Guess that means GenTech and Portable One are also off the list. If I recall, PowerNotebooks is in Nevada so that might work for you. I do not have any first hand experience with them so you may ask the forum.

    Cheers :)

I don't know too much about these resellers. Xoticpc and such. My 13 year old desktop just crapped out on me. I want something I can take with me. I want a powerhouse. GTX 675m lots of RAM and a good CPU with a nice screen and keyboard. Suggestions?

I don't think you'll be able to get anything higher than a GTX670 from an Asus Gxx (for a while anyways). I'd look into Samsungs gamer laptops they will have a GTX675.

I just emailed them and they said the G55 will be listed for preorder shortly :)

Never purchased anything from Xoticpc but I think they only carry Asus, MSI, and Sager laptops. If your still going to get an Asus my buddy just purchased a laptop from Gentechpc. Fast, simple, and everything works fine.

While the Samsung series 7 gamer has very nice features and hardware, I've heard that the overall build quality seems to be a little disappointing.

Thanks for the reference, the MALIBAL website, is it legit? What is this SATORI laptops? I never heard of them. I was planning to get the ASUS but I realized they dont have a GTX 675M so thats a deal breaker for me. I was gonna buy SAGER from Xoticpc or powernotebooks. MALIBAL seems cheaper but I dont know a thing about this SATORI laptops... this is all they have. Suggestions?

Satori is just their rebranding of the Sager/Clevo barebones. It's the same exact thing as the Sagers/Clevos [P150em, P151em, P170em etc.]. Some resellers make minor adjustments to differentiate themselves from the competition/add a little style to the very minimalistic design. Check out Origin Pc's version for example.

EON15-S Custom Gaming Laptop Product Details and Features | ORIGIN PC

It's still the same exact hardware though; check the fans/ports in the back.

I think so far MALIBAL gives the best discount on laptop for the built I want. I dont get this "ONLY ACTIVE MILITARY" Why not veterans? We already served our time already, geez.

Origin laptop looks slick but too expensive for my blood. I'm looking at GTX 675M for $1500 max.

    Xiotic is about $1480
    powernotebook $1470
MALIBAL $1400 (If they allow military veteran discount).

    Any other cheaper places? =)

    Thanks for that info! :D

I was about to get the malibal, but first off... i recomend going to the sager/clevo thread, since there you will probably get more info, and 2nd so we dont offtopic here.

When i checked prices, Malibal offered a great build/warranty/discounts/ etc
    and the price was good.
Altough, if you have 100 more to spend i would put the 95% gammut screen.

What are you planning to get Wee? I think we're both looking for a similar laptops. I MUST get a GTX 675M lol. Budget is $1500 Max.

I really like ASUS 74 series. I was really hoping ASUS G75 was going to have GTX 675M but only GTX 670M. The benchmark between those is huge, I believe it's about 30%? Anyhow, $100+ for upgrading from 670M to 675M is a slick deal imo.

Why is the gammut screen so good? I normally dont even bother changing the screen.

Which sager/clevo were you looking at, and what website?

Another question, as a previous ASUS G74 owner (being my 2nd game laptop) I was totally blown away how well built it was and how it felt. Design was slick, all the parts were tightly constructed, just an overall well built machine. Esp the cooling and the noise.

I'm looking at SAGER NP7190 or the Malibal's Satori P170EM (because they have GTX 675M option) I have no experience with these machine... how do they feel? DO they feel solid like the ASUS G74? Loose? cheap? Any details will be greatly appreciated.

I would totally be sold if ASUS G75 had a 675M option... even for $100-$150 more... =(

I was going for a Malibal Lotus (i want 15" just for the small size) and 670m
    128 sdd
    12 or 16 GB
    something like that.

but i belive ill go for asus g55sw or similar...
I love asus style, and also, i cant use the warranty here in arg.
Im about the same budget 1500USD

About the screen, the gamut is the "amount" of color it can represent, wich, for me(i do some lightroom/aftereffects/photoshop) its something important.

If i decided for a sager/clevo, i would buy it at Malibal, but thats just me, i never used xotic, gentech, malibal, or others...

About the sager, check the cooling thing... i read in the forums, they have some cooling problems, but on the 15" one, and nothing is confirmed yet i believe.

G73/74 are the most silent gaming laptops. My laptop at idle or when just browsing is so quiet that I barely hear it.Clevo or MSi are vacum cleaners compare to G series.I don't care if gaming laptop is loud during games (it's normal) but for me must be quiet when browsing or light computing.

I would love to buy new model but 675 is a must for me.

I am trying to squeak as much info from resellers as I can, but do we know if the G55 is accosiated with the April 29th NDA from intel? Ie: are these labtops going to be available for order on that date?

I totally agree with you on the build quality of ASUS G series.

P150EM is around $1700 in OZ, I wonder what's the pricing of G75&G55 would be.

