if that is your score. Then that means my score was overclocked in my post the page before.

    could be...

mine is just gpu over clocking, since the clevo didn't have cpu over clocking...if it did....the 9262 could still be in the rankings...lol..(wishful thinking)

yes. It's because clevo locked it down to a 1333mhz fsb and no multiplier overclocking.

hopefully the newer models will be better.

I know my t9300 can be overclocked higher but because of voltage it can't. At 1066fsb which is 3.33ghz just bluescreens at boot and nst.

mandrake, I know you said yours was doing the same with your quad. What did you do in order to make it pass boot and stable to do runs.

OK I just tried it. If anything things stutter less and I don't see any artifact-ing. Given the time to test I should be able to break 12K GPU with these cards.

I did 650|1000. I probably shouldn't go past 900 on the memory early on. Oh well.

The funniest thing is everything ran smoother at the higher clocks. With the nVidia cards, the higher the clocks the more stuttering I saw.

My original goal was 750|900. I'll definitely keep testing.

GPUs aren't getting to hot either. I'm getting into the 60s.

Mandrake, what are the steps to OC'n the GPu via Bios? I had followed barongalf from what he said in previous pages in this thread, but didn't comprehend. I need step by step.

    What are the steps?(Taking Notes)

    Edited: Very impressive score !!

    Holy Eggrolls Batman !!!

Amazing stuff Drake keep it up..

Makes me want to order one right now lol..

Looks like that overclocking really does fix the stuttering issue since your SM3.0 scores are that high without the dips like before compared to the dualcore runners..

I know I can push these further. Might be time to stop and wait for some competition. Don't want to waste all my bullets right now. I do want 18K in 06 before I stop.

It is abit frustrating the first time you go inside the machine but the best thing to do is take your time and even take a break if you find your self getting flustered ...

The money you save buying the part aftermarket is worth the hassle of having to do it yourself ...

Really? I was hitting the high 80s with the W90 when I was maxxing the cards at 1.2v and low 80s at 1.1v. I guess it's a testament to the M17x's cooling. You'll probably have better luck than I did getting the cards to run at 700+ mhz without the driver failing.

Time to wrestle with Dell to try to get a pair of cards (and ideally a swap) lol

I miss the ease of overclocking the ATI cards and the better driver support (never thought I would say that for ATI over nvidia)

Great work!! So maybe in a day or two will you be able to give us your complete take of the advantages of the 4870 over 280M in some sort of summary of highlights? I know many of us would appreciate it!

Yeah from the looks of it lots of room to grow especially based on those temps , crazy low temps at that :)..

Nice to see the 280s crown taken and stomped into the ground :D...

ATI is where its at for mobility and i have been preaching this for awhile but its nice its all been laid out to easily understand for everyone ..
