Im doing a run now with Twin turbo...

Hw monitor temps on the CPU after the 06 run were 65 max on the CPU....

Machine is whisper quiet so far ...

 

So that was in normal mode? Nice

 

I just HADDDD to check in before I went to sleep... Now I gotta stay up to see the turbo mark...

This is so exciting! I still haven't ordered. Wanted to see the reviews. For my Inspirion E1705/9400, I had to build a special tray to be able to have it on my lap, and even with cooling, dell has had to replace my video card due to it frying.

I'd love to see temp readings after a period of heavy use. Have actually burned myself on a couple laptops. Not fun.

Seeing new benchmarks and pictures is really awesome!

Hello all. Been reading through this epic thread for awhile now, so now that Quadzilla's got his, I thought I'd join in.

I know this thing isn't supposed to have an expresscard slot, but I've heard conflicting info on that, and now that Quad's got the first official release model, I was wondering if it might actually have one. I'm trying to put together a mobile video capture station, and while I could live without dedicated E-sata and Firewire, having an expresscard is mandatory. I've pretty much lost hope about it, but hey, it doesn't hurt to ask.

Yes, I realized that a month ago when people were expecting the same design of G72 but the laptop ended up looking totally different.
Everything is new compared to the last G70 series! I can't wait to get this laptop in my hands!

 

Hmm. How much does it cost to buy it from United States?
And mouse&backpack do not suck, it's just that people were expecting alot more than Abyssus.
Targus are well known to make good backpacks so I'm not worried about that.

Twin turbo mode was actually a couple points slower lol.. Note it says 1707mhz so its very close to the 820 ....

Theres a fair bit of bloatware on this machine so its hard to say if something interrupted that second run of 06....


CPU temp hit 70 btw on the second run of 06... I have my machine on just a lap desk and its sitting flat...

They started shipping on Friday. Customized models will start shipping around middle week. Our G73 Video is rendering and should finally upload to YouTube later this afternoon.

torch it got an 8000 on 3dmark vantage. (gpu = 7435 and cpu = 10362)
