looks overclocked to me
661 core
850 memory
the cpu is @ 3.3Ghz which would absolutely demolish an i7 720QM
-
Hmm...
1. Vantage is strictly DX10, and
2. Vantage was used to benchmark a DX11 part (i.e., the Mobility Radeon 5870)??? -

all i need is a mobile 720QM vantage cpu score -

with the whitebook and the 3870x2 pumping clock speeds from a quad will not increase your gpu score. now if you pumped a dual core. (and i mean break 3.5ghz or higher) you will see an increase in the gpu score. compared to the 48series. not sure about the 58series.

just found out i7 scores almost double what core 2 quads in vantage (never used it more than once because the benchmark sucks as it is)

Would these data be reasonable for comparison?
http://www.notebookforums.com/3DMark Vantage-laptop-benchmarks.html -
with 10K for mobility 4870s i guess 7.26k isnt that bad
mobility 5870 isnt as fast as id hoped -
AsusG51Vx NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260M 3DMark Vantage 4,230 without overclocking!
G73 +7k not bad even if it was overclocked -
A little late to the party...
This new lappy looks sweet. I might have to add this to my shopping list -
!! go ahead!!
-
i dont see how the 5870 is 1600SP/256-bit GDDR5 -

I think a lot of us here died a little inside from seeing that =P they have have FALSE information.
-
Maybe we expected too much? I can't believe release date is delayed though.
-
What is the real information? Maybe we actually have to wait to find out, and hold out... -
10chars.. -
2nd Quarter!!!

Can resellers please confirm!! -
Anyone know this for certain and have actual evidence? -

From the screenshots I've seen, it looks almost like an Alienware crossed with a Clevo. I the dual fans finally get temperatures under control.

Where did Q2 come from?
What I said was it has been pushed back to February, not Q2. -
Let me quote
" Priced at $1,700, the G73Jh will be available early second quarter of this year, according to Asus."
Right there
So...glad I dident go on all the hype.... -

Hmmm, the press is not my favorite source for accurate information.

...not to say they could/would not push it back again tomorrow, that is just the most current information he has. -
yea plus the article has Apple and awesome in the same sentence, so really can't trust it
-
-
Just a note, Donald's only here to help. If he does have any information that happens to be inaccurate, I'm sure he didn't mean to provide incorrect information.
Perhaps it might wind up like the w90? With only a trickle at first? -

phew.... -

note the resolution stated for the vantage run. -
ATI is on a roll and it would be not the greatest move to shove a 128 bit into their high end card
-
No need to jump on anyone, reseller or user. -
Stop the hate-child...we all want shiny things, and The Donald was just sharing the information he was updated with. For all we really know, this laptop may be a myth. Until you hold it in your hand, I would remain a skeptic, and keep your pre-order money in your pocket.
My pre-order has been placed and will remain that way.
