all and personal opinion says that the TactX free thing is a typo that they carried over probably while copying and pasting from the Aurora. Cause if it were free it would have showed up as a component/accessory in the parts bar on the right. But instead it shows up as an option when you click on the Accessory tab. Plus I would think it would make more sense to offer the mouse with the m17x or the m15x but not the m11x due to the profit margin thingy that marketers always harp on about.

 

Yes, I noticed it doesn't appear when you add it online.
I ordered by phone.
Another thing though, it's against the law to be advertising it as coming with something then not including it. I could contact Trading Standards.
Also, it states Bioshock 2 is free. Is that "Free Game Download"?
And it has 16x DVD+-RW, which I'm guessing some silly Alienware employee accidentally copied from the M15x or M17x.

I think we're all shipping out on 3/10/10... its like dell scheduled it so that fedex would pick up all our systems at once... im suppose to be recieving it tomorrow... but as the package hasnt even been picked up its impossible...

 

Got mine yesterday it was planned to ship on 19-03-2010. So it was about 9-10 days early Not a problem I would say

Received mine in around 12 working days....not too bad considering the original ETA was 13th March (ordered 18th Feb).

 

Same exact thing for mine today too! Currently in Jamaica NY. Hoping mine gets here in time for me to set it up and take it classes with me today.

FedEX just called and I should have it this afternoone. I ordered on 2/12, ETA was March 18th and its coming a week early. Works for me . Oh also I'm in the US FYI.

Buhh. "Shipped" on an Irish order just means it is somewhere between Dell and Interlink (DPD), and could be doing that for a week, or more. No tracking number either so I have no idea what day it might show up. I'm hoping before the weekend, but I'm not optimistic.

On another note, the manager of my rep called me this morning to let me know I had a choice of a freebie, such as a carrying case or a discount. Since the 11x carrying case in on back-order, he said he'd issue a discount amounting to $75.

It should arrive in my inbox within the next few days. =]

Anyone had a problem with the tracking link? my UK order says shipped but when I click the link I get a message saying the customer number and the order number do not match.

I ordered on 2/12, supposedly getting my shipment tomorrow according to Fedex, but they still haven't picked the package up from Hell yet.

 

Ordered 5th March (last friday). EDD of 24th, it'll probably move forward based on what I've heard from other UK people.

 

Dang...seems like orders for UK are being shipped faster than here in the US...

Well my order managed to make it today, unfortunately it got there about 10 minutes after I had to leave so I have to wait till tonight to get to use it

 

I ordered 3/4 and emailed tech support about the long wait and got her to expedite the shipping, its now in the boxing stage

Not always though. I ordered mine the day before you and it will be here tomorrow for sure. It's already been picked up by FedEx and shows delivery by 3pm.

So here's some further entertainment in my rapidly growing tale of headaches:

Ordered 10th Feb... money was taken out of my account on 17th Feb. Fine. That money is still gone.

I happened to check my statement, and found out that they took out more money on the 9th March, more money than my original order. This was refunded the same day. That would be fine, except for the fact I have now lost around £68 thanks to the exchange rate when it was withdrawn vs when it was put back. ...so I lost £68, over a bogus charge.

Not only that but it also worries me now that this is their 'test' billing and that they will later charge me again when they ship the machine. While, in fact, they have had the original money for the order for what is rapidly approaching a month. I'm now on my third order number as well, so I can tell right now that this is going to be really 'fun' to try and resolve.

Unfortunately I've just found this out at 4:15am so there's not a lot I can do until their phone lines open up later. Thanks Dell, it continues to be such a pleasure to buy from you....

 

Can those who have ordered units on or after the 26th of Feb and have their units in boxing or further on PM me their order numbers? Thanks.

Almost. lol. One of the guys 10 or 15 pages back ordered on the third and had the tenth as his shipping date. oh well who's counting? were getting our m11x's! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOT. I'll get mine right before I leave for Spring Break.

 

That's right! as long as we all get it! I do feel bad for those who basically "pre-ordered" and are still waiting for their system...that's messed up!
