2 buisness days for me in the boxing stage.

 

From my experience a sales rep was still better than ordering online even with the two cancellations. I still had someone live to talk to when there was a problem. I'd start by calling sales and maybe they can get you to customer care. I'm not sure how to get a US rep though.

As far as finding out why the delays or cancellations you may not get the real answer. I probably will never know mine. It seems like they read a screen and never get in contact with someone that had the real answer. The positive result is faster shipping and possibly getting moved up in the queue.

 

Digital - I never went to boxing...it went from In-Production to Shipped in one step. My Dell Rep called and told me it was already en route. And trust me, I checked the order status obsessively.

 

Yay! Just arrived with UPS. Took 20 days from calling Dell to actually getting it. Oh, and it ships from China.

 

^ I really, really miss that logo "Made in the USA" , I really do !!

 

Just think, you'll never have to ask someone for a souvenir from China. I'm sure you have lots of stuff from there.

 

sure do Drake, but I would rather have a memento from each and every state of our country than whole bunch of stuff from the same place , as those have no geographical value or uniqueness … lol .. ))

I have mine all setup also, not a single flaw. I am just waiting on a few Steam downloads then I will have one of you tell my wife I will see her in a few months.

 

Ordered My M17x online on: 11/20/09.

Received an email same day about 3 hours after checkout saying my order was on hold and to call a 1-800 number. So I called and spoke to someone who needed me to verify that I was infact making that purchase. Had me give them all the pertinent info and then asked for a phone number where I was at that wasn't the same number that I was calling from. :confused2: umm Okay. Gave them my work number and they told me they would be calling back. I hung up the phone and it my work phone ranged. Pick up and it was the same rep I guess making sure it was me! Had me confirmed the info I gave them in the first call and then they said, everything was all set and they would move my order to In-production. (What the heck was all that for I was wondering. Anyone else have that happen)

Well I placed the order on Friday and as of yesterday it was still on hold. So I called back and amazingly enough got the same exact rep that I spoke to on friday.... She remembered me and said there was no reason why it should still be on-Hold. Put me on hold several times while checking with different departments. Finally came back and said she wasn't sure why the system did not automatically push me into In-Production after the verification process finished but she had her Manager do it manually and to check my status in one hour to make sure it changed. I check 45 mins later cuz you know how it is with the anticipation and it sure enough was In-Production!

Estimated Completion Date: 12/9/2009. EDD: 12/11/2009.

Still In-Production as of today and I'm wildly sitting in childish anticipation! No other delays as of now...(Knock On Wood).

 

Come home to me baby !!! Shipped !!!!

do you going to do a lot of video editing large tasks or heavy programs or you just want a lot of ram?

 

I just want a lot of ram !!! I also do HD Video Editing, Gaming , Downloading, heavy extracting/Riping (10GB + files , don't ask) Multi tasking. I like every programs that I would be using to be open at all times. Believe me or not, I leave my laptop on 24/7. The VGN-FZ260E I have now serves me two years already, which I am still leaving it on 24/7.

Same here for delivery on 12/01/09. You got quit a beasty machine there.

It only took me 8 days to get a shipped status from date of purchase.

Looks like Dell got their act together... lots of people have been getting their shipments including me. Got shipment notifcation this afternoon. Left Nashville TN on Saturday, not sure how long it will take yet because it's just the data info, have to get a scan check first. The free mouse and headset are still in production, i'm guessing they're all backordered.

 

Do you have a separate order number for the free mouse and headset? I have only one order number.

 

what you means with building stage ? is not in production the same?

Well i just looked then and it says its been shipped out and i should have it next week on 07/Dec God i cant wait !!

But i still havent bought a cooling pad or a carry bag for it yet =(((( Cant make my mind up on what one i want...

 

well for the cooling you can't get nothing better than cryo lx and for the carry bag whatever is strong for 15 pounds of weight

 

If you have only one order number, you didn't you didn't get those freebies. Thats just from my experienced. They always ship multiple items separately. Call your rep or CS.

 

The mouse and headset show up on my email confirmation. I actually don't even want them. I was just hoping they wouldn't slow up the shipping of my system.

 

Hmm so if you order through EPP do you get the headset and mouse? I don't remember seeing it. I ordered mine friday. I did it over the phone and they had a problem with the EPP so the put it together in the regular online menu and took 10% off. Now I've emailed them to try and get the $200 back from the upgrade and use that towards the Mini 10v. My arrival date is 15 Jan 2010. But it'll be later since it has to get to Iraq

 

It will not slow up the order as the laptop ships separtely. If you dont want the freebies, I'm sure that our forum member4s would gladly take it off your hands.

Just like to add my shipped status as well. EDD 12/1 but I'm hoping my brother-in-law who works at FedEX can catch it early. Finally this long painful process is almost done. Also have my Kingston Hyperx memory on the way.

 

Hi everyone, new member here. I've been reading for a week now but I've been lazy about registering. Ordered my m17x on 11/22.

quick question. It seems like the answer is no, but is there a "usual" average amount of time for the In Production phase? I ordered on 11/22 and its been in production since 11/23. I am very impatient, however I am willing to wait as long as it takes for one of these!

 

Here's an update from last week. I had the week of Thanksgiving off so I called the EPP line since my old college link is still active. He canceled my order and resubmitted it under a new one on 11/23 and promised to get it rushed. Low and behold it switched to shipped yesterday (11/29) and I have a tracking number so FedEx will deliver it on 12/2.

I ordered it online. I called the number today and it says its in the boxing stage. hopefully that means it will ship soon. maybe?

 

yeah congrats on the boxing stage, you're farther down the line than I am. I ordered my M17x on October 23rd, and it is still in production in the build stage. It's total bull crap. I'm happy for you that you are in the boxing stage in just a week's time, but it's kind of not fair, I ordered mine over a month ago and I just can't see what the hold up, especially since me and you ordered them the same way online. The forum says ordering them through a sale's rep is faster, but your's is showing progress way faster than mine, and they've been giving me excuses such as there's a shortage of parts, and people's orders are getting to them way faster than mine. I really don't know what to do about it all. I can't cancel because I already have the carrying bag, additional batteries and controllers and stuff, and I don't want to have to send them back. I've waited over a month and I just have this feeling that something has gone wrong and no one will tell me what it is.

It's all just weird that other people are getting their orders really quick, but I'm just sitting here waiting on nothing. I just have this feeling I'm not gonna get it...I'm almost more depressed than ticked off about this. I don't know what to do...
