Ordered March 8th, now out for delivery.

Just minutes after I made that post, a UKMail van pulled up!
I have it. Spent time setting it up. It's phenomenal.

Hmmm... So I originally ordered on 3/6, but then I canceled and reordered on 3/13. If I go to 'My Account' it shows my order as in 'Delivery Preparation' and it has been for the last two days. If I click on the Purchase ID it says its status is 'Shipped.' If I click on the Order Number it says its still 'In Production' and it doesn't list a tracking number (only saying 'not shipped'). It did change the EDD from 4/2 to 3/23 the other day. What's the truth here?

I'm in the US btw...

Talk about massively late, but at least the friggin' thing is coming. Amazingly, I'll look forward to coming into work on a Monday. ;-) (Since it is being delivered there.)

Every time my EDD gets close it is pushed back further.
I hate dell
Every time I call, get some person in India, saying they can't do anything but cancel the order, they won't even give me next day shipping.
Anybody have any good ideas how I can turn the screws on dell ?

 

Mine too, same EDD. I ordered on February 3rd. Mine's being shipped to my home so I'll be working from home that day.

With all the calls and complaining I did, I only got Next Business Day delivery out of it. Of course as one last "screw you" from Dell, they ship it with NBD on Friday, making wait until Monday. Probably not planned that way, but it sure seems like it. Oh well, hopefully there's a post ordering review process.

Did you use EPP with coupons Arrakiv?

 

Oh LOL... but I guess the odds of getting it shipped on Friday are 20% anyway .

Btw, just remembered something that my friend told me. I never noticed before that how there is actually an arrow in the FedEx logo between E and x

 

Fancy that so there is an arrow wonder if they purposely did that.

I'm expecting arrival on the 26th I can only pray it arrives should be comming on the same week my bag will arrive.

 

So I filtered through my emails and as best I can determine:

I had to put in a change of address request as my rep got it wrong first time around.

Not only did they take forever to actually change the address, they activated an order that had only been quoted for, not actually placed!

And just to add insult to injury it shipped a day earlier. So I should get M11X on monday.

To UK buyers, how long did yours stay on stage 4 (in production, the one before shipping)? I thought I'd be stuck on "work in progress" for ages!

I was quite surprised mine went to that already, guess it'll be here a little sooner than I expected.

Was supposed to be delivered yesterday but Dell didn't add my apartment number to the address label and FedEx won't hand it over, now I have to wait until sometime next week....

 

ok, well I got the e-mail that it shipped this morning... Supposed to come on Tuesday... ordered 3/13. I'm pretty darn happy with a 10-day turnaround.

 

I hope you are right, I must tell you that mine was shipped a week ago and I havent recieved it yet. They say I will recieve it on tuesday...

quite a while for me, but mine seemed longer than others. for me it was maybe a week? a bit longer probably. i ordered on the 3rd of this month and its in shipping.

 

ordered at 3/15...3/20 states as preparing to ship...too good to be true~Hope the status is right~~~

I guess my calling every other day helped.
The other day, parts were back ordered, next day, pasts were all in and m11x is being built and boxed, and then yesterday, 03/20/10, received email it shipped!

but tracking # does not exist in FedEx website yet.

From reading all posts and forums, Dells build time and all is correct, but looks like they give a big window for them for any delays/setbacks.
Hope to receive it Monday, since ordered NBD shipping!

 

Hah... mine is already in NY state, at "dest sort facility" pretty close to where I live. So hopefully it comes on Monday!

 

I really dont believe that my order get shipped that fast tho....I am usually not that lucky. I praying that it is true. Let God be with me lol.

 

Forget my last post, I got FedEx to drop it off at the leasing office.

Been playing around with it all day.
My only complaint is how quickly the keyboard keys get worn, and my fingers are spotless! My 2 year old laptop's keys look new compared it after just a couple hours use.
It already looks old.

 

Just got a call yesterday morning that my computer will be delivery on Monday morning... wohooo... 16 days earlier than the EDD (EDD 8th April, on the order confirmation)... Can't wait to get my hands on the machine!!!

 

Mine was delivered last friday
Straight on the original EDD and a full 25 days before the new EDD I was given!

 

I have an odd question about ordering. I noticed that there are options for the AlienwareFX colour, etc. What exactly is this?
I was under the impression that I can modify the keyboard and grill colours using a utility. Is this for something else?

I ask simply because I don't want to pick a colour I can not change later. Thanks.

 

Hello, it can be changed after with the alien FX software included. They only ask because they will deliver with your favorite color already configured and all ready to play with it.
Mine is supposed to be delivered this friday, can't wait......

LOL. My ordered M11x was shipped on the 23rd (yes she said it like it already happened) and EDD is the 24th with no NDS. I will wait in wonderment for this to happen! or already has happened.. whatever.

 

bahaha. wow. Dell seems to have this whole process out of whack. I ended up calling the financial number that someone posted in the forums, and it gave me an estimated ship date of March 22nd. But the website says nothing and FedEx has no updates on the shipment. To top it all off its coming ground... , a 1,300 laptop and they dont even send it with express delivery? argh

I too will wait and wonder if March 22nd is correct or if the systems are just f'd

That happened to me too, that extended my EDD an etire week.

 

I had to contact CC company and re order it. Luckily it didn't extend my EDD a week. I'm glad I checked my email.

 

Ordered on the 17/3/10.. shipped 22/3/10 , my girlfriend ordered the 13z on the 15th and it's still in the production stage lol

 

Well that was fast.

Under EPP, the system subtotal is $1069.00 without Bluetooth and WWAN.
How did you get Bluetooth and GOBI WWAN for just $26 more?

Same as you with the shipping. I only got NBD out of them too, despite the complaining. And yes, I ordered EPP and did all of that. I've been wondering if fiddling with the Bluetooth choices screwed it up though, as they apparently kept appearing and disappearing during the day. The non-EPP system didn't have the option and the EPP one did... Did you fiddle with that at all?

 

I just received mine... holy poop.... wow just wow.... this laptop is just incredible. Wow... what an upgrade from m1330...

I ordered with Bluetooth also but I'm not sure what constitutes fiddling. I just ordered my stuff and have been waiting ever since. I did change anything along the way if that's what you meant.

Looks like I'm the big loser! Mine isn't here yet but it is out for delivery.

 

Argh, I got the good ol "We've located your package at Customs. It is currently awaiting clearance"...

why doesnt Dell have some kind of pre-clearance?
