Haha, right. Well it is not so much the battery life anymore. Size and operating system matters a lot. I think Alienware should make an operating system.

psh..whatever. WoW was a good game. I used to be a grand marshal dwarf hunter, then I got gladiator three times. i quit cause Wotlk sucked. But I still hold my legacy of hunter pvp skills. YES I ADMITTED TO PLAYING WOW...get over it.

Clauss, if you haven't played Modern Warfare you are missing one of the best (if not arguably THE best) FPS of all time.

I didnt, for some reason when people arent gamers play the games. They look worse to me. Ok i lied, i went to a few friends houses who had it, they play it all the time and are like, I'm going to school you so hard. I just faceroll through them all. It felt just like the rest of them. At least i dont think it was modern warfare....actually it was like WW2 but it was a recent one.

Ok i cant figure out which game is which...I played a COD game at two friends houses, and now I don't know which I played. It was with old school guns. And some classes dropped a grenade when they died...BACK ON TOPIC...m17x order status's!

 

Haha yeah the game is prett Bad A$$. Best combo ever is the M21 with an ACOG scope. Pull off so many head shots with that, try it!

So, opinions here. (Don't beat me up) Alienware M17x or Macbook Pro17 Inch?

 

If you plan to play games, WELL, the m17x. For simple whatever stuff, and watching youtube. Go for the mac. I hate macs. But they are nice for simple stuff. If you play games, you know your answer.

Well, my friend has a Macbook Pro 15 inch that can run like Crysis on high settings and stuff. I just don't see myself playing games 24/7.

I doubt that very much, but yeah, if you want to game the M17x is your rig, a Mac wont compete in that area.

 

Well the new 3.06 ghz processor on the Macbook Pro really does make it possible to run Crysis on High. I'm going to make my decision by tomorrow when it comes.

 

Honestly, if it has a mobile card like a 9600M GT the processor is really not going to improve Crysis enough to run on high settings, Crysis is very GPU bound. you might get decent frames on medium though, but then again, games these days with the exception, of a few MMO's and GTA IV are majorly GPU bound.

 

I would like to see the mac run crysis on HIGH. That would real surprise and change my mind alot. Playable, on high. That would be a mindblowing demonstration. T9600 overclocks over the highest mac processor so hard...makes me happy.

 

Well, it has integrated and discrete graphics cards. It may not be SLI but it holds its own. Anyways, FedEx has listed my M17x as In Transit to Buyer.

 

Trust me, I think you will love your M17x, and if you don't play games that much then those dual 260M's will keep you permanently satisfied for as long as you will own your M17x.

Just one GTX 260M rapes a 9600M GT with more than triple the amount of stream processors and double the memory bus, and with two in there, oh boy, you will run Crysis and games that aren't even out yet with visuals that would make a Macboy cry.

 

Id love 2 see that mac play crysis on high... lol
