ok guys i do have LCD bleed but its not bad @ all normal for a LCD and you cannot tell during regular usage ....

How is the screen otherwise ? Brightness , color etc ?.

 

i know you didnt as, but heres my opinion anyway. The screen is perfect, disregarding a TINY amount of bleed at the bottom on a black screen. In all seriousness I was more than happy. Its sharper than any screen on a laptop. Colors are vibrant and sharp. I love it. just my 2cents.

You should brush up on your tax law knowledge

Dell is registered to do business in every state. AW used to only charge FL residents tax because that was there only state of business.

This all changed once Dell bought AW.

All the big US computer and software companies are going to get sales tax (Dell, HP, M$, etc).

well - my order has gone phoooof - tried calling Dell this morning (i found out last evening AFTER i was told at noon that it was ready to be processed) and got passed around till i finally hit the Dell customer service receptionist twice..

hung up...

am anything but impressed right now - last time they cancelled my order it was due to cpu availability (or so i was told) - last order sat for 7 days in "Order Received" and as of yesterday it was still available - but, evening time comes, i check again..and voila, it's gone again.

When i call the automated order status system we have here in Australia, i'm being told that a customer care representative is needed in order to continue, so i continue and voila, get the handball.

emailed the rep to find out what's going on and get an out-of-office reply (it's early hours yet so she's most likely not in yet).

All things being said, i'm not happy - thinking of changing my avatar back to something demented again

Jason they are notorious for shipping on fridays... that is one reason I got the 2 day shipping... I'll probably recieve it at the same time as the one days... and for less... BTW congrats on your very fast production time!!!

I don't understand how some people with higher specs than me are already in the boxing stage, shipping, or have received their laptop. I ordered 6/28/09 and it has been in build since then.

 

Just wanted to let you guys and gals know that my machine was delivered to me this morning. I was busy installing software and playing all day, that's why I didn't post earlier. It's a stellar machine. It's finally time to head to the owner's lounge, I guess.
