    yes it does . i'm stuck at 11,500 on the gpu test on vantage after 675/1675/1060 and no matter how high i raise the clocks after, it doesn't move. to break the 12,k

    if you do the math it's about less then 5% which doesn't seem like alot which it isn't. but with benchmarking, everything counts.

    mandrake
    what's the highest you can bring your cpu to. that's was alot of tweaking with it. i'll do 2.93 also.

    nah...it's pretty great in vantage as well..at least form the last 1000 or so runs i made using it....

    fsb/memory/luck/superfetch/and gtx's only show over clocking in test 5 and 6 of 3dmark06(really only 5 technically speaking)

    also..i have time now dadah

    So far I was at 3.1Ghz but I think heat is going to be more of an issue. I'm guessing at this point that the ATi cards are running hotter. I can tell by just feeling the system.

    @john
    nice. I have time to. :)

    i'm sorry i have to disagree with your statement...
    yes the gtx only shows test 5 and 6 but that's with sli. with a single card, it shows a big difference. with my 9800m gtx. it was 2000 points. with my 280m single, it was 1000points.
    @mandrake.

    can you moniter your temps?

    I didn't measure the GPUs yet but the CPU hit 68C.

    Edit: Call me crazy but I think Vista benches better.

    Very happy with almost 16k 3dmark06 score with a T9600.. Xfire cards were the way to go (choice was between them and the 260's, go go dell europe)

    I'm going to overclock the CPU a bit more to break 16k lol

    Why is your default Clock and memory clock not matching your GPU and top memory clock? Shouldn't they be the same?

    Are you referring to the different versions of Win 7 or 64bit vs 32bit? Vista also seems to tolerate a higher CPU OC better.

    good old supply and demand haha, look at how the price on intel drives has spiked up compared to when they were new

    and all the 5870's went up too

    That, or everyone is just slowly raising prices to make the black friday deals seem better when they are really a jump down to NORMAL prices lol

    I have another one. Not doing Vantage because I'm using 3DMark to test my CPU OC. My runs are between 3.1Ghz and 3.2Ghz.

    Of course...should have been doable on a W90 as well with the proper overclocks (which that x38 does beautifully)

    Lol - I don't see something like an OC holding you back. With a gimpy QX9300 that would only go to 3018 MHz on my whitebook I still got P8497 in Vantage and 163xx in 06 on a pair of 3870s

    2.0 works out kind of funny...it's allot harder to get up than the 3.0 score, but 3.0 can be influenced by a few other things as well.

    So is this issue similar to what was happening on the 9262 when running a quad and SLI ? i thought i remember something where your numbers would fall for some reason or another compared to if you had disabled 2 cores... Its all a bit fuzzy now its been so long...
