They Didn't send my TactX Mouse !!! Only got the TactX Headset. ewwww I left my rep a voicemail.

 

When i ordered my m17x it was supposed to come with the headset...no mouse. The headset never came. Now when i look online there is no evidence of me being owed one....i sent an email but i don't plan on getting it at this point.

 

I did took a snipping of the deal that says Free TactX Headset and TactX Mouse. I can't lose !!

I can upload the snipping of the promo if you want.

 

I'm not too worried about it. I didn't really "need" the headset, just was a cool idea. I have a nice headset i've been using so if they are trying to pull a fast one i'll just let them win this time. Really it was just the principle of the thing.

I got mine ordered. They are currently out of stock of those items though because of the free promos...but they will eventually get them to you, and for free. ooo....9 long more days to go.

 

Sweet Holy 2.5oz Little Baby Geezus!!!! the Alienz has descended upon my crib! Oh and she is GLORIOUS!!!!!! I mean absolutely unbelievably smooth and luxurious!! My goodness...I do not even know where to start! Hahaha Im bumping thru the Command Center right now but I already took pics and video of the unboxing, unveiling and 1st boot sequence. I can't believe its here!

Oh BTW...ETA was the 16th of Dec but it arrived in Tampa early yesterday but sat at the FEDEx docking station for 24hrs before being shipped to the facility. I couldn't wait with so much anticipation so I called FedEx and had them hold it at the facility and I picked it up at 9am this morning. What a sweet looking machine.

After I finish gawking at it...I will get into the more serious stuff. It came with Win7 Home Premium but I will probably bump it up to Ultimate since I won't be using it anymore on my old lappie. Pics and Vids coming soon!

It was more than worth the wait and with a snazzy lil AW Orion Backpack and Baseball cap (shipped in the box) to go with it...I'm a very happy customer right now!

Hello everyone, I am so excited that I cannot control my feeling. I just saw that my Alienware M17x was shipped in the order status page!!!!. I am so happy. Ordered on 11/23/2009, estimate shipping date: 12/17/2009, shipped 12/08/2009. Moreover I ordered 512 SSD, which could delay the shipping date. I thought that it will be shipped one week after the estimate date. But I never believe that it is just shipped one week before the estimate date.

And the estimate delivery date will be 12/11/2009

SO mine is still in order processing...they took the money from my bank account...yet it's still shows as order processing, and when I called to verify, my sales rep said that it is in line to be canceled unless I confirm the order...this is strange. They took my money and I have to verify? Isn't that verification enough? Jeez...I'll have to call them in the morning so it doesn't get canceled and I don't get ripped off.

 

Looks like I make the leap today. Dell is replacing my M1730 with a M17x

I ordered mine originally on 11/20 and then cancelled and reordered on 11/27 to get the $200 discount and EDD was 12/06 but it came in on 12/08. I think I have the whole times and delivery listed on my sig too incase I typed something wrong.

After one day...its still an awesome feeling and its just so lovely! So far no problems at all with some of the problems the m17x are having. Very satisfied customer. Now I get to make my way over to the Owner's Lounge. I need to press my suit up to look presentable! :laugh:

 

I don't know when dell gets out of work. but i hope it ships today. At the latest tomorrow. I picked 2nd business day for shipping. to it will get here by saturday.....

do you know how long it took for them to box you machine? thats where mine has been the passed two days.

everyone chatting about how awesome their new m17x is and my estimated date is for the 13 of Jan, this is killing me, i placed my order on the 20th of November a few of you have already received your systems even placing the order past the 20th, i dont get it, does the estimated delivery tend to be longer or shorter from what's estimated, it only appears as in production, its been like that since the 3rd day i placed the order, i dont understnd what takes them so long

 

if you ordered with an epp discount you get put on a higher priority than online orders. that could be why its taking a while. if its been that long i would call dell to see whats up. i ordered on december first and its already nearly through boxing. and my edd was the 22nd but it looks like itll be here by either the end of the week or next monday. i believe they generally are delivered before the estimated edd. im getting pretty giddy about it though!

