now ur reply makes more sense..

bloody hell nvidia, release your bloody 460m, and rid us of your marketing bull crap stupidity!
-
Yeh, it is true that ati has mentionned that they would release drivers to fix the problem if asus asked, so asus is also to blame for the 5870 screw ups.
-
-
Anyways, if you preffer Nvidia then just remain patient. It will be a good competitor for the HD5870 and only 2 or so months.
I couldn't wait nor I like nVidia any more than ATi haha. -
Don't worry, I don't remember Asus having much problems with nvidia cards save for a bit running in the hot side- but thats due to their cooling solution. -
I like nvidia just because of how I never had any problems with them. I'm sure the Ati would do the job quite well, and the G73jh is an awsome piece of awesomeness, but I'll hold out another month or so, and go with the simpleness of nvidia, even if it is less performing than the current gpu.
-
-
-
That all depends on the laptops cooling system.
Other laptops that do have 5870 keep temps under control. -
There's nothing left to speculate about... Only thing we need now is a release date from nvidia.
-
Im still very intrigued by this system, but it is frustrating when you try to find pics or hands on impressions come up with 100 sites just linking to the endgadged 'demo' unit.
Hopefully the wait wont be too much longer - like a few other people in this thread my decision is down to the g53 and 1 or 2 other models. -
-
Same here. The MSI 660 is starting to look mighty good. But I'm still convinced on getting the G73jw. It just packs too much a punch, and as terrible as it sounds, I want the looks of that laptop, and that may be the only thing that's stopping me from getting the 660
-
-
-
its like a girl with an amazing personality but doesn't do so well on the looks department
-
Lol XD!! Epic win. And so true
-
While it's no G53 the MSI 660 is not the worst styled laptop, admittedly the lights don't do anything for me but it has it's own character.
I compare it to the funny looking kid that is the fastest and the best athelete on the block -
Well, my last two computers have been asus machines and have help up really well. Waiting another month or two wont kill me, and hopefully RK/Xotic will give us some hands on impressions as soon as they get their hands on a unit.
-
Lol, the lights don't impress me at all...
-
Me neither but at least they can be shut off, it's not a deal breaker for me.
-
Yes, the system (the msi 660) looks much more demure with the lights off and didn't look bad from the review. I had written it off based on the stock photos but seeing video made me think twice. Still more excited for the g53 at the moment - and after all the problems I've had with the 3 envy's I've sent back I'm looking forward to something with a decent build quality.
-
Lol. I finaly find the perfect thing for me, perfect everything. Only problem is it's going to get released... Ummm... Yeh...
-
I am p!ss drunk right now!!! And somehow I'm still reading this post for information!!!
-
-
-
Wake me up when we get any substantial news on a release date
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz -
alright btotech has this information on their website
asus notebooks gaming laptops msi barebones notebook bto laptop custom gaming computer - Customize System
When you click on customize "G53JW", It says
"Asus G53Jw-A1 with nVidia 460m will be up for sale / pre order septermber 1 " -
If this is true......
I'm doing my happy dance -
I hope it is. Asus really is going to miss out of the back to school sales. Nvidia did say that they wanted to release the 460m before school, so I wouldn't be surprised at all if this 1st septembre preorder is true. And the website is btotech, too. Small problem tho, the G73jw is not up for sale, and the G73jw is due shortly before the G53... Seems odd
-
Nothing against BTOtech but I won't beleive it until I can actually order or at least pre-order.
Even if you can just pre-order Sept. 1 it doesn't mean the laptops will ship soon, we still might have to wait a while. -
I'm still expecting that they'll only start shipping in end of septembre, early October, even if there up for preorder, seeing as more sources point there. I'm guessing that they'll be long preorders. The G53 will only get released after the G73, so until I hear about the G73, I'll be skeptical of a release date before the ETA.
-
Yeah, don't hold your breath on early september release. The more accurate date will be end of september.
It's not that much to wait, don't worry. Just don't lurk around too much and keep yourself busy, thats the best thing to do to let time do its thing.
The real reasons I went with the MSI instead of the G3?
1) The sound in my G51 made me cry every night
2) I start working on monday on a new job and I had already sold my machine for an excellent price
Really, at this point, even my 260m was good enough, so getting either the 460m or the radeon 5870 would have been the same for me.
So yeah, it is better to wait at this point because the major differences between machines are up to personal prefference, and there is no use to shove other machines on to you. I dont think one is better than the other, both are awesome machines. -
What does this properly mean that Nvidia Will remove NDA at Sep1 so they can start taking preorders with the official full spec
So yeah this mean nothingG53 is a myth
-
-
-
-
Weren't the sites taking out the laptops until nvidia officially announce it's 460m cards?
-
-
So the 460m is getting released?
-
they need a g33
-
I can see it now, it would be 13 inches wide but 6 inches deep at the back.
-
So much coverage on the G53jw, so little said about the G73jw...
-
Been watching your thread for a while and thought I would give you some updated info from france you may like on the G73jw & G53jw...
The newly launched ASUS laptop G73JW and G53 are here with GTX 460 1.5GB - AnandTech Forums
Don't hate because I'm French.. -
-
I can't wait for this thing. I currently have an asus g73-a2 with a broken gcard and i returning it and waiting for the g53. Im pretty sure that Asus will have less problems with the Nvidia cards. I hate ati now. I gotten 2 broken cards. One in a sony and now this asus. Hopefully the g53 will be my last computer and i wont have to return it like the 1 i have now and the sony.
-
Lol, I'm French (Canadian) too...it seems that there's alot more information on these things in Europe than there is in N.A.
-
Doesnt matter if more is coming from Europe. Asus hasn't said what the specs!!
-
Yea...Don't make sense but the more we all know the better. Glad we all can collaborate on the subject and know what's up..
