    it works with any remote control designed for vista or only dell or alienware remotes? i have a hp remote control from my old hp and doesnt work. maybe the remote control doesnt work though

    i JUST got my tracking number! they put it on express shipping i get it tomorrow at 3pm!!! but i wont be in jersey until saturday o_O :(

    Hmm... an off-topic question... my rep says it may take 15 days for my credit to return after they recieve the laptop... it'll most likely be much faster than that right?     Mine arrived yesterday - was scheduled for delivery between 8am and 12noon.

    at 12:00 on the dot i got a call from our exec. assistant letting me know that it was there now...talk about punctual or what...

    anyways, it's a BEAST!!! and DAMN it's lovely!!

    My first unit shipped from Nashville, TN. I live in California and chose the ground freight, it took over a week to get here. Having to return mine due to tech issues and a chassis problem. Alienware was happy to work with me to return my origianl and make a new order. Anyone looking to get one I can give you the extension of the guy that sold me mine and aided me in returning my original.

    I hope I am not misinterpreting what I have read, but if you do have 3-5 day shipping, you could get it on Saturday. I have had Fed Ex home deliver my original M17x on Saturday for what its worth. :)

    ***JUST VENTING***

    i love it...im still in "boxing" but according to a dell CSR my computer has left china and is enroute to the US....so in theory it should be in TN friday afternoon, saturday morning. i also enjoy when i call to try and get them to upgrade my shipping method to overnight, the CSRs tell me it cant be done....when I threaten to cancel my order, they say it cant be done (even though i have an email saying i can cancel due to the delay).


    ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!! WHY IS THIS TAKING SO LONG?!?!

    Boxing stage includes the time it takes for the lappy to be shuttled from china to your countries local dell shipping location which in your case would be the US. Once it arrives in the us and is sent to fedex then you will change to "Shipped"

    mine should be here saturday (I hope). but Alienware says tuesday, which would be bad because I'm leaving for a week on monday :(. Maybe I'll drive back home on tuesday just to pick it up, then drive all the way back. (90 miles drive to where I'm going)

    Now in some instances, during ground shipping, they will not update often. That does not mean anything. I went from showing it shipped from TN, then did not see anything for about a day then it just showed up at my door. Just to give you the heads up so you don't get concerned.
