No point, you'll have to sell her car to afford one of those systems with 480M SLI ;)

Haha, she's not getting one of those! I'm talking about the speculated M11x refresh! :p Neither one of us need a 480m SLi laptop, haha. My main desktop would eat that thing. I just need something portable and for school, and so does she.

Leaving eurocom's credibility aside, they charge almost 1000USD for 480m SLI.

It was about time an E3 thread would be created.

Waiting for iX M11x here. And I'm sure we will see single 480M configuration on the M17x.

I hope if there is a new model it's just a redesigned M17x. 20" notebooks are not practical and are kinda lame.

no more lame than an 11 inch laptop that runs games at 30FPS...I'd rather have size and power then lightweight and weak.

I'd rather have a 17" that has the same power as the 20". There is nothing really to set a 20" apart from a 17" except the screen, and the fact that it would be harder to fit in a back pack.

20" notebook would be too big to fit into any laptop bag, and way too heavy and bulky to take anywhere. At that point your probably better off getting a desktop.

They aren't going to come out with a 20 inch. All their gear is made for the 15 and 17 inch platforms and on top of that, are quite popular. It wouldn't make any sense.

    But, the alienware phone...yeshhh please.

The XPS M2010.... It is a MASSIVE piece of disgusting waste. My boss just traded it in on his third warranty issue for an m17x r2. That said, a m19x could work really well if it was designed to play into the bonuses of having a larger screen while slimming the entire device's thickness by slightly spreading out the internals. But yeah, I doubt they'd go for it.

Also, there are a few nineteen inch laptop backpacks and bags. It'd be snug, and it's likely to be slightly (a pound at most) heavier than the m17x, but I know I'd sure love to go for it over the seventeen inch one.

Still... It would be pretty cool if they updated the 19in. Though i suppose if not than a revision of the m17x is okay too.

Think we'll see an m13x is the future?

The M17X is truly the perfect size though I would not mind them thinning the edges of the screen. I mean do we really need an in of useless black cover around the edge of the screen? How hard would it be to make the screen really edge to edge of the PC frame???

I am starting to think that they will announce at E3, USB 3.0 and other cool things for the M17X.

Well i hope they don't completely redesign the M17x. I don't want mine to be discontinued right after I bought. Hopefully it is only USB 3.0 and the 480m's in sli, then I won't feel as bad. LoL

Imo, I dont think it will be anything substantial. The m17x as it is now can handle whatever you want to throw at it (with the right upgrades of course).

What you (your imagination) mean by "special edition"? I will be more than glad if they include in it a special contract with the consumers to LISTEN to them and their experience "in vitro"... (and, of course, to act accordingly and consistently)... Or I'm asking for too much?

Carbon fiber would be amazing but I think it would drive the cost of the PC way up. Stronger than steel and lighter than aluminium carbon fiber would be the way to go...

Totally tested before shipping... I think that will just never happen.

    Hello Joebarchuck!
Prices of carbon fiber has drop sustantially and constantly in the last 10 years. New techonlogies and processes are in charge of the reduction in costs.
Reagarding totally testing before shipping... I have been in industries where they sell much cheaper devices and they run authomatic testings for hours (in some cases even days!) with different real situations before shipping... This is part of an ISO well difined and realible processes.
