    I think like 1 or 2 people on these forums did it and no-one has brought that up since like May 30th. Don't get how it was relevant. :p

    I am french an had the same problem :

    06/03 -> Order placed (EDD 07/13)
    06/05 -> Moved into phase 2
    06/17 AM -> Cancelled
    06/17 PM -> Placed again
    06/18 AM -> Cancelled (again)
    06/18 PM -> Placed again (and again...)
    06/19 -> Moved into phase 3 !!!

    I may had call/e-mail thousand times between 06/18 and 06/19 before things moved.

    But! I see someone who get it's own shipped the 06/19 (follow that link if you understand french)

    So be patient, I think things will go beter now.

    P.S : sorry for my english :/

    My understanding of French text is very rusty so I shan't even attempt to read that. But it's good to know EU units have been shipped!

    Yeah, that's cool beans, fo sho. I'm rootin for you EU customers cuz it seams to me like the only things an out-of-country customer should expect is increased shipping costs and delivery dates once it's shipped. Hearing of increased production times and higher merchandise prices is discouraging, to say the least.

    the EDD is what matters not the phase of the order (if it is on phase 3). so we are sure that someone got it in europe? what specification does he have?

    I had the cancel order, it is in production as of today but there is no time limit on the production phase. Anyone have any idea, roughly, of how long it takes?

    Also guys, I know this is a bit off topic as well but has anyone actually managed to overclock the Q9000 yet? The highest I have heard that someone got was to about 2.43 or something but apparently it can go higher?

    Orderd mine 6/7, enterd production 6/8, edd is 7/8 and its still in production. The people who have are lucky, and to make things worse my computer broke a few days ago and had to send it in so now i got nothing left :( Does anyone know if the the site's order status is buggy and if mine may have been shipped already? Canada BTW

    Same for me too. Ordered from US around the same date as you, EDD is 7/9 and still in production. Since I am ordering thru my friend, do not have the possibility of knowing further details.

    I am not worried though, consideríng I cannot get the machine until some time in July end (or worst case in August) when my friend returns from US. Just hope I (he) get it delivered without a dull screen :(

    i see that only US users have taken their m17x on time. also as expected. if someone is from US and has this problem then this means that Dell decided to send some in europe. thanks very much

    Yeah, I guess we gonna stay in production now for antoher 2 weeks.
    Mine is in production since 18th of June. So how long is it gonna take to build a laptop and test it? Should be done in 1 day I think. But no, this is for European customers off course, so it takes 2 weeks. And all my rep says is; you gonna get it on or before the 10th of July. So I could indeed thake more then 2 weeks

    Well the more I read all the threads here, the more I'm going to dislike this laptop. Bad screens, disappointing benchmarks, buttons not working.

    I wish your English made sense. But anyway, the US got their systems earlier than their EDDs, as far as I know, no-one has received their system past their EDD. Simply because, no-one was given an EDD in June.

    Well, I'm in the US and ordered and have been in production since 6/10 with a EDD of 7/16. But I think that's because I ordered through AAFES (military exchange)

    I think Dell takes way longer to do AAFES orders.

    If AW was handling the order all the way, I think I would've had by now.

    Update:
    I called this morning, and my laptop finally went into boxing stage (US Cust that ordered online within the first 20 minutes). Yay!

    Later this afternoon, I got a call from dell quality control, (due to my email) , saying that the reason why there is huge lagtime in the build, is because of the LCD Being on backorder.

    My response, well why didnt anyone tell me ? (she said she doesnt know), and why is it in the boxing stage ? (She said its still showing back order on my LCD).

    Ultimately, she said she will call me back with options.
    I think dell unloaded old LCD's on the first wave of M17x's , which now i am stuck. But why am I in the boxing stage ?

    i ordered from Uk dell if this is what you ask. i mentioned that several times i am sure :p

    my english language is not very good to make so complicated sentences as i want to. i mean if us customers begin to have cancels and delays then this is hope for europe. i hope they dont of course and all of us have the same luck in this universe

    hopefully this mean those of us that were stuck in build for awhile will get the promised dual bulb lcd, that is my only worry with this system is getting a subpar screen. If i do i will be demanding a replacement until i get the dual buld screen that was advertised.

    KNIGHTOFSKILL as i understand you are in build phase but the lcd is missing. the answer i got for this is that build phase may begin even before all parts are available. the conclusions for your build phase and how long it will last are yours .

    i spent hours with Dell. i dont want anyone to believe i am saying stupid things. if anyone believes that i will stop posting.

    Like i said, it doesnt make any sense, the next question , is why my laptop is saying it is in the boxing stage ?

    Yes i agree, there is a stage before, where all parts are supose to be gathered...

    All i know, is that she was very confident with what she was saying.

    if i think this may happen too then i will get crazy. i need to go on holiday

    Ok so what I am getting from everyone is that Dell has put the orders on backorder because of the screens. Also I got from the Dell forums that they actually ran out of boxes to build with, hahahah seriously!, and they didnt have any new ones until the 20th, maybe another reason. I was told that they had supplier issues so slowly we are working out what they were out of!

    usually the gpus are responsible for backorders but in this case many people even with one gpu gtx260 are waiting 20-29 of july. where did you learn that for the screen? so they are having no screens at all or just producing new improved ones? US owners please send the boxes to Dell. they are for good purpose. lool
