We talked about Dectrader before. Reviews are rather old for DecTrader ad no one can vouch for them. Do you know some people who have dealt/ordered from them?

Have you installed it yet? Is it givin ya any trouble?
-
I wont have time to install it until some time next week provided I get my hands on the thermal compound I want to use. The CPU came with a syringe of Shin-Etsu MicroSi but since I have no idea which of their products is in the tube I'd rather postpone until I pick up some Arctic MX-3.
Given Mandrake's QX was batch# 5838B686 and the one I received is batch# 5838B685 I am very interested in seeing the results... -
Congrats Batboy.. Gl on the chip. I hope you get excellent results out of it.
-
Hopefully no stuttering...

ES chips have a GPS location device built-in so you might get a knock on your door from some black cloak-wearing Intel execs....
/sarcasm -
long flight to Oz for the men in black for one little processor))

Agreed, I've been using ES chips for years no problems. Some people prefer OEM/Retail chips and that's their call. Makes it easier to move premium chips. But with that being said, if you're wise about the ES chips and which samples are the best, you can save a bundle and get identical functionality.

NOTE: DECTRADER.COM is officially LEGIT!
FYI - My boy wanted a part upgrade for his laptop, so I decided to use the opportunity to give Dectrader a whirl with my "Pro consumer," Visa card and see if they are legitimate or not. I guess I'll be the guinea pig, since everytime I've had a problem with a shady seller or someone who delivered less than adequate goods and opted to not do the right thing felt the wrath of their consumer protection.
Ordered CPU on 8/27 via automated system.
-I went with UPS Air 1-2 day ($29 for UPS Air 1-2 day, $12 for Ground)
Order confirmed 8/27 (They call it 'Processed") with email confirmation
Funds confirmed as captured 8/27
I sent an online form email to ask about the system today 8/29
Order confirmation / completed email sent 8/30 with tracking info
- Package is due for delivery Monday 8/31
Package arrived today 8/31 @ 10:30AM. They are re distributors for HP parts as the part
was directly shipped from HP Parts.
That is also why their backorder status for QX9300 OEM's is roughly the same as HP Parts store.
So you can get the QX9300 OEM SLB5J from Dectrader.com @ $474 + $12 Ground or $29 Air
and save even more coin than going with HP since you also avoid sales tax (Unless you're in
California).
Enjoy!(Don't be ashamed to rep....I won't be mad)

If this works for you, then I'm gonna do the same since it's a bit cheaper than directly from HP
-
I'll end up doing it too.
-
Why are they listing the same thing for $2000+?
Must be some expensive thermal paste. -
electrosoft Perpetualist Matrixist
Either way, it's good to know Dectrader.com is legitimate and not a scam and is for real for the occasional alternative source of parts.
-
Okay I'm totally ordering that.
-
wow will be ordering a couple myself!!
-
You can buy one from Dell for $2,000!
Wonder why the low price? -
Holy f***... if I had a system capable of utilizing that, I would so jump on that...
-
I bet you they will fix that price real fast... the Q9000 is listed for over a hundred more from the same company... Someone just made a big typo.
-
-
Brah,
You'll find that same generic quote on any site that sell's goods.
There have been quite a few orders thru HP and they haven't changed the price so far. -
Yeah but that price is obviously a glaring mistake on their part... I'm sure they'll catch it once the orders start going through. I bet you the 2 was supposed to be a 5.
-
Have anyone oredered the qx9300 cpu for $288?
-
i ordered 2 of them but have recieved nothing from them no emails or anything for it yet. just the first your order has been placed .... im 100% these will not ship though but worth a shot
-
Yes, I already received a confirmation e-mail about it but we won't know for sure if this thing is going to ship until about Wednesday.
They haven't taken money out of my account yet. -
I hope that price is right!
-
Oh my god if these actually ship then I'll be so happy.
-
could be intel saw no market for these at the retail pricing and they were just sitting around. so maybe they are trying to move them out before the next gen chips come around.. very possible i know no way i would have bought one for over 1200$
-
zfactor will you let me know whether or not that avadrive is legit?
im interested in buying 1 for my m17x -
I think I may drop down the cash if your orders go through... I don't see myself finding a better deal.

-
electrosoft Perpetualist Matrixist
Yeah, no shock there. $288 is beyond insane.
-
A little late the M17x game but saw this thread. Whats the latest here, HP stop shipping these CPUS or can i still score one for 500 USD?
-
I've found one on ebay from Cork, Ireland for 380 Euros.. I'm sure it's off a stolen laptop heh..
Would be great to hear how people are getting their QX9300s right now -
I've heard others still buying from HP recently.
-
I confirmed with HP 3 days ago that these are still available for ~$500
-
Rengsey R. H. Jr. I Never Slept
i'll be receiving my QX9300 tommorrow from HP.
-
Oh interesting, great I want to do the same. Won't be in the USA until December.. Can you please tell me how you're ordering? Do you call hp with the right part number? I have two part numbers at the moment but both come up as 995 usd out of stock .. Any guidance would be great so I can get my order in :/)
-
You can either call or order online with this part number 507946-001.
