Seeing another CPU getting up near 3.3 is making me sad now...I was happy with 3180, now it feels slow haha

Tomorrow I am REALLY going to call Dell and get a new motherboard sent out to me. (haven't been able to do this cuz of dam school work)

Is it just me or are the Futuremark servers all very shoddy lately? I am going to have to take screenshots of all my scores before it just dies :(

Ahh yes and where ATI cards truly shine and barely flinch :) nice......

Maybe some 280m or 260 owners can do some 1920x1200 runs to compare...

Almost 11K GPU with out over-clocking the 4870s. This could get interesting.

They are definitely proving to be one of the more powerful mobile cards out there. One of these days I'll actually test gaming. Maybe I'll try out DMC4 again.

Great score Indeed. I could imagine what an OC 4870's will do(Fry the m17x). Now if Dell only hurry up sending my m17x replacement so I can start benching again.

On a side note: HP is getting another chance to make it right. They better not send me an QX9300 ES this time.

I actually bought another QX9300 from HP. When my replacement comes I plan on doing a comparison to possibly prove that the OC capabilities are more dependent on the person doing it versus the chip themselves. ;)

You are correct Mandrake. 3.111x Ghz was the highest I could get it at, on my last chip.

It should hit around 11k GPU without an OC when using Catalyst 9.10. Some W90 guys were reporting that.

I don't think so but I'm not sure. Do I have to worry about Crossfire profiles like I did with SLI profiles?

It looks like a single card run from the numbers ?

And no you should not have to mess with Crossfire profiles as the ATI cards just work if the profile is written into the driver which in this case it would be because DMC4 is such an old game...

What all could there be to over clocking the CPU? It is not exactly as complicated as it is on a desktop. You have 3 settings....mem, fsb, multi

If you exhaust all the combinations of these, what would make one person more capable of an overclocker over another?

I ask because I would of course love to get over 3.2 with my machine haha

I asked this same question as we are not talking rocket science here lol...

I tried every combo i could think of with 0 luck on my M17x... Mandrake clearly has a couple aces up his sleeve and just does not want to share with the rest of us ;)...

Just need to figure out what's stopping you from going higher. When I got this system I was having an issue getting it to boot at 3.06. Now I can boot at 3.25 every single time.

Not in November in the Chicago area. Just running my Cryo right now.

I still need to figure out what was wrong with my first DMC4 run. I'm going to try it with Catalyst 9.10.

Ah, good to see Mandrake back benching. I finally got a break in school (midterms are OVER) and got Dell to ship me my Win 7 upgrade disc all the way over here in Germany, so now that that is all re-installed and everything is back up I'm going to have to start pushing Vader again....was getting close to 12k right before school decided to me. Will have to dig up those screenies....

Just out of curiosity, what is the situation with OC'ing the ATI cards?

I'll eventually get around to it. I'd be more in a hurry if I was trying to catch someone's score. ;)

Can someone give me a ball-park figure as to what a m17x+q9000+Ati Crossfire+4gb 1333mhz ram (with everything stock) should be hitting?
In 3d mark 06 + any other benchmarks you wish to add?
