Yeah I've seen that before. Weird that he wasn't talking about it. Probably combined a couple cpu-z screen shots with a desktop 3DMark06 score. If he doesn't want to give more info we can assume the worst. ;)

highly unlikely, since he is a world record holder / over clocker for asus. but also "heavily connected to asus" so they probably opened his bios for him.

believe it was true but the cpu is what made the score over 20,000. 5900 on the cpu isn't easy. not even the gpu score are high is you look at it. they seem stock to 600/900 to me.

I also noted the sm2/3 scores were not phenomenal, but that CPU score is pretty sick - as others have noted. I agree, he needs to pony up some better shots of it all

them gpu scores are high...who around here has one matching?...lol

now he also could have used that - lod bias thing to also further that score...(speculations of course)
like over at killernotebooks when they jumped out with some astronomical scores from nowhere...lmao! and none of them posted on orb...

rolex if you can't do it, lets trade your cards for mines. :)

i'll check my whitebook, m17x and np9262 scores and see if the gpu are high. drake, john, can you do the same. i will pull up the w90 score as well. lets see if it was all just cpu that broke 20,000

we tried everything in the book to get him to tell us what he did... never did... so we just let that die...at the time...he was at 20k and the rest of us we're just coming up on on 17k.

what ever it was....it sold that many more w90's...that you can be fore sure.

you mean with my whitebook. that screenshot is old. that's complete stuttering. that cpu score at 3.2ghz is sooooo bad. and the stuttering affected the gpu scores as well. i have a screen shot of my at 3.2ghz and hitting 13,500 because of stuttering. :(

got it fixed but sold it after.

    Hi everyone!

I have read a lot here about your benchmark and is amazing what you all score! :)

I have just one question. Where can I found a benchmark of 2 similar configuration of the alienware one with gtx280m SLI and one with 4870x2 crossfire??

    Thank you a lot

I just want to understand which configuration is the best choise for games.

If you have a vantage or some games comparision will be great!
I think, from what I read, that ati is the best choise but I am not sure and I need some test to prove that :)

The ATI's are proving to be more powerful in the synthetic benchmarks. With the right drivers people are getting 11K GPU score out of the box. With the nVidia systems it's closer to 10.3K. OC'ed I hit 13K with my ATIs and Don hit 12.1K with his nVidia's.

As far as gaming bechmarks, nVidia edges out the ATI in Crysis and blows away the ATI in Devil May Cry 4. Resident Evil 5 and Street Fighter 4 are both better with ATI.

    Hope that helps.

Too many variables involved to go by what they post. I scored 5K higher in 3DMark05 than they show.

edit: I have benchmarks organized in the thread in my sig.

Thank you for your reply. you confirmed me what I was thinking about the 2 configurations. Just some games are designed for ati and some for nvidia and ati's configuration is scoring more in futuremark benchs.

Thank you I will post my bench and I will try to post my OC's result too very soon.
