    mandrake. do an x extreme run on vantage. my record was 59?? on the gpu. but i was overclocked. i see what i get stocked.

    There would have to be justification to do so. EG more than a couple of hundred points in Vantage, etc. If so I may. If not I will just wait till the next gen comes in a couple months. You're the OC man so I'll be watching... :)

    Ok, they're replacing my system. Something tells me this has something to do with the ATi cards. I guess I need to do the system comparison with don's screen shots. Even better is someone with the ATi cards can verify this.

    I assume you tried flashing an older bios ?.. Maybe this is part of the issues they were having with the ATI cards in those bios updates ?..

    I asked to talk to one of the engineers because I think this is a bug but they said no. I'm guessing they think people won't catch it or won't care. I feel like they offered me a replacement to shut me up and did not care about trying to duplicate the issue. When working in the enterprise environment that is usually one of the first troubleshooting steps they do if it's a problem that's not already documented.

    It's about time, we will finally get some real bench from you Mandrake on the ATI cards.

    Hopefully you can have a better score than with the cheaper GTX280M cards.

    Im now waiting on my new system, of the same setup.

    On a side note: I never noticed the memory bug, but ill keep a look out on it when I recieve my unit.

    The Core i7 will heavily influence the score. You'd need to see some Vantage GPU scores to get a better gauge on GPU performance.

    that's the same score i got with my 280m's but with my dual core.

    we should compare.
    cpu overclock. i can run stock cpu if you want and just compare the gpu scores.

    after running over a 1000 vantage test...gonna have to say...cpu over clocking does in fact increase your gpu score as well....last year i thought it didn't..but after running many test on quite a few different machines....it influences it quite a bit.
