So you are running a dual boot. can XP be installed on the second HDD?

 

I guess I should get in line at a vendor - maybe Xotic, xcaliber, or provantage. It depends on their rating and if I pay tax and shipping I guess. I still would like to extend the warranty an extra year too.

Has anyone else swapped cpu's on their own? I've built plenty of desktops and fix computers so I'd be fairly confident doing it if the chassis didn't make it extremely difficult to do. I'm considering swapping and selling off my small form factor / cube-like desktop pc eventually.

 

a CPU swap is fairly easy in most systems (DEFINATELY NOT THE TOSHIBA)
so im pretty sure you could do it on your own if you say u have knowlage on how.

I have had tri-boot before also, back when I used to keep xp around for compatibility reasons, but vista has come far enough along that I dont use xp anymore (except my netbook, but its dual boot too)

 

Well im still waiting on mime and time is ticking before i come back to the states

 

Patience is going to be a virtue here for everybody, the production line is surly having issues keeping up with the RMA's and Asus is probably going to cut back sending units out unless they are 100%.

In the end we should call come out a winner, so it goes back to that saying "all good things come with time"

 

lets hope so. It aint like 2/7 here

it won't even turn on anymore, i had to borrow my girlfriend's crappy hp laptop. i'm dying to get my hands on the w90 so i can spend my summer vacation gaming.. i've spent almost 2 years in college non-stop, and am taking only 1 class this summer, yay!

 

I think it depends on the person. I have a real life friend who, well, kind of sounds like him and he is burnt beyond burnt. Every once in awhile we'll go out bar hopping and listing to the ramblings he spews even makes "Paranoia," in the dictionary shake its head.

Has anyone got Windows 7 Rc build 7100 to install? If so master/master or master slave cfg. Also what drivers and double check your 2nd card and see if you got an error 10 (cannot start). Thanks.

 

awww well if the chipset is only specd out to 8 than i would recmend that you dont waste or risk wasting your monies. (something I am prone to doing)

I had some weird issues with mine after I flashed. I flashed the slave to master and loaded the 4870x2 drivers for both.

Occasionally when loading TF2, the screen would totally freak out. It would go through a never ending color sequence. The screen would go blue, red yellow...etc...changing about every second. I thought it was a GPU test of some sort but it never ended.

It locked the computer up so hard I had to hard boot. After some trouble shooting, it only seems to happen when I clock up to 2.75 with Setfsb...at stock settings, it's fine.

Today I'll drop the clocks to 2.70 and check for stability.

 

Wow may 20th ? there delayed till,ouch. Maybe there really testing these things hardcore to make sure everythings good because there getting killed on the RMA's.

DVD & CD & BR for sure, not sure about VCD... not even sure if VCD is any different than a regular CD.

Though if your burning a VCD you may as well break out the casset tapes too while your at it.

Pretty happy with it overall, though I haven't done much burning with it yet.

 

i guess it won't be until the 20th... ugh. i need that laptop asap, haha. i got school starting up again on the 28th... noooo!!!

i have a question - how much of a difference will it make if i do the overclocking from the guide make in gaming compared to if i just use the built in overclock switch? if that makes any sense... finals week has made my brain turn into mush.
