I e-mailed my rep and she replied quite quickly. Apparently, my order is now in the build phase! Yay! Have you not been assigned a rep upon making the purchase? I assumed you'd get your reps e-mail and extension number, like I have.

i never got a rep assigned to my order, i do have a case number though from an email i sent yesterday that has yet to be responded to other than getting their automated survey request, hope they don't think i'm going to fill this survey out before i ever got a response

Ha, orders placed today still show a July 9th estimated Ship date. The last laptop I ordered from Dell shipped prior to the ship date, but I don't expect the same to happen with the M17x.

Yea I was sound asleep and the delivery guy woke me up.. lol best wake up i have had in a while.. Didnt go to bed till 4 am so running on 3.5 hours of sleep but def worth it..

looks like on the q9000 you can change the multiplier but you can edite fsb and mem settings. that is it. The rest is locked in bios

My sales rep just told me: They are not really cancelled, but been put on hold. Might be some problem(hardware?) they're facing ate the moment.

i saw you say the multiplier can be changed int he bios for q9000, have you oc'd yours yet? I know in the w90vp-a1 the q9000 was stable at around 2.8ghz.

The multiplier is locked. you can change fsb settings and timings.. that is it.

What was the part with the bad SKU? Mine was the TV Tuner. Same thing happened - cancelled the order and split it into 2 parts. The notebook in one order and the tv tuner in the other.

If there were many deliveries to your area might they schedule a second truck on the route? If so I can see you chasing the first truck while the second drives up to your place to deliver.

Yay hit 'Phase 3 - In Production' today. Order date was 11th June and estimated delivery is 21st July. I really hope it's sooner than that!

I ordered mine via the website (no phone call) on the 8th and it shipped today. Unsually on the website, it never said anything re: boxing, etc. or pre-production, it simply said "in production" from the first day and then "shipped" today. I ordered from US w/ the following config:
