That's lame. The Abyssus? All the reseller pages advertise with pictures of the Copperhead. 3 buttom gaming mouse... I haven't used a 3 button gaming mouse in 10 years. I didn't know there was such a thing. Good thing my MS Habu and Logitech MX518 still work, maybe the g/f will want the Abyssus.

I used my iPhone. You said you have an iPhone, right? All you have to do is quickly (and simultaneously) tap the home + sleep/wake button once. It takes a quick snapshot of whatever is on the screen. Then it is stored with the rest of your pics.

Man, the 2-button "gaming" mouse kills the fact that it even comes with one.

Probably a cheaper mouse due to cheaper price, the W90 came with the copperhead and i never took it out of the box. I use my G7 wireless.

I think this is the first gaming laptop so far under the $2000 mark and im sure they had to decide what is priority for a mainstream gaming laptop.

    > Good CPU
    > Good Screen
    > Good GPU
    > Good Price

Then cut all the unneeded stuff to get that price down for the average person. I think it was a smart move, even in just the few post above you can see most of us already have a mouse that we like and probably prefer to the one that is included even if it was the nicer copperhead.

I look forward to seeing my first LED backlite screen, but its still looks like a mirror in pictures. I miss that semi glossy coating the C90 screen used.

Just how it feels on my hands. My friend has the Abyssus and I didn't like the feel to it compared to the DeathAdder or Mamba. But I guess it boils down to personal touches in the end.

True, i've just read the specifications on razer's site and they look very very nice, but only 3 buttons?

Response time and tracking precision won't be a problem with this mouse, but it lacks "functionality".

    huge differences

i have a friend with the copperhead and the abyssus; both of these are ambidextrous... I have the deathadder which isn't... i will be using it till it takes a dump on me then i will probably buy another one lol... i don't like the feel of an ambidextrous mouse... the abyssus in mine will be for sale as soon as it gets here lol

in the end its all about the feel you prefer... certain things make a mouse higher quality and more suited for gaming but in the end its feel that makes a mouse good for the individual

True, but the Asus G1 used to come with the Logitech MX518 which is a fantastic, durable gaming mouse. Too bad they opted for cheap.

Well, the laptop is cheap as well.

You can always pay extra and get one on a electronics store ;)

This will be a huge improvement for me, always played with a touchpad (yes, even UT99 online).

Holy crap! FPS with a touchpad? :(

I have a friend that plays World of Warcraft with a trackball. While not a FPS game, PVP is still interesting to watch when he's using that thing.

Naw I have the MS Habu which is essentially a DeathAdder using Razer Laser tech instead of optical, with on the fly sensitivity buttons (so IMO better).

Knew someone who played WoW with touchpad also, but then she was terrible, healer too. Just bad...but her voice is cute, we should let her wipe the raid over and over, it's worth it! The gamble when playing games with pubescent high school morons.

1.5 hours til 12, so hopefully soon.

Thanks in advance to Quadzilla (and anyone else) feeding us info during this life impacting moment.

No way the shipments are coming in today in NoVa/DC area ;( Its still coming down!!! It's like I fell asleep in CO and just woke in Alaska.

I would suggest those brave enough to drive in this call the shipping company to see if they could pick it up from the warehouse. But I can't imagine the overnight mail flights came in anyways...

Mouse doesn't suck, but it wasn't the mouse we were expecting.
Targus backpack is quiet good, but honestly buying from US just to get the mouse and backpack is not a good idea.

Don't buy it in the States if they're the same price or so. Just get a mouse and bag of your liking instead. Accessories aren't a huge issue, and can always be changed later down the road.

Targus makes good backpacks. Backpacks made for notebooks are awesome, I love the one that came with the G1, made transporting it to work/school a breeze and kept it from getting scratches and marks.
    - FYI a Targus backpack for 17" notebooks is a $100 upgrade from Alienware, so significant.

AHHHHH! Totally posted on that forum, lol. Nothing much better to do other than homework and watch this snow fall.

I haven't preordered it (shame on me), but I blame the college student budget. Once tax refunds and student refunds come back, HELLLLOOOOOOO NURSE!

How about that backpack by Astro Gaming? The guys who do the A40 Headsets? Those are beast bags. My first experience with a 17" has taught me that these things need lots of room and lots of padding.
