Thank you for all the benchmarks, videos and reviews. It is much appreciated.

Also thanks Ken for your efforts. -
... Maybe you should read.
-
Im working on some in game pics and benchmarks of games so when im done ill post them up....
-
Stock on a I7-720
-
After 4 years of using a 15.6" screen this 17.3" is a godsend
-
Awesome Quadzilla.
-
cheers, I assumed that, but never actually saw it linked with a video, per say.
-
No tweaking at all, it was tested with stock drivers and hardwares.

Far Cry 2 on sale for $14.99 on Steam this weekend. I'm all over that. Hoping they add Borderlands to that. Got a few friends who refuse to pay full price for games, so gotta wait for these sales for a co-op game, lols.
I'm installing FEAR 2. Will check out Crysis Warhead later tonight. Had fun with one round of Killing Floor. -
Waiting to see some temps and status on how good the cooling system is.
-
Finally, there is more information about this anticipated laptop.
Thank you for uploading! -
From what Justin@XoticPC posted cooling system is outstanding, I think max temp was around 73C.
-
Youtube video uploading right now, it's about 80% completed.
Also the BIOS of G73Jh doesn't seem to have RAID option:
-
Awesome!! Thx
-
lol subwoofers? That's a bit unnecesary isn't it? It's not like you're gonna take this bad boy out to a drag race and blast 50 cent...
-
Good to know that you can, though. ^__^
-
I thought everyone was going to do that... you won't? -
GenTECH video is up:

And gamers typically use headphones for ventrilo or mumble...I'm just confused as to why they added the subwoofer. I mean it's nice don't get me wrong but I'm pretty sure the sub in my car is better- to me that's something for media enthusiasts rather than gaming enthusiasts...

-
Yes but no HD quality yet since Youtube is still processing the video.
-
I've been wondering for a while now, and having lurked these forums fairly diligently for the past month or so, I'm pretty sure that no one has addressed this...
Why does the lid of the G73JH not quite meet flush with the rest of the notebook (well, only at the end part) when the screen is down? Is this some sort of purposeful design technique?
?

^This video made me think it'd be REALLY black. Gentech's vid. made it look kinda grey/black. Was that just youtube being retarded? -
to make it comfortable for fps gamers.
you should lurk around more, this was explained in CES
-
True but i saw it when there were 0 views, only a few minutes later and it's almost up to 100!

The subwoofer completes the full spectrum of music. It really is just as simple as removing the sub from your car. For those of you with a system, pull the RCA's from your amp, and you'll notice a big difference. It's the same with this G73, but on a much smaller scale. Why do people want headphones that can reproduce 60hz and below? Because they want to hear the audio as close to how the artist created it.
It's certainly not a gimmick. The subwoofer in this machine works well enough to make the audio sound good enough to lose the headphones. -
Guess they just can't wait for HD quality, LOL.
-
Thanks for these updates, Ken. You're always a great help
-
I think it's different lighting so that would make it look different.
-
Ken pls check your inbox
-
How does the weight of the laptop feel? I'm guessing it's something you would rather not have on your lap while sitting/laying down.
-
Gotcha :] Will redouble my lurking zealousness XD
Btw, this is really OT,but I've been itching to know...
kim, are the pictures you use for your avatar of yourself, or are they pix of other people floating on the net? Cuz if they are of yourself... then I never knew that computer nerds could look so good XD -
True but my headphones are REALLY good because I'm used to laptops with crappy sound and I think most people, especially gamers, won't exactly HAVE to have this feature.
-
Nice insult/flattery combo there!
EDIT: OMG double post -
Awesome that was a big concern for me.

Aaaargh! Xoticpc review is up! But only the second part LOL! I need the first first...first...well you get the picture.
-
I dont think so because none of the customized machines shipped yet....Last edited by a moderator: Jan 29, 2015 -
LOL well I didn't mean it that way at all... It's just that every time I see kim's posts I just couldn't help gawking at his/her avatar... XP Err... I'll keep that in mind for next time, though. XD
BUT ANYWAY
I was wondering, would arcade emulators run @100% speed on this beast? Namely, Blazblue: Continuum Shift? I've run it on a few computers, and it seems a core2duo @2.8 with a gt210 can run it perfectly... the G73JH would definitely be able to outdo that, right? -
nope. that's why I was delayed.
-
I only see a PART 2 for some reason.
-
Justin@XoticPC Company Representative
Part 1 should be up any minute.
-
Yup, pretty sure. If a gt210 can do it, a 5870 can do it fosho. Although it does depend on how large the screen is...fairly certain it'll run well though
-
Welp, just ordered one from Xotic. Can't wait!
-
Awesome...Also send my machine
