My order is arriving on wednesday morning so all i can say is GOOD LUCK everyone.

A couple of pieces of information I have gathered that you may or may not find interesting (for UK/ European orders) and may not be totally true:

-They are made in China and are then flown to the Netherlands - from there to your respective country. This took mine just a day after shipping (including flight)

-CALL LOCK OUT means there about to call you to arrange a delivery.

-Sales Advisors on the dell chat can prioritise your order.

-UK orders take roughly 9 days

-Delivery is a max of 4 days..no longer

Yeah, mine's arriving on Wednesday morning too (UK based). I saw the "Call lock out" message on the tracking page, in red text, so I thought there was a problem and emailed Dell. Turns out it was as av1945 says, they were getting ready to call me. Not bad at all seeing as I only ordered on the 5th!

 

I ordered the 3rd of this month, got an EDD of 8th of April. It's really upsetting seeing people that ordered at the same time already receiving theres.

A Dell rep is in for a call tomorrow

EDIT: Decided speaking to someone on the dell chat instead of having to deal with someone that tells me im going too fast, and that i need to speak slower was a better idea. they are quite helpful. He suggested the Tactx mouse was delaying the order.. hmm.

 

Don't forget that for UK orders, Walsh Western pass it on to UKMail for the actual delivery. You can get more detailed information from UKMail's website by entering in 399990 followed by your 8-digit order number here.

This information is only available once UKMail actually have the package, they'll also be the company you'll have to contact if a failed delivery occurs.

Sigh, the wait is killing me. Mine is still "In Production" since March 8. I know it hasn't been that long but I want it nowwww.

 

Ordered 11pm on 3/3 arriving tomorrow including tactx mouse (uk) can't wait seriously thinking of thowing a sickie to play with it

My edd was 09/04 and based just outside London. Seems like it's just a lottery as to when it ships. I placed an order earlier on the 3rd which I later cancelled as I found the discount link on this site, that order had an edd of 18/03. I think dell just make it up as they go along. Alienware when they were built in Ireland were a million times better to deal with.

 

My EDD was 14/04/2010 and shipped today!

 

My outlook isn't too bad. Ordered yesterday 3-14, and EDD is 4-2. Definitely bearable compared to what I see others are getting, but I'd like it before spring break

 

I called and spoke with a dell rep today

at 1-800-456-3355 ex: 7268938 US customers

about the long order times and the rep I spoke with said that they are waiting on the Black Base of the system.

They were unable to say when the base would be in to finish the build but at least I know what the hold up is

Question: I can't remember if I changed something in my actual Dell account(I used all the same coupons), but a week ago NBD shipping was like 70$. Yesterday when I ordered it was $16. Would it have to do with the fact it was one of the "10 Days of Deals", or I just got lucky?

 

Are you sure you're not thinking about the shipping for a m17x? I've been checking the price for the last 2+ weeks and NBD for the m11x has been $16.

 

now 3/29, I've never seen this before but it is pretty funny, I think it's changed 5 times today.

 

I ordered the silver one as well (on 8th Mar). But they seem to be taking their time with it...

Hopefully it's not SU4100 CPU that is "delaying" it.

 

I ordered 8th March as well, and with the SU4100, and mine just went into boxing stage today, although thats the most ambiguous stage).

 

Ordered mine on the 11th and can't wait soon enough to have it in my hands. I'm finding myself continously checking online even thou I'm quiet aware that it's not ever going to complete as fast as I wished it would.

My EDD was 31st March, due to multiple setbacks.
I was using Change Detector. It told me the first time it changed.
However, the second time, it didn't.
I checked this morning, just in case the robot website wasn't working and...

Its ARRIVED. Shame I'm at work though.

I phoned my wife to see if had turned up, she said the courrier company had left a note to say they had forgotten to load it on the van. I was just about to call the delivery company and go mental, when she told me she was joking (think I'll take the hard disk out of her macbook and see how funny she finds that)

Shipped and on the delivery truck! This has been a long wait from my initial order on 2/5 which I canceled on 3/5 when it was pushed out to the 3/16 then 4/2. New order was on 3/5 with delivery on 3/16 - much better.

 

This AM, jumped to 3/18. 30 minutes ago, jumped to 3/23.

Has anyone ever seen one jump around this much in such a short time?

 

now March 19th... I swear it changes EVERY TIME I CALL.

Hey, I ordered o 2/2 as well. It's just I got that one already, but it's being replaced, so I'm still without 'my' pc. I just have this gapscreened loaner.

I'm pretty much under the impression that my laptop is residing in that place Duke Nukem Forever was, and is going to end up meeting a similar fate - Dell will shut down as a business before the thing ships. Yeesh.

 

Mine has been DEPARTED MANU.FACILITY all day according to the Walsh Western Track & Trace. It was PENDING for 8 hours before. I'm guessing it'll reach wherever overnight. Hope I'll get it by Friday!

 

Well its here and I'm typing this on it, unfortunately lots of problems.

1. 2 dead pixels right in the centre nof the screen
2. Fan sounds like an electric toothbrush on full speed
3. Front right grill light much dimmer than front left.

I could have lived with 1 & 3, but the fan noise is a huge issue.

Customer service will be getting a call for a replacement 1st thing in the morning.

 

I got mine in 19 days, not bad....

 

What was your shipping option?

 

I now have mine! Overall great build quality - small amount of hinge noise on the right side but so far it is wonderful.

Good luck to all those still waiting. At least my tactic of cancelling my 2/5 order and reordering on 3/5 worked to my advantage.

 

Mine was in status "shipped" this morning and later today my order dissapered from the website. Still cant see it on UPS so I called Dell and they say it have been shipped and that it is a problem with the website. Also, the money is still in my bank so I am a bit worried (they say that it is not going to be debited until I get it).

Anyone have had the same experience?

 

I'm having a similar situation.
When I put in my order number and customer number, it simply says "The information you submitted does not match, please try again"
However, due to me having an older version of the website, I accessed and saved the Walsh Western International tracking thing. Mine has literally JUST gone into MERGE ITEMS PICKED.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and it did that in Waalwijk, which is in the Netherlands. It will probably be in Britain by tomorrow morning. If not, tomorrow daytime.

 

Thanks for your reply, thats exactly what happens to me but since monday there is no changes in UPS website so I really dont know where my laptop is.