 

I don't know if people are still wondering about this, but I ordered my m17x on 11/13 with one hdd and just got it over the weekend and it came with the second caddy with 4 screws so I guess Alienware is shipping with them now

 

so I´ve just gone through the phone process and it says my order is in the boxing stage, i dont know what that means, but it says its gonna be shipped by the 7th of January, today is the 9th of December, ? what to they box so much?? i got a hold of a representative and I've been told it should be delivered by next tuesday, i really dont know what to believe, anyways you guys out there how long does it really take to receive your order from the boxing stage to actually been delivered? i placed the order on the 20th of november cause I'm leaving the states in December the 30th, so i hope i receive it before or if not I'll be gone for the next six months!!!!!

 

I hope so... I really want to have it for the weekend. Got a local LAN party. My 7805u should be able to handle the games were playing just fine. But why take that when The m17x should be here!

Boxing is normally 3 days then it's shipped. The boxing process is the period it gets shipped from China to a local hub then reboxed with any additional equipment purchased then shipped to you. So expect to have your system by next week.

And since I didnt purchase extra equipment.. it would be nice if they just sent it right to my door.

 

basically the computers are assembled and then packed into groups and shipped to a local dell outlet. i believe its boxes of 20 if i remember correctly. once at a local outlet they are put into individual packaging with the manual, mouse pad, hat, etc and then given to fed ex. it will then be sent to you. sadly yes now that dell owns alienware the manufacture will be outsourced. however at the present i dont think alienware is built in dell facilities. i think the europe and north america manufacturing facilities are still open. could be wrong though haha dont quote me on that

 

Fedex, I don't think they deliver on Saturday. I was thinking it would ship tomorrow, and arrive Saturday. Oh Well..

 

There was one member on this forum that had received their order on saturday. I believe a few pages back. FedEx do deliver on saturday, just depends on location. I was suppose to received mine on a saturday too, but the FedEx facility kept it over the weekend and deliver it on monday.

Nothing against that. But one of the reasons i bought the AW is cause i thought it was made here... I could see out sourcing parts, but I was hoping it was built in the USA

I got mine last saturday. It came by Fedex around 3PM. I think they only deliver on saturday to residents. I think they just don't deliver on saturday if its something being shipped to a business.

 

This is good to know. I was banking on this and didn't order an extra caddy when I purchased my system. Which I ordered on Black friday witht the EPP Discount. Right now the dell site says it's shipped, but there is no tracking number, nor have I recieved an email from my rep. So I'm kinda in the dark, but just hoping it gets here before too long. Ideally before christmas. Not to mention since the military brings it over I don't think the tracking will do much good. although I heard if it's through fed-ex or DHL it can be tracked through Iraq. Not sure though. I'll email my rep later today. I'm 8hrs ahead so she wouldn't be up anyhow.

Can't wait for it to get here, told my fiance I wanted a few blu-ray movies for x-mas. Want to check out the beauty of the screen. Can't wait to play Modern Warfare two on high setting either

Ok now I'm just rambling, but I also have my order from new egg coming. 640GB HDD, RAM, thermal paste and a Logitech preformance MX mouse. gah just called the number and its still in boxing :'( looks like i havebto wait a fourth day of boxing before it ships unless they havent updated the phone or web systems yet

 

same here still in boxing, my mouse and headset were delivered the 3rd of Dec, i originally unchecked the default headset and ticked the logitech 7.1 but it was then changed to the deafault alien headset, to bad it doesnt have surround sound

i ordered my computer on december 1st and got a razer mamba with it. both had 5-7 day shipping just because im cheap like that and the mamba was shipped december 2nd and arrived december 3rd. a pretty fast 5-7 days huh? but hopefully my computer is shipped out today i would like it by tuesday of next week lol

 

My sis woke me up today with yet another package from dell, this one being the headset and mouse...lol got my hopes up. But hey, I totally recommend the headset and mouse, I've installed them into my desktop for now, and let me tell you, I've never seen such crisp performance. I totally recommend both items if you haven't gotten them for free with your purchase, try to get them. Granted, the headphones are huge, and you'll look totally dorky with them, but hey, the M17x is gigantic too, why not 'beast' your look all the way huh?

 

Lucky you, you received both. I only received the headset. They did not send the mouse , because they said that it was not on the order. I gave em a screenshot of the promo that dated the same day of the purchase that qualifies for the promo. Still waiting for a reply from them.

Will be getting 2 OCZ Vertex 256GB SSDs to replace the 500GB HD. That'll add about $1000. Will also replace the stock RAM with 8GB which is another few hundred.
