It's not really five more days. You systems build time to begin with is 15 days max.

Those 5 days fall right into the 15. So there are shortages but they will get them in so it shouldn't affect your order.

 

Alright, bros... just moved into shipped status after 3 full business days of the boxing stage. My updated order time-line is as follows...

I'm not going to go into detail of my 2 previous orders I had before this including my return of an M1730, but will gladly make a second post for that info should anyone like to hear it (check my posting on pg. 168 of this thread for half of the story)

Well from the info i get from the Dutch Dell site in Phase 2 pre-production there is a check if all parts are avaialble, if this is true then you will move into pjase 3 production. So there shouldn't be any parts problem in phase 3.
Unless a problem is discovered with one of the parts off course and that seems to be out of stock.

 

this is what i am saying for days now. its that you say or that the build phase is some kind fake. but 90% of euro machines are in build phase directly 2 -3 days after purchase. so parts cant be available immediately and directly in build phase lasting for many days (not all of them can have problems). this is for the eyes again.

 

Yes, it is just you keep us happy and make us belief that the are really working on it. Well if they give me all the parts plus a drawing i can easily built it 2 days and then test it.

i know what you mean. sorry for that my friend. this is how i get it. if i understand something else i will be the first to post it. be sure for that. and i always hope good luck to all of us. if you have the parts you can build it in 2 hours but this is what i am asking. do they have the whole parts? i posted earlier that build phase may start before all parts are available. . this is what i got from a Dell rep.except if the chassis is missing i guess

and i am sure they are working on it. how long can they keep us waiting?

 

Well, I'm expecting a phone call from the rep's manager here in Holland. He better has some satisfying answers for me. If he doesn't, its all clear to me and I'm gonna cancel my order. Strangely cancelling still seems to be possible eventhough I'm in phase 3 already! Might be a sign they havent started building it yet?

Besides from what I read in other threads this really isn't the "Allpowerfull" after all.

 

Mine is no on fedex vehicle for delivery, i even woke up early to make sure i didn't miss him. Only a few more hours to wait then i'm off to be officially in the owners lounge.

 

this post should have been in the owner's lounge...i should have had my M17x in my hands 30 mins ago. sales rep and logistics called yesterday to say it was in singapore. were going to deliver it this evening, then some guy from logistics calls today and says it's at customs. so i'm back to getting it "next week".

was really hoping this weekend would be filled with GTA IV and Left 4 Dead

Wow freakin AUSOME! my order date is still 6/7/09 but my old production date is now 6/25/2009 10:00:34 AM and to go with it neither the order proccessing or pre production arrow are lit up ty dell...

 

And my new date is 7/27/09 im gonna call dell and say sht i cant say here

Did the fedex truck just get it today (nashville)? If so then you're in the same boat as me and still wont get it till your EDD tomorrow.

 

no mine is here locally on fedex truck for delivery, left local fedex depot about 25 miles away at 6:18 this morning.

you can cancel the order in build phase. i have done it before with alienware. actually it was under testing. i advice you to wait a little more. some things seem to change...

yeah i've been toyed too, a fedex truck drove by a few hours ago, but it was a fedex express truck not ground.

hey all, i'm new here. ordered my m17x about a week ago, just wondering if anyone has successfully been able to push their build up by calling.

 

I haven't mate but it's always worth a shot.

 

So i sold my m17 to get something smaller, but i couldnt resist and i got the M17x. Im going to put my QX9300 in it. i only got 4gb of ram and 2 160gb in raid as i have other hard drives lying around. I did get SLI 280's. I also ordered the Oakley kitchen sink backpack which has room for large 17 inch laptops. so well see. should have it by the 17th according to the rep on the phone.

 

Called dell... they have no supervisors there and my agent is gone untill saturday and same thing with the supervisors... i wonder why all these errors are occuring...

 

in the link to the tracking in UPS UK, it says nothing about the status. I received a mail from Dell stating that I should have received the laptop today between 9am and 6pm yet no one called nor showed up. I contacted them, they had no idea and have no number for the UPS to call..Any resemblance??

When I called and spoke to a rep, the rep had a ugly tone with me, so i asked to speak to a manager, and he just put me back in the regular queue for customer service.

So with standard shipping that puts me around July 17th.

Oh and I'm in the build phase right now.

 

It can't really be confirmed that my order was affected in any way by the CS rep in India placing an "expedite request" with the factory on my order, it may just be a show put on by them, but... Mine was faster than some, a little shy of a 16 day turnover from order to *delivered*. The day mine went into boxing stage was the day my rep said the expedite request was approved. Take it with a grain of salt .

I would go crazy over that and I would keep calling until I got a manager, that would be some major bonus points for sure! That is NOT customer service.

 

One of the 800 numbers tells me I'm being processed, another, and Dell.com, tells me I'm in the build phase. Is that common?

I am new to the forum and maybe the only one who order the M17x from Dell China in this thread.
After reading hundreds of pages about the new M17x on this forum, I placed the order on 6/17. It never moved into next phase according to the online status. But when I checked the status via phone today, it was said that my EDD is 6/29. That's so weird. Have anyone met such situation？

 

No but I wish my date was the 6/29.
