Still in production. I will be out of town from June 30th thru July 11th, but my son will be at home if it arrives on the 10th. Any chance you think that it could come by the 29th? -
Just got off the phone talking to my rep. It seems that all m17x's that have been ordered here in the Netherlands are still all in phase 2: pre-production.
And they don't seem to get any further at the monent. It might also be a European parts problem? -
The plot thickens.
I am from the Netherlands. There are two production facilities here in Europe (Limerick-Ireland and Lodz-Poland) but:
Mine will be produced in China! -
wasn't Ireland shut down?
-
I wonder how this will affect time between shipment and delivery. -
the european demand might be too high for the Lodz factory alone.
-
-
i think the GTX 260Ms are in pretty high demand.
-
Day #4 in boxing. Need to have it shipped by Wednesday for delivery this week!
-
Well just got some more information from a lady on the order status department here in the Netherlands.
There is an additional Lead-time of about 20 working-days up on the normal delivery time.
If still possible I'm gonna cancel this order simply because I'm tired of waiting and because my rep has been telling me a different story every time I talked to him.
m17x bye bye! -
-
Looks good to me..
What is the Mars red? -
Default LED color.
-
Mine is in pre-production in China. -
-
All I got when I called and talked to a rep was "your order is finalizing in the building stage"...whatever that means. Her english was borderline.
-
My rep just told me that mine iwill be produced in China. -
Thats right..
Thanks -
hi,
I did my order on the 10 / June
It In Production: 11/06/2009
my esd is 1 of July, I can live with that in my opinion -
Welcome to NBR. Did you call the number in the first post of this thread to see where in production you are? (assuming you're in the US)
-
Anyway, here's hoping that my system moves into boxing soon!Attached Files:

In total this is day #11 for me so I assume it will ship by the end of the week. Same with everyone else here.

Well, all of our brand new M17x's are already out of date

geez, now we need to remember that GTX 260M is below a GTS 260M. Can't they at least go into the 300 range to make it less confusing?
-
I knew that those GPU's listed were not as powerful as ours, but they are built of the new 200 core architecture and use GDDR5.
So, it's only a matter of time before one does come out that is fast than the GTX 280M. -
I didn't compare the stats I just saw it says that the ones we purchased are based off of the old architecture.
-
-
-
yea they will use the same power and run cooler they will be mxm 3.0
-
they will proably hit the lower end laptops and mid range nvidia seriously needs to updste their budget gaming rigs like the gateway etc
-
-
I am still in the boxing stage, hopefully that will change later today which I think will happen.

This is what he told me:
with a new system here seems to be a RTO (Ready To Order) and a RTS (Ready To Ship) time. Unfortunately for the BeNeLux, or perhaps entire Europe the RTS has not been reached yet. So we have to wait till the production que has been filled, and then all the computers can be built, tested, boxed and Shipped in one run. So I just have to be patient and wait until the que has been filled. It could be any time now, but it also might take another week. -
unfortunately mine is still in the building stage also so i finally spoke to a rep about the order for the first time, the only thing he told me i didn't already know was that there is no back ordered parts for my system. The rest i already knew such as the build stage and EDD.
-
Got my order confirmation today - sensibly cautious credit card company refused authorisation which held me up 5 days.
Ordered in UK 10 june, confirmation 15 june, EDD 23 July
Space Black, QX9300, 4GB 1333MHz, 500GB HDD, BluRay, WUXGA, SLI 280 -

Well, I just got a call from a representative in Round Rock. He explained that my order has been held up because the SKU number for the TV Tuner card was wrong on the website when i ordered. So now they have split my order into two parts; The main notebook and the TV card. The only thing is that this means that it's moved back into processing (ugh). I was afraid to even ask when he thought it might be shipped. He did say that they would rush it as much as possible.
Fortunately he gave me his direct phone extension and email so I don't have to deal with Customer 'Care' anymore. Not that they EVER said anything about there being a problem with the order itself let alone the tv card. The only things they ever told me was that 1) nothing was wrong at all or 2) it's being delayed because of the black chassis.
You know - even with this delay I am back to being excited about this Notebook. Having to deal with the support had sucked all the fun out of it...
Anyway, If you ordered the TV card you might be in the same boat as me. I don't know when they fixed the numbers on the website but if you ordered the morning of the first day it was available - that was when I ordered. -
Looks like everyone who is buying a M17X is getting an even better deal now that pre-orders are starting for the Clevo M980nu.
Check out this thread.
