My thoughts exactly. This is easily the best tech purchase I've ever made.

 

Indeed, I am very happy with my purchase!
Colour coordinated my laptop with my pink earphones, played some Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2
Feels quite odd to be able to play new games on such a small laptop. Very spiffy.

Nice unboxing. I have a question about the sleeve the laptop comes in - is it usable as a housing for the device, offering it scratch-protection, or is it just a "tear if touched" initial casing?

 

The former. but the m11x is kinda loosely packed around it so if you're taking it out from a bag it offers no grip on the m11x, so you have to scoop the laptop out

 

Mine's just switched to "In Production"
This order officially went through on Friday, so that's a 3 day turnaround!

I kept checking the Dell Order Status too to begin with, but it's proved it works now, so I won't need to!

Mine switched last night from "in production" to "shipped"... on Wednesday I will leave the country (UK) for a month, so if the little baby doesn`t show up by Wednesday morning i`m officially screwed...

Good one! you can use it to protect the M11x which is what I've been doing since my APE bag is pretty tight and I don't want to take any risks (when unzipping the laptop compartment) of having the corners scratched! Added two pics showing me multitasking on the little monster! While installing Risen, playing winamp, being on Xfire , Steam , Chrome and IE....lol

 

How long was yours "In Production" for?

 

Finally ordered mine yesterday!

Currently it's in production. EDD is 4/5 . But I have NBD shipping so hopefully it won't be quite that long.
What is the fastest someone has received their order?

 

To my surprise, it was "In Production" for only 4 days. "Work in Progress" took longer, 5 days.
Now I`ll just wait and see how long the "Shipped" status will stay on before changing to "Delivered"...

My 'Work in Progress' was 2 days, but then there was a mix up with the order and it was cancelled after 3 days of being 'Work in Progress' then re-ordered.
So I've been 'Work in Progress' for a total of 5 days, but officially, 2 on this order.
Here's hoping my 'In Production' lasts at most 4 days!

They'd not included the promised mouse with the ESL Pro deal, and for some reason, the Bluetooth was 'South Africa Dell Bluetooth Card'
Another -up my rep made was not ordering it on the day I called. He only sent me a quote. I eventually got him to make the order a couple of days later when I called up to say "Eh?"

 

i love dell, changed status on my order page to unsuccessful delivery attempt on a Sunday hahaha, Fedex says on schedule so all good

 

What you say makes me wonder - on my spec sheet, the "South Africa Dell Bluetooth" also appears. What`s with the South Africa thing?

 

I've no idea, sadly.
A few people have said to me it's probably just a weird naming thing of Dell's.
Mine now reads 'Europe Dell Bluetooth Card' though.

 

As long as the South Africans don`t have other bluetooth standards, I don`t mind having a South African bluetooth card. Let`s hope this is not the beginning of my problems with Dell though.

I don't think they do. Maybe it's a backup card they use when they're out of the Europe card?
EDIT: It's more than likely exactly the same card. It has the same model number: 365.

I like the graphics Dell uses for the Australian website

For the UK site they have no graphics, only
"Work in Progress" -> "In Production" -> "Shipped" -> "Delivered"

 

Mine is shipping - tracking number and all! Ordered the new system on 3/5 and it will deliver 3/16 possibly 3/15. I think I made a good decision to cancel my 2/5 order which was pushed back several times.

 

OK I just got a call from the Delivery company

And umm ... they called to arrange a delivery time.. Today is Monday... and they called to tell me Friday I was excited thinking it would be today They apparently have not received from dell yet it should be with them on Thursday

 

i'm getting mine in the morning..can't sleep..lol

 

I'm ordering mine Fri or Sat and I know that the wait will still be long even after I order it with NBD shipping.

 

When did you get the call from the delivery company?

 

don't pay for NBD shipping. you can get it free when they miss EDD

 

@Gahoo Off topic did you get the ffxiv beta ? well i think its alpha ... just curious to see if you did so i can see some screenshots on the M11x .

 

I too got call from delivery company, told them "its a business, delivery anytime in business hours" and they said wed-fri

Ugh, mine was supposed to have been shipped on Thursday with Walsh Western... but it's still saying DEPARTED MANU. FACILITY... hasn't changed at all.

Any ideas?

 

Entered the second day of 'In Production'
Can't wait to get out of that and getting it shipped!

 

Been 2 weeks at "In Production" now. Not too impressed. Very impatient.

 

I just made an order 5 minutes ago.

m11x, su4100, 4gb DDR3, 500GB, ESD - April 6th.

..and now I wait.

 

Mine changed to Shipped so just a few days left and Ill have it!

 

they called me last week, as early as wednesday IIRC, and set the date and time. Mon 15th (8-1pm)...still waiting..shouldn't b more than an hour or two..i'm starting to get the twitch

 

Hmm may be because of the weekend..mine went from 'departed Manu. facility' and reached the hub in 1 day.
