SUADE8880 had a really nice GTX 280M. For some reason yours couldn't handle those clocks at factory voltage.

    ^wut?

what do u mean ignore? i think its the opposite, you ignored SS response rite below yours that tells exactly what you asked and in case you have trouble reading, there really is no point of me telling you this thread in this reply...since you obviously cannot read the top of the browser, or press page 1 to go see what this thread is about.

no offense...but....dam man a 4 yr old couldve figured that out by himself.

So the 186.81's aren't scoring as good as the 195 betas. I'm in the process of changing the drivers yet again to 195 but here's what 186.81 got:

is that the 4:3 standard? looks like it, but just making sure....and iM THE REAL FORGE!!! stop taking my avatar!

edit: hmm those were the high overclocks. honestly, i thought it would peak into high 13K. that is only 700 pt difference between mine and you have +80 core/+105 mem/+195 shaders. that is a BIG boost imo...i guess not as big as i thought. i do have slightly higher CPU score but i was amazed that those OC vs mine only brought about +379 in SM2.0 and +590 on SM3.0.

ofc. all things said above are void if done in 900p :)

and fooling ppl was the main point.

but who knows, maybe alienware's design already so good that putting copper sinks wouldnt make much difference? it already has a GG cooling design and it not made outta plastic like the other "generic" gaming laptops...this is a innovation of great engineering in the notebook world lawl

It's just a die cast aluminium cold plate, two elongated heatpipes, a small radiator, and a fan for the CPU and GPU. It's nothing too innovative considering the sheer size of the notebook.

, or did you increase the voltage of the GPU?

My watercooled rig hits low 70Cs under high load with ambient in the high 70Fs.

That's the same thing people said to me when I first modded my notebook. But as I kept on posting raw data and explicit details, they were soon convinced that it is a reality. In this case, EIement has already posted his results several times in this forum and his temps have only been getting better as the winter gets colder. But the catch is he hasn't touched his notebook yet. His notebook truly is the "golden one."

If you want to call him a liar just go on out and say it. No need for insinuations.

While it would make me very happy if he were a liar with uber photoshop skills, I highly doubt it. He just got very lucky with his machine, the same way people get very unlucky with theirs. Thankfully, I feel my machine is fairly lucky, even before the mods.

Definitely not as lucky as Element's, but that G51vx-X1A is a freak of nature.
