    Hahahah I don't hate you at all. I am glad you are getting your order quickly. I just wish they would pick up the EU orders more quickly...of course I do think that alot of our frustration in the EU has come from not being able to reach anyone over the weekend...I kind of feel bad for Dell tomorrow! Hahaha.

    For people that are in shipping or who have already received, what time of the day did your order status change to "Shipping"? I'm getting really anxious, and hopefully my laptop will ship this week.

    Now im starting to feel quite unhappy with Dell!!! I ordered my M17X by phone on 17th June (Dell Ireland), they emailed me an order confirmation and a link to check the progress of my order, which i happily did, only to find out my order had been cancelled!!!! I phoned them about the situation and after half a day managed to get through to the sales guy who proceeded to tell me that everything was ok and that the cancelled order error was due to some software glitch in Dell. He also went on to assure me that my edd would remain the 3rd July or earlier. Sounds like we must have been talking to the same sales guy!!!! I was kind of hoping that since i was dealing with Dell as opposed to Alienware my experience buying a laptop this time would be less troublesome. I suppose that remains to be seen!!! Let me know how you get on when you phone dell regarding the alleged order cancellation...thanks!! :mad:

    What order cancelling story?

    My case is still in escalation. Been told to "give them a few days" to resolve the issue. >.> Also, the guy I spoke to said that my unit should be shipped from Ireland but if not, it'd be Holland? o.0 My rep is off until tomorrow, at 11. So I'll be on the phone again in 25 hours!

    This thread is quite long, but I think it's been mentioned on numerous occasions that the Order Status online is experiencing errors and that it does show most (if not, all) of the orders as being cancelled - including mine. Though, I do understand your frustration. However, if you get your laptop before mine, I'm going to be mighty p issed.

    Fair enough...i have been reading this thread for an hour so far and am practically cross-eyed so i probably missed the other mentions of the order cancellation being a general issue. That and the fact that my last experience with Alienware wasn’t really a good one has probably led me to overact and panic a little!!! Thanks for putting me at ease...at least a little!!! If i do get my laptop before you i will make sure not to mention it....the pain of waiting is worse than Christmas when you are 6!!!! :)

    well i phoned up and couldnt get hold of my rep, so i just phoned dell custome care team. They said they had no idea why this was cancelled, they just said they would escalate this enuqiry to find out the problem -.-
    if it happens again im just going to cancel my order

    Exactly the same situation here. Phoned dell this morning and they told me my order has been cancelled by the system, they don't know what is causing this. If they change my EDD i'm gonna give up till september, because i won't be able to pick the pc up at home after the 6th :(

    I just got my fricking page from Dell saying my EDD has been changed to the 27th!!! I am not standing for this...time to call Dell.

    i said it many times before. someone said eu customers wont take the m17x before 24 of july. i hope this is not true but i believe it is. futhermore he said that before two weeks even before this story with the orders cancelling appeared!

    Mine has been escalted too, but no idea where that will go. They say I'm top of the list to be put into the build phase but why hasn't it been done already? I ordered on the first day so it should literally be:

    1 - Grab base M17x unit.
    2 - Add parts to M17x tailored to the order.
    3 - Test the machine.
    4 - Ship the machine.

    But nooo. 2 weeks JUST to get into build, after taking my money. Nice one, Dell.

    Also, what the hell is this screen issue people are talking about? =/

    Just heard from my Rep he said that they have had issues with over 1300 orders, all from the EU I am assuming. Apparently it has been supplier issues not an internal error as we have been told. The reason for the late info is becauase they didn't know until today I assume that it was a supplier issue. Of course everyone from the US gets treated first because the parts are most likely shipped there first before being sent to here...I bloody well hope my EDD changes. If anyone has any questions you want me to ask my rep just let me know I will see if I can get them answered.

    i am not surprised by the amount of orders .... decent gaming laptops are hard to come by in alot of these countrys dell is shipping to now

    Just had an email reply from the sales guy with another order confirmation and link to check online status. This time it works and says the status is "pre-production". Even though i ordered it on 17th June the order date has changed to 22nd June and the delivery date has changed from 3rd July to the 8th July. Doesn't sound too bad except i had a ticket booked to travel to Ireland to collect the laptop returning the 4th...not much use now!!! Lets hope they keep to their schedule!!!
