    22nd January?!?!?!?

That sounds like wooping good news for all of us in the US. I'm pretty sure it'll arrive at the resellers in the US before or atleast on the date its supposed to hit europe. I just hope its not like a BestBuy version with lower specs and a lower res screen? Can you confirm this? Are ths specs the same?

And as for the price, you're prolly better off ordering from the US; even considering delivery fee. Idk, about duty though, although it cannot get that insane. 2200 euros is just, yikes....

Yeah, it'll cost around 1200 euros with shipping from Gentech (not including tax) so you'd save a huge sum by ordering from the US - it's what I'm doing

The price in the Netherlands is confirmed by the site tweakers.

The say the price in euro will start at 1950 euro, with same specs as you have in your pre-order. That will be true, since 1650 dollar = 1200 euro + 5% inport + 19% tax :( They also say that it will have less expansive version but then with a slower cpu/gpu.

Also the site tweakers is telling that it will have a NEW 15.6" little sister, with a price of 1700 euro, with a screen with 1366x768 pixels.

22 January is inline with the original target of the 3rd week of January 2010.

Also, the Europeans are slammed with a crazy VAT tax, which I believe is at 19%.

    :)

Even then - 2200 Euros up from 1200 if I shipped the same model in from the US is NOT a 25% increase. Us Europeans really get screwed over when it comes to the pricing of new tech...

First, I wanna thank iaTa for everything he has done.

Next time, I'd like to see some GPU benchmarks, like 3dMark06. ^^'

Probably here, in Italy, we'll have the same problem. I'd prefer to buy it from Italy, but it will be hella overpriced for sure.

I know I can order it from US and save money... but what about the warranty? What would I do in case some problems occour?

Oh, and another thing, american and italian keyboards are different, is it possible to order an italian keyboard from an american reseller?

Uhm... the keyboard really is a problem.

Here in italy we use accented characters, like òàùèéì and so on... from what I know, american keyboards don't have them. Sure, I could set an italian keyboard in Win7, but it would suck to have a keyboard that types something different from what the keys show. I hope you can understand what I'm meaning. ;)

    Source: http://tweakers.mobi/nieuws/64781

Translated: the G73JH-A1 will come as basic model with i3 or i5, and with those processors at only has 4GB memory. I think that will be the starters model.

Does ASUS pay shipping for both ways, or just one way?
And also, I think the 1 year accidental damage warranty is only for people in North America. ASUS 360 2-year warranty, as you said is definitely global though.

In US at least, the shipping is both ways.
