SUADE8880 had a really nice GTX 280M. For some reason yours couldn't handle those clocks at factory voltage.

ahh that is much better alternative. post scores with no OC and that insane OC lol.
-
Thanks for the ignore.
What thread is this? -
^wut?
what do u mean ignore? i think its the opposite, you ignored SS response rite below yours that tells exactly what you asked and in case you have trouble reading, there really is no point of me telling you this thread in this reply...since you obviously cannot read the top of the browser, or press page 1 to go see what this thread is about.
no offense...but....dam man a 4 yr old couldve figured that out by himself. -

He got you there, dwainewheeler, haha. Played by the book. -

So the 186.81's aren't scoring as good as the 195 betas. I'm in the process of changing the drivers yet again to 195 but here's what 186.81 got:

is that the 4:3 standard? looks like it, but just making sure....and iM THE REAL FORGE!!! stop taking my avatar!
edit: hmm those were the high overclocks. honestly, i thought it would peak into high 13K. that is only 700 pt difference between mine and you have +80 core/+105 mem/+195 shaders. that is a BIG boost imo...i guess not as big as i thought. i do have slightly higher CPU score but i was amazed that those OC vs mine only brought about +379 in SM2.0 and +590 on SM3.0.
ofc. all things said above are void if done in 900p

Crash Course campaign temperatures. Stock voltages (.95v) Nvidia Reference Clocks: 550/950/1375. -
That's pretty impressive, I thought it'd be much higher. My 8690 got up to 78C at max. Not bad at all sir, not bad at all.
-
This is also with no copper modding yet, btw =]
-
Forge you still without the shims on that furmark?
What do you mean.. you took all blocks out?
Edit avatar coping... you guys just fool me.....

I have no idea what you're talking about.
-
and fooling ppl was the main point.
but who knows, maybe alienware's design already so good that putting copper sinks wouldnt make much difference? it already has a GG cooling design and it not made outta plastic like the other "generic" gaming laptops...this is a innovation of great engineering in the notebook world lawl -
Soviet Sunrise Notebook Prophet
It's just a die cast aluminium cold plate, two elongated heatpipes, a small radiator, and a fan for the CPU and GPU. It's nothing too innovative considering the sheer size of the notebook.
-
i've been reading this thread from page1 till now, i really like it how you guys modify your asus G series and i want to share some of my modification on this notebook inspired by this thread,
i use custom fans under the laptop taking this test.
i'm still waiting for my copper and sekisui to come
sorry for my bad english
-
are these frequencies(610/1000/1525 vs. 606/1000/1515) at 0.95v ?
, or did you increase the voltage of the GPU? -
Did the harddrive's copper plate do anything to temps? Aswell what did you do to attach it?
-
well not much, i don't know what did i do wrong but the HDD temp almost the same before and after using copper plate
-

What kind of heatspreader is that on your RAM?
-
-
SoundOf1HandClapping Was once a Forge
Be a man and do 20 minutes.
-
the test was for 10 minutes, stabilization was for 5. After 5 minutes of being at the same temperature I saw no point in continuing. I can do 45 minutes if you like forge, my temps will still be lower than yours =P

I should have my games installed by this Friday. I am way too lazy right now to finish setting up my OS.

Bah, hurry it up Soviet! We need some russian power for another attempt at M-I-C

HATE SO MUCH HATE, Element.
-
i make it myself from a copper plate 0.50mm, i have sunbeamtech memory heat spreader but i'm planning to use it on another RAM.
how did you get those temp without copper blocks coolingpad and a hole??
-
SoundOf1HandClapping Was once a Forge
His laptop was born lucky.
-
Is that possible? same hardware but different performance how come?
i will ask ASUS about this hahahahaha

It's all about quality control, my friend. EIement just happened to pick up the golden sample.
-
CitizenPanda Notebook Deity NBR Reviewer
Probably could have been a GTX280 if those shaders worked...
-
So what's your ambient there EIement?
-
SoundOf1HandClapping Was once a Forge
He's usually in the 60F-70F range.
-
My ambient at the time of that 75C test was approximately 72F.
-
So your laptop is running as cool as most desktops?
My watercooled rig hits low 70Cs under high load with ambient in the high 70Fs.
I dunno - whatever. Just sounds way unbelievable. -
apparently you can't believe your own eyes? furmark results don't lie.
-
Nope. Can't believe my eyes there. Or the temperature sensors. Or the forum poster. You decide which. Either way it's just too good to be true but arguing about it is just not worth it.

That's the same thing people said to me when I first modded my notebook. But as I kept on posting raw data and explicit details, they were soon convinced that it is a reality. In this case, EIement has already posted his results several times in this forum and his temps have only been getting better as the winter gets colder. But the catch is he hasn't touched his notebook yet. His notebook truly is the "golden one." -
Unless someone dethrone's him of that title
-
SoundOf1HandClapping Was once a Forge
If you want to call him a liar just go on out and say it. No need for insinuations.
While it would make me very happy if he were a liar with uber photoshop skills, I highly doubt it. He just got very lucky with his machine, the same way people get very unlucky with theirs. Thankfully, I feel my machine is fairly lucky, even before the mods.
Definitely not as lucky as Element's, but that G51vx-X1A is a freak of nature.
Grab copper and a drill, now!
