    here is 06
    [IMG]

then i upped the ram from 800mhz to 1333mhz. notice the bandwidth jump
    [IMG]

    now look at the score
    [IMG]

now i up'd the cpu but the score didn't change.
but i still didn't beat my hp's score.

here is my 9400 with the same results.

but my hp is overclocked very heavy. my 9400 is stock.

i cant find anything what so ever. but i can tell you stock vs overclock is very different. 500/400 to 650/510 is a big jump. i don't remember about the shader though

I bet a discrete 9400 would beat the 9400m igp though, being dedicated has a lot of benefits.

How about 3dmark06, my T9900 & 4870s vs your QX9300 and 280s? Since 06 prefers Quad and ATIs I thought this may even the playing field. For bragging rights of course. ;)

ok. Also. I'm up for single runs as well. But we have to take it one step at a time. I'm at the hospital right now. My mom is the place where they do the stuff with the things and what not. I will start as soon as I am home.

This looks like the problem I'm having with the 4850s. I was still able to go over 17K with the 280s so it's at least possible.

How did you do that Mandrake?! I want to get to your 06 scores! Highest I managed is in my sig :( Need to try this program that makes the gpu tests dual core and the cpu tests quad, but aside from that I am out of ideas (although that alone may do it?)

Jane must have been moving very slow. Your system has the same disease as scooks system. I think you might have a bunk CPU.

you are stuttering that bad don?! At stock?

    Yikes....why can't these machines just work :(

And Mandrake, pretty sure that is quite doable, given your little driver trick I now know :)

I found a nasty problem with that trick at least on the M17. I haven't checked the M17x yet but it kind of looks like it's only OC'ing 2 of the cores. I need to do more testing with that.

The program I am going to try does not OC anything, but sets affinity according to what test is running. So will be dual (on fastest pair of cores, as yet to be determined) and quad on the rest.

John gave me the tip :)
