    IMO Windows 7 beta is better than OSX, and it's not like OSX on a PC is unheard of.

    I don't think talking about something like that is necessarily prohibited, NBR is not a Nazi regime, I think if I made a tutorial on how to do it then I would be over stepping some boundaries lol, I was merely stating a fact and stating that there are how to's that can be found on Google by anyone that proves this.

    I did not break any laws or rules with anything that I said, this is the last time I will say it, I am done with that and we are off topic so you need to stop concerning yourself with it biscuit.

    Back on topic, I wonder if mine will ship out this Friday, I know it's being assembled at the Texas plant, and I ordered mine on July 9th, I spoke with a rep last Friday and they said mine was in kitting.

My total time has been 23 days from order to delivery, assuming they actually manage to deliver it today... which it should as it arrived in spokane at 7:00 yesterday evening

    There isn't a manufacturing facility in Texas anymore (at least not for the portable LOB and especially not for AW).

    I hope you get your BEAST soon! :D Your gonna LOVE it....

    Opps - quality testing of the M17x took longer than expected so the system wasn't shipped by the end of today.

    No problems - at least it's progress - besides, i'd rather it was thoroughly tested than get sent a faulty system :)

    Correct me if I am wrong, but Dell's plant in Malaysia is the plant that assembles AW? Is there a Chinese plant just for AW? I thought the whole thing with shutting down AW facility in FL was to assemble AW on dell's . line.
    I need clarification...

    Almost all of Dell's portables that are bound for US customers are manufactured at APCC1 and APCC2 in Penang, Malaysia. I thought that the AW systems would be assembled there as well but Dell is using the Xiamen, China facility instead.

    The China facility is the sole, exclusive facility for the M17x apparently. European customers have their own facility that was in Limerick, Ireland but that closed down and Dell opened up a facility in Lodz, Poland. However, even EU customers are reporting that their machines are being manufactured in China as well.

    This explains the massive delays as there is only 1 facility (out of the 8 or 10 Dell has worldwide for each region) that is producing this system for the entire world. This means less vendors and suppliers as well for parts.
