this guy ordered on 10 of june. AND HE IS FROM US NOT EUROPE.that says everything. still no one in europe? i dont know where this aerus is from but even him ordered on 2th of june and got it on 21.

almost one month after its release we are still trying hard to find just one in europe who has it.

and this dell forum uses the same username and password as of your account. so as to know who you are. big Dell is watching you

 

Unfortunately, it's not a "first come, first served" situation . Seems to me that high demand items = high potential of production delays. With this being the first time an AW product has shipped to more than 80% of these countries and through these new Dell channels, the non-US order delays kinda makes sense too.

 

thats why i said before that i was very angry when i heared this guy with the metallica moustache saying that now with Dell alienware is extended to 16 countries. If the m17x needs two months to arrive to countries like UK or Canada then what will happen with the rest? just a question

ok they have these parts missing. if they want to be right then they should put a message: your order will need at least one month to be delivered, before you place the order. but customers are not so noob now on Dell.

 

mines is in build phase now =) after 2 cancelations (uk btw) its going to be here july 7th, i ordered about 17th i think! any in uk recieved there M17x? wanna see if the screens better... but tbh it doesnt look that bad frm what ive seen

guess what. me too. ordered on 10th with around the same specs. EDD for me 22 of july. when i got into build phase EDD was 30 of june.

hard to believe i know. and i wouldnt trust any rep now on. mine says many things too. and they would do their best when you order. the only thing you can do then on is waiting. thats what they hope for.

Lol mines been in production for 16 days and now i got a call saying itll be delayed 7 buisness days so i seriously wouldnt get your hopes up. I also orderd by phone and it went into production asap. Atleast i miss the bad screen distribution

 

how do u know u missed the bad screen distrubtion? how do you know they dont all have bleeding? are u frm the UK?

 

Canada and if their out of parts i can only assume its the screens seeing as how some got good ones with 2 lights instead of 1 with massive bleed. Im pretty sure they wont order in old monitors to use.

 

they all have duel bulbs m8 it was confirmed.. so if 1 has bleeding more than likey they all will lol..

 

How long has yours benn in the "boxing" stage? Mine has been in boxing since Saturday the 20th.... hope it ships either today or tomorrow as I have 2nd day shipping and I am leaving town on the 30th for 11 days....

I was lucky enough to be contacted by someone other than customer care about the problem in my order when they had to cancel it and do a reorder. It was a special situtation where one of the things on my order shouldn't have been there and had an impossible SKU. (I ordered from the website - mistake #1.) To 'fix' the situation they had to split my order into two. I guess that is why they called me - too difficult to explain in an email. Anyway, that's when I found out why my order was delayed. I also had an opportunity to complain about the customer 'care' calls/emails. Since then they (not customer 'care') have kept in touch with me - making sure i knew what was going on. Knowing what the problem was made all the difference to me while i was waiting for the system. Customer support calls and emails NEVER gave me an indication about the part problem. In fact, it seemed ever time I called there was a different reason for the delay. It was really bad.

So anyway, I really don't think we have a big enough sample of orders (especially from Europe and the rest of the world) to make generalizations about geographic priorities. We maybe have enough to make us curious/concerned but I don't think I would make any bets regarding it.

Bad screen distibution? Like we know that is exactly why things were delayed? Is there even such a thing?

you are right sleey0. no one does. some rumours begin from such posts. i could even say that the gpus are the missing parts and maybe the boxes (lool).

 

I started this thread to get a consenus of ppl's ship dates in realtion to order date.

I knew there would be some rumors, etc on delays but now ppl are like believing there own crap.

It's funny and sad at the same time......

 

this is always the case in forums. you must be clever enough to understand some things and judge posts for their reliability.

by the way i think this thread should change name. in the case of euro Dell it should be like:

<< you are in build phase? sure you are. whats your EDD? >>

the old order status doesnt exist. this is how it it is now.

order processed in one or two days
then directly build phase (yes the prebuilding phase that could last 16 days now lasts 0 days)
EDD around 17 days after you happily see your order in build phase
Final EDD will be shown after 3- 4 days extending as normal to more than 3 weeks more.

maybe other delays exist too but i didnt reach this point yet.

 

You guys can buy from ebay and save somemoney and time. I am shipping one worldwide (excluding Africa).

 

If someone buys from you how does the transfer of warranty work?

And can we request specific configurations?

 

Well it depends what I have available for upgrades. You may ask and I can give you a price. I prefer doing it through PMs since advertising is prohibited by NBR rules. The warranty is transfered through dell website. I have done it so many times.

 

I spoke to a Dell rep today and he told me that though my edd is later in July that it is almost ready to ship, probably in the next 2 days.

So most likely I will not receive it by the 29th. I am leaving town on the 30th (very early in am) and will not return until the 11th. My son will be at home but his schedule is haphazard. So my question is what do I do if my son is not home after the first attempted delivery? Won't Fedex try to deliver again the next day? What if he wasn't there again? This has never happened to me before where I was expecting a big delivery and I was out of town. Should I have my friend from down the street pick it up for me? He is much more reliable and he gets off of work at 9:30am.

This is the only reason I am in a rush to get this "bad boy". Too bad I didn't order it on the 3rd, though no guarantees it would still have gotten to me before vacation.

Anyone have any ideas how I can handle this?

Officially there is a 5 day backorder on the WUXGA lcd panels and 500GB HDD's (this is direct from Dell's US site).

Since the build time for the system is 15 days, it shouldn't impact your ship date at all.

 

Affected mine by 7 buisness days but im fine with that as long as its before july 10th

The Moo, at least we know were not geting LCD's that have been lieing around somewhere, hopefully... the wait is worth it, i might be one the first with the backordered LCD's... only because she said mine was backordered already.

 

Well, if you're patient and don't even think about it, it will ship before you know it. Just like mine did.