Detail review of P150EM is here:
Review Schenker XMG P502 PRO (Clevo P150EM) Notebook - Notebookcheck.net Reviews

I would definitely go for a G55 if the graphics is 675M....

according to Custom Laptops by PowerNotebooks.com™ - Custom Built Gaming Laptop Computers dimensions for G55 is 15.4"x 11" x 2" while the dimensions for the G75 is 16.5" x 13" x 2.5" meaning G55 is thinner. However based off the picture gallery, (and I'm saying this by estimation of laptop thickness based on the VGA port size) the G75 looks much thinner compared to the G55. Anyone knows which is true? thanks

Shame they wont have an AMD 7970M option. If the rumors are all true, they could meet the TDP in a G75 and offer quite an improvement over the 670M.

One of my friend was telling me that Sager is Malibal laptops are really loud esp if I'm going for the 675M card. Comparing to ASUS G74, what are your guy's input on that? I never owned a sager/malibal laptops.

I have to admit, i love the asus's built. Its so solid and slick looking. Keeps everything quiet and cool. How does it compare to sager and satori malibal?

Kammander, i dont want to be rude or anything, i have to repeat that, for questions regarding Sager/Clevo, you shold ask them on their subforum.
Ill answer this last question, but i wont be answering more, since i feel im going off topic, and creating bulk on the ASUS _T_ where only asus stuff should be talked abuot.

Depends on the model, as i heard 15" is hotter than 17" and that makes it a bad choice, altough its not really confirmed yet.
As for the noise, a reseller posted them on the Sager/Clevo _T_ owners review lounge and its not bad at all..
Working on full load is around 51db... wich is normal...
and working on word/webbrowsing, is quieter than a library..
So check the Sager/Clevo forums, you will get a lot of your questions answered there.

Then for comparison, i would go to the "What should i buy" thread and ask there, once you have all the info.

51dB for me is very loud. But still Asus on extreme load reaches 43, which is high too. If you are noise sensitive you'll probably die :D

51dB as i recall was douring futeremark test, and i belive its loud, but not "bad" loud, keep in mind something that will stress as futuremark is probably a game, and you wont even hear the 51db...

For me, the important part is the "idle" "light workload" dB, since thats when you are working on the laptop, not gaming or anything, and its a problem to hear a lot of noice there...

Keep in mind, ASUS have a lower graphic(if you are talking about G74) or a more efficient graphic(if you are talking about G75) ... so it does not need that much cooling...

128 bit on the 660m(64GB/s) still has a larger bandwidth than the 192 bit on 560m (60GB/s).

    10 times the intensity. Intensity I ~ P^2.
    dB=10log(I/Io) or dB=20log(P/Po)
But, as I said, human ear doesn't hear it as 10 times increase in noise level due to the dynamic nature (logarithmic) of the hearing process. Although, it's still noticeably louder.
You might be right that most people probably (speculation) would say that it's twice as loud. Subjective perception depends not only on dB level, but on the noise spectrum and the individual's ability to "hear" such frequency as well.

You can preorder the ASUS G75VW-AS71 on amazon right now for $1450. I don't know what the specs are exactly on that SKU though.

But this is the lame ASUS G75 version with 660M. You can get very similar if not same spec but with GTX 670M card. Which is a better deal by far imo.

Correction, I guess the Amazon's laptop is 16GB but the con is 660M.

Powernotebooks has a preorder on ASUS with 8GB with 670M for $1425 ish.... but their listing is gone. Interesting..... maybe they took it down to change the price? Any thoughts?

Yup, Nvidia gimped it themselves; 660M would have great potential if it were 192-bit, but nooooo that would make it better than the 670M, but IT. MUST. FOLLOW. NAMING. ORDER.

i think that was probably their logic, but you could easily OC the 660M to 670M levels due to its cooler and lower wattage properties.

Should be able to get to the same level the 670M can OC to, hopefully the power per wattage advantage the 660M has helps on this.

OC latop gpu is very easy with msi afterburner. U can rise gpu clocks and increase performance by 15-20% very easily. I talk about g74, since its cooling is the best. It increses heat ant loud and preformance.
BUT overclocking clevo, sager would be totaly suicide

People OC Clevo's all the time, they have plenty of headroom too.

Maybe seems a little low to me anyway considering what your buying :p it is pre order though so. Depending on reviews and pricing when it comes out (and i mean reviews from the wonderful people on here :p) ill choose between the G74 and G75. Was gonna get the 74 but if the 75 is coming out soon ill just wait :D

I would STRONGLY suggest getting the G75. As a ASUS G74 owner... you're better off getting the G75. Almost same price. More bang out of your buck.

I would like to say a nice Hello from germany and i was reading this Thread from the beginning.
So a thanks to all for the informations from u folks :)

I am a little confused. I am looking at: Configurator

Will the G75 have a 660M (slower, less power) or a 670M, or customizable?

Can the 660M safely overclock up the 670M speeds?

Is the "72% NTSC Color Gamut MATTE LED backlit LCD" upgrade for $100 worth it?

It really is. G74 1600 something G75 from whats on amazon and such 1400 :D. But theres only like what 15% performance gain over the 560M? Dont know how good the Ivys preformance will be. Im gonna get it anyway though cause I like the G75s sleeker design so ill buy it..... after i read some reviews :D. So i know if theres something wrong with it like the M11xs hinge problem :p And if the thinner design keeps it as cool and quiet as the G74 was said to be :D

By the way...... which topic was that again? My bookmarks got deleted so i dont know what ive posted to :(
