is it just me or is anyone else curious about the backpack that comes with it. For one, it looked really cool and less flashy then the old ROG bags, but also, as we have seen with the mouse. They are not sticking too closely to the picture.
HP Voodoo Mouse == Razer Abyssus
    Awesome Bag == .........
pics please(ill settle for iphone snaps)

The bag is another reason I'm interested in this laptop. (Aside from the mouse.)

It's either this + ROG backpack = perfect match or
ASUS G51JX + ROG backpack = perfect match.

So far the mouse is a letdown for me. MMORPG + no thumb button(s) = fail.

And I don't want a generic Targus or Swiss Gear. I want one that ASUS has specifically matched up with their notebook.

The German version from amazon.de DOES have Bluetooth, too! It's an typing error of the webpage. There are no accessoires, indeed, But I preordered mine from them, it might be $200 cheaper from the US (shipping ought to be 140$, not 450$ as you mentioned), but I prefer the German keyboard without the hassle of changing it, And I wouldn't even know where. Besides, warranty issues might be easier.

when I first saw the Toshiba I panicked thinking that the inside was actually glossy... untill I read the little AMD sticker,
I really need to stop and actually read the contents of the posts sometime... if any of you could upload pictures of the bag, that would be great... :)

Hmm, if I am in the shipment next week I may have to get it overnighted :D Thanks for all the pics and info so far to everyone that has received one. I can't wait to see how high the GPU will OC stable, 30fps in Crysis on High steady would be nice. Keep it coming!

Hello everyone! i have read pretty much all 552 pages of this thread (so far xD) and I really want this lappy. I do not have enough money yet... but wish me luck! Anyway.. I would greatly appreciate videos of this laptop that include the mouse and bag as well as (of course) the laptop with games and heavy threaded applications. Thank you and it is an honor to join the forum.

About what I was expecting, very very similar score to a stock 5750. I think 2 of those in crossfire, with some overclocking will turn out very very nicely, as the desktop cards hit 5850 performance regions :)
Quad, can you run the test again with the settings at Extreme or Extreme settings at 1080p (4xAA, 16xAF, Extreme settings), for comparison purposes?

The DX10 Crysis results are actually very good for a mobile card.

    For those wondering about ram.
It is 4 X 2 GB @ 1333 Mhz. There are 3 reachable slots. One is underneath can't reach, but I confirm it is the same as the other three.

Good call. I saw the "SUBWOOFER" label on the bottom of the case, which I forgot about, and wondered the same thing. They've gotta sound pretty good.

Quite a bit better. About 25% faster so far from the looks of it, either way we need to see more extensive benchmarks.
A single GTX280m would expect to hit about 5000-5500 in Vantage, this has hit 7450, SLI GTX280 only hits about 10k, so this is 3/4 of the speed of the dual card setup.
That Crysis result is also pretty decent for a single laptop card, as DX10 mode slows everything down, even with high settings.

Total lack thereof. Disappointing. Needed for gaming or not is irrelevant. Gamers normally want all they can get, regardless if they'll use it. I guess ASUS realized they probably won't use it, and left it out.
