*OFFICIAL* M17x Order Status Thread...

While I ordered mine 6 days before you, my 8 days of boxing are done, and I am also shipped. I guess there was just a delay on shipments while a pile of orders stacked up.

The fun isn't over yet, the tracking order I have is for an order from 2008 to some guy in New Jersey, obviously it has been completed. Hoping I can get that worked out soon.

 

I went to shipped today.and when i just logged in i saw "delivered" I was like ?! (i am not home) look closely.... it is a track number from december of '08 for a guy in PA
but i am shipped, sadly EDD on-line/phone still states 8/10 or 8/14 respectively

 

Haha mine was like that also at first. It showed a shipment in December of '08 as well that was going to Bronx, NY. It should update sometime today or tomorrow with the correct information.

 

That's good, I already sent an email about this issue, but this helps me feel better. I don't want RJOHNSON getting my laptop!

 

Wooohooo!!! Shipped!!! Just got the email, so Monday is the day!!! All I can say is Hot Damn, I am so excited!

 

Mine has finally gotten a tracking number!!! The number is still invalid and it still has a EDD of 8-13. Oh dear I hope that changes!

Thanks for the fuel to my hope fire in saying I will get it on Monday guys. Haha I do hope so. I am ready to tear through some laptopvideo2go drivers and OC this thing to the point of death!

Just kidding, I doubt it, but this chaos is annoying...

 

I am sure Fedex just reuses their tracking numbers after a set amount of time of it being delivered in the past. Otherwise I am sure they would be on tracking number 99999999999999999999999 by now. It should roll over with the proper information by Monday.

 

Yeah same issue except my tracking # just tells me "Not Found" for the moment.

 

I'm still in boxing, so I'm hoping it will go out next shipment.

 

they reuse tracking numbers, this should correct itself during its first scan

 

My order status says "Delivery Preparation" any idea how long it takes them to ship out from that status?

guys,

those that are showing deliveries in the past are due to tracking numbers being re-used.

it should reset after roughly 24hrs (or 1 working day)...

I've had tons of tracking numbers show, on the couriers site/systems as being years in the past...

I really can't complain so far. Especially since i went through AAFES. Just can't beat tax free and free shipping. With everyone getting ready for their new toys (including myself) it makes this mornings hangover seem less painful.

 

if everything goes right, i will be with you all in about 2 weeks. i'm looking at the 280m sli and the 1200p lcd and the 1333mhz ram. that's all i really need. but i may go with the 1066 ram and buy a real name brand ram but i don't think there's a difference between them right now.

You may want to look into the deal Sleey0 posted, sounds like the options you want may fall into that and be a good deal for ya. I priced differences using the normal way then buying a 9300 on ebay for like $520 iirc and the way he posted and differences were so slim that picking the 9300 from AW to me was the better deal so it would be covered.

 

when i added everything up and how much i'll make by thursday it will be 2150. but even at his deal i'm still short to get what i NEED lol. so i will have to wait some more and see what the best option.

dell said that i can't get the 280 sli separate and that i will have to buy it with it. and the deal, i showed them and asked to lower the cpu to the p8400 and give mt the 1920*1200 instead and they said no they can't do it.

 

I honestly am thinking about the sager right now because of the price. I can save about 400 dollars if I do everything right. but the stupid overclocking killls it.


I am going to email rjtech and eurucom about a gpu for the sager np9850 (280m gtx sli mxm3.0). what do you think.

i'm looking at two configs right now well 3.
stock dell plus 1200p lcd iand 1333 ram s 2000.

sleey0's deal is with the lcd and uppd ram is 2500

and the normal price is for 280m gtx sli and the 1200p lcd and the 1333ram is 2600

this doesn't include tax and shipping. and the student or epp discount which I hope coves it.

 

I just got an email on Saturday saying my M17x has shipped. Didn't realize Dell ships laptops on Saturdays, hopefully I get it by Wednesday.

 

I'm pretty sure they just say that, it doesn't really head out until monday (was the case for me).

 

Shipping labels are generated over the weekends and Fedex will pick it up, but it doesn't actually ship until Monday.

 

Well I live in Canada, and we get free shipping here, but it's only ground shipping, so if it ships on Monday, I should have it by Thursday or Friday then, and I can start doing some quality control examinations, and then some benchmarks.

 

there hasn't been many reviews..... I need to update mine with more benchmarks but i don't have acess to DSL alot so ...

hey all. after i ordered a dell xps m1730 (which was delayed due to lack of keyboards) it gave me time to stumble across this.. marvel of a laptop.. which i canceled the xps and ordered one of these guys instead.. i didnt get the most powerful of the lot but enough to last me a while until i have money to upgrade. i basically picked up a bonestock except for a 320gb HD.

i ordered it july 23rd and have an EDD of august 10th which was originally the 13th.

im looking around here and i noticed many people that have ordered around the same time did not wait nearly close to their EDD.. any input on when mine could be shipped? its been in the build stage since i first checked the 24th. i am currently in london until august 1st waiting it out but it sucks knowing updates occur around 9am back in the states while i have to wait til its 2 oclock here to see if there is an update

Seems that it will more than likely take ~2weeks from start to arrival.
However if you are getting it shipped to Europe I believe it has been taking those fellas much longer.

Edit: Also the supply of materials for the M17x seems to be becoming more numerous so I wouldn't be surprised for it to take even less time at this point. Dell always gives a worst case scenario EDD. Under promise and over deliver and what have you.

just called up dell to see whats up considering a lot of systems being shipped and mine has been in production build stage for 5 days... they said it takes 5 - 7 work days to build this laptop.. is this true? and are saturdays AND sundays considered work days?

really wish i could have this system by the time i get home saturday highly doubt it though

 

i was in build for 16 days, 4 days in boxing, and 2 more days in shipping back in june when i ordered mine.
